I like watching hate reviews of movies I dislike. I loved Split and hated Glass. I really enjoyed yourmoviesucks review of it, so much I watched it twice. I usually like everything too. There are only a handful movies I hate. Glass, Arrival, The Last Airbender and Death Note (2017) are the only ones i can even think of.

This is a rare quality around here (internet), you choose to speak about things you love and don't waste time putting down things you don't. Life is way better that way.
To Each their 0wn...? I just feel like there's enough negatives already in 0ur Universe perhaps the positives could use a bit more points.....I was watching Nova and like 0ur Universe is mostly dark matter space light ...the anti to 0ur very existence and that seems way out of balance to me...maybe when you get what you give comes into play more people will wake up to it...? Yeah..? Sorry that's just my last 2cents on the matter Good day...¿!!
@@keegan8147 ... And post it on a monetized YT channel to convey how their opinion is valuable and smart. Unlike those who doesn't agree. Yes there is something weird about that. There is probably something you dislike and can't allow people to have fun with. I don't see why it's of any value. Nothing wrong with opinions tho, negative opinions made public is a form of propaganda, like kicking down Brie Larson using half quotes and bad reporting or using trends to denounce other shit you dislike, and as far as Marc B. I don't agree with most of what he says but being a legitimate journalist and writer there's always that part who pick my interest and i think his good sides and Kevin's friendship outweighs these bad reviews.
Tony just wanted to live life and didn't want to be a superhero...and in the end, he sacrificed everything to be THE hero. Steve just wanted to be a hero and never had a chance to live his life...and in the end, he got his chance to truly live.
Agreed. I keep being sad that the sweatiest of all sweaty nerds Jon Schepp (Collider, The Death of Superman Lives) died before this epic ending to the saga. RIP :(
I'm glad too, but as a nursing student he's fucking KILLING me with that cig! You know what's worse for your heart than being obese? Smoking. Crack is worse, but not by much... GET OFF THE NAILS, SMITH; America needs you!
as a 40 year old jaded AF sombitch, it's inspiring to see a big "grown up nerd" go over all the history, the nuance, the brilliance of this MCU phase. I generally hate pop culture, but the MCU has been something I've loved since reading the infinity series when I was a kid.
People who are bitching and making fun of Kevin getting emotional. Remember, Kevin shouldn't even be alive right now. So for him getting a second chance at life, and being able to see his favorite characters come together for one final culmination, is enough to make any man emotional. Give him a break! He has every right to be emotional
Why...are you going to try to sell him on a better way...lol Maybe like him liking to hold the Mic it's because He's Old School that way...besides not all the information is back on the vape affects .
There is nothing wrong with someone getting emotional over what they are passionate about. I teared up at most of the Cap stuff. It just really makes you feel things. No shame in that
That image of Cap standing in the dimming light facing down the entire Thanos army, is one of the most beautiful cinema scenes I can remember! Straight out of a comic book drawing!
My entire theater went dead silence on that(besides Nat's and Tony's death). The one sitting besides me was freaking out about how could they win,or even make it out alive. And when Sam's "on your left" came,we already flipped like a sports event!!!
The movie is terrible, though, a shame that Kevin who is not only a fan but a filmmaker and can realize better why the movie is terrible does not has the balls to tell the truth.
I am a 58 year old man that feels exactly like you do about these movies. I am glad I am alive to see characters from my childhood treated with such respect and skill. I am also so glad you are healthy and I get to hear your perspective as a film maker and a fan. Thank you and take care.
God I love all you guys I always wanted to hear the opinion of older people when it came to these movies I’m only 24 and can only imagine how amazing and cool it must be to see your favorite characters come to life
kevin, you are probably the only artist in the biz that isn't jaded, treating all this stuff like it's beneath you. Great to know that Hollywood hasnt killed your soul.
Thanks man, you nailed it. It’s so nice to see someone who ‘gets movies’. You and I are about the same age, and I cry all the time too... yup, unfuckable!
VRking- StandWithVic-daCat 6:15 here, and I’m about 20 minutes from the end. I love marvel, and I LOVE Kevin Smith. Dude gets you so hyped on movies. Listening to him talk about stuff is legit like talking to one of your homies when you were a kid and some crazy shit just happened.
I came close when Tony lost it ripped in to Steve and when they effectively lost again and it faded to black after Thor went for the head. But I did cry three times 1. The hammer 2. Assemble 3. Steve and Peggy
A Person we shouldn’t just cry at things that scare us or worse make us sad, happy tears happen just feel it you only live once. No one likes a whiny bitch tho. Lol
James Parker ah my goodness, was he seriously not at his coolest when his beard was braided and he was yielding stormbreaker AND Mjolnir??!?! Ugh.. the best!
Peter Shinn depressed wuss? He’s lost so much family n loved ones, and feels responsible for half of all life being obliterated. His weight gain and depression is so understandable and in my opinion a tremendous portrayal of those feelings and emotions!! All good though, your opinion, I get it.
@Zach it's also a nod to Scott Pilgrim vs the World. The director, Edgar Wright was supposed to have done Antman; he has a relationship with the Russos. Anyways...Thor's eating bread at the beginning of the movie and as we all know thanks to Scott Pilgrim, bread makes you fat.
Kern Albert dude, good looks! Very, VERY cool reference! My goodness do I love Scott Pilgrim vs The World lol and check this rad coincidence out... it just so happens that I quite literally just bought Max Payne 3 for my Xbox One, maybe two to three weeks ago. Well, it is NOT backwards compatible, but thankfully I still have my 360. So I hooked that bad boy up, and remembered that Scott Pilgrim isn’t backwards compatible either, so I started playing that as well!
You left out the best part! Captain America and the entire MCU staring down Thanos's army and Cap yells "Avengers!....assemble." I never cry in movies, but that shit literally brought a tear to my eye.
This is why I love you Kevin Smith. I love movies the same way you do and don't meet many people who feel the same so watching your videos gives me comfort in a way I'm forever grateful for.
I had tears running down my face during the "on your left," "Avengers assemble" part. It was like 20+ years of reading comics came to life on the screen.
Yeah man, got me too. I heard "On your left," laughed and cried at the same time. I can just hear Falcon telling Cap "Don't you say it, don't you say it." I totally marked out.
Tried hard not to cry and succeeded (surprisingly, lol). I've been into Marvel since the early 90s and watched the movies starting when the 1st X Men movie in 2000 came out. These 10 years of movies were the best ones ever made! Great way to end the storyline.
it was surprisingly effective regardless which is the definition of great entertainment/art-- never read a comic in my life, felt goosebumps at that coming together too.
Kevin Smith's sincerity, positivity and lack of ego are so refreshing in this era of overcritical fandom wars and nitpicky bullshit we see saturating RUclips. God bless.
Yeah he's the exact opposite of a hater. He seems to go to a movie wanting to love it and that's what we need in this world where cynicism and hatred sells more than positivity
Watch pretty much any other look into the camera and talk to the audience RUclips channel and you’ll understand why I give him props for doing it in one take.
Sir, I am new from Taiwan. I watch this video over and over...... and I really want to say thank you for sharing your feeling. I am deeply deeply touched.
Agreed! I actually didn't cry in the movie, but I cried watching Kevin get emotional about how touching he found all of it! Thank you for sharing your passion for all of this!
The "Avengers Asemble" scene is the only movie scene i have ever watched in my entire life that made me genuinely happy. To the point of tears happy. It blew my mind a little. I loved this movie 3000
There is too much nitpicking and negativity on the internet so it's really refreshing and heartwarming to just hear someone with such genuine love and passion talk about..well, anything :') Thank you Kevin!
Dude I saw it and infinity was so much better . This movie it's okay but not what million of people expected it's like. Terminator 1 it's good but terminator 2 it's so much better.. infinity it's way so much better than endgame.
Jon Favreau needs more credit. None of this would've been possible if Iron Man 1 wouldn't have been such a charismatic and on point movie. It's still one of the best Marvel movies and easily the best origin one. Marvel need to thank that man for laying the foundation with such a great movie.
Strange I hear people raving about Favreau, plus he is a big go to guy for Disney. So I see nothing but love for him unless you are looking for weird fetish perv love for the guy.....😂
This was my first time watching Kevin Smith's channel on any platform and I gotta say it was refreshing. His humanity, his humility and overall vulnerability to something he holds so close to his heart just like the rest of us do, made me a subscriber. And no worries Kevin, I cried right along side you. Bc this movie hit the mind, body, & soul. P.s. Rip Iron Man, We love you 3000.
It crushed me when Pepper says to Tony, “Everyone is safe, you can rest now!” This man gave up everything and dedicated his life to protecting everyone, such an amazing redemption arc from when we first meet Tony in Iron Man. To quote another favorite film, “Niagara Falls Franky Angel”!
Tony’s heroism is understated by the Media, and I want to thank you, Kevin Smith, for clueing me into this during this wonderful retelling of one of the greatest movies ever made. They (the media) always refer to his heroism as, “he gave his life to defeat Thanos”. The big baddie who was coming to get us. He basically achieved Ultron, but by taking the enemy out rather than just building a shield. “You can rest now Tony.” But it’s deeper than that. Tony was DONE, man. He had tapped out. He GAVE UP AVENGING. He had a family now. His one stipulation on rejoining was that he had to protect what he had now. His family. His inner peace. At all costs. AT ALL COSTS. This was foreshadowing - because he succeeded at all his goals. He undid his greatest mistake, protected humanity from the big baddie, AND paid the ultimate price to make it happen. Yeah, he kept that promise to his family too, but not with him by their side. And THAT’s what he sacrificed. More than his life. He’s more than a hero. He’s a tragedy. He’s a legend that frankly is poised to transcend the screen into pop culture. Holy fuck Feige, how did you turn an admittedly-underrated character in 2008 and turn him into the next Luke fucking Skywalker???
@@ConanTheCimmerian To you it is just a movie...to people like Mike Diamond, Kevin Smith , myself and millions of others, it's a lifestyle. We grew up between the pages of comic books. Some people look up to sports figures, politicians , musicians or actors. But we look up to the comics and the stories that live on the pages. So don't disrespect someone for how the movie makes us feel or think. Such a great movie with highs and lows and everything in between. I actually feel as though I lost family members with the death of Tony and Natasha. Even if it is make believe.
Funny. You know nothing of my life . You haven't a clue of any life experiences that I have. I am as happy and content as I have ever been, and if putting me down is your way of feeling better about yourself, then I'm glad I could be the punching bag for you. THANK YOU MCU .....I admit I AM the "40 Yr Old White guy" That Brie Larson HATES. And yes, the one that complained LOUD whenever MCU made a change to the comic books. Even endured Super Friends & Hall of Justice cartoon. BUT THIS movie paid homage to US Geek-80's Children. Only regret is that I will never see Endgame for FIRST time again . So to Stan Lee we say thank you & to all fellow 80's kids were Circa 1983 on every Saturday morning and as I was once again upon seeing Endgame for the first time. THANK YOU MCU Feige-Russos's, etc, etc..priceless. JJB Oh, and to Brie Larson? , I'll just quote what one of my sisters said about you, "it's actually FUN being a girl!...BRIE should TRY IT SOMETIME, she may actually like it"!
I'm crying with you man. Captain America dancing with Peggy is just... every thing we all wanted for Cap. Tears of joy for something so sweet and for not killing off my favorite Marvel Superhero. I love you Kev... with ya all the way buddy.
Yes, exactly. I actually saw some criticism of Cap's decision, that it was a selfish cop-out because he presumably wouldn't have gotten involved or intervened or anything in his timeline with Peggy and this was somehow an abrogation of responsibility, even after all he'd given of himself, and that it isn't compatible with the rules of time travel they established, but I think it is, the only thing changed was that Peggy never married her original husband, so it's possible that another alternate timeline got created but it's also possible that timeline was similar enough to eventually merge back into the original, which is how he's able to be on the bench in 2023
@@BlargeMan I literally don't understand how people can't see this. It was explained and then shown clearly that as long as cap put the stones back, the timeline will fix itself. So by him going back in time dropping the stones off and then staying in the past, that means he was ALWAYS there, and he was ALWAYS Peggy's husband.
@@BlargeMan for me the confusing aspect is if Steve stays in the past in the 1970s does that mean steve lived in secret while cap was unfrozen and joined the avengers and all that? Were there two Steve rogers at that point?
Yeah I think going forward we will see the repercussions of Steve's decision to stay in the past... I think it's going to cause ripples that effect everything
My Mum was a huge MCU fan. She always called Tony "her boy", she loved Iron Man in those movies, but after Civil War, she told me that Steve was her favourite, after she sided with him during the Serkovia Accord situation. She had cancer during that movie and she died before Infinity War and Endgame. Every now and then I'll have a dream that she's come back to life somehow, usually due to having underwent some sort of treatment that she didn't want to tell me about and this magical treatment worked and the first thing we do when she gets back is we go watch Infinity War and End Game. It just wasn't meant to be though.
I loved that story. You could argue it did happen and even men in the United States, in the mountains of West Virginia, knew about your mom, her battle, things she enjoyed. She is with you and here.
Thank you Kevin for not giving us a REVIEW but a LOVE LETTER to ENDGAME, because that is what Endgame itself was, and that is what it deserves. It was the ultimate and most ELOQUENT love letter to the fans and the viewers of the franchise. We just witnessed history being made in cinema and the ultimate story of glory. I want to thank everyone who has ever been involved in making these films.
Grim Loxz I also hate that you're that guy. TLJ was the second movie in a trilogy and the eighth in the franchise. This was the culmination of 22 movies and is meant to be the finale. There is no comparison and you just want to hate.
The cheeseburger scene got me, I started tearing up once I seen Dr Strange look at Tony and put his finger up thinking oh damn it's coming full circle from Iron Man but I was still holding it together in the funeral but I finally shed tears when Morgan said cheeseburgers as it took me back, the writing was epic!
I shed a tear because some asshole screamed out "Iron Man Dies!!!" While he was walking out of his screening and I was waiting in line for mine. Still at least I got to see "how" it happens, so it wasnt totally ruined.
@Dan S It was because of the scene in infinity war when dr strange looks at all the different outcomes and they only win once in like 14 million, he put his finger up because this is the one outcome where they win
I was holding back tears from the moment Dr. Strange opened that first portal to the end of the movie... Soooo many contrasting emotions... Truly an incredible movie... Maybe the best I've ever seen...
The reveal of Cap wielding Mjolnir was THE BIGGEST NERDGASM of my whole life! Cap saying, "Avengers; ASSEMBLE!" I saw it 3 times as Imax screens, and the first can never be repeated. The reaction of the audience is something I doubt I'll ever experience again. It was MAGICAL.
I was able to see Endgame on its opening weekend. Never before in my life had I seen an audience react like we all did that day. We laughed, we screamed... And we cried. Thank you for this review, Kevin. And thank you Stan Lee Jack Kirby Steve Ditko
Saw it opening night, and moments like that, Cap wielding Mjolnir, in a packed theater, with everyone totally immersed and emotionally invested in a movie, no, an event like that and the reaction of all, cannot be duplicated, it's a once in a lifetime moment, and my absolute best moment I ever had in a theater watching a movie. So damn cool, thanks Marvel, you guys rock🤘
Rich O i saw the midnight showing and the rerelease of endgame and ive decided that nothing can ever beat this movie. im a fan of many universes and worlds but this by far is the greatest thing i have ever had the honor of witnessing. so many iconic moments and tears shed. the feelings i went through watching this movie...oh my god it was insane. i will NEVER forget how i felt watching it. the environment of a theater just as excited and invested in these comics and these movies as you are is mind boggling, the energy is amazing
I saw this opening night and it saddens that even when I see it again it will never be the same experience and I highly doubt I'll ever experience a sold out theater with a crowd THAT into a movie. I swore the cheers when Cap grabbed Mjolnir were going to blow the roof off the theater. It was amazing.
Cap’s life with Peggy made me bawl my eyes out. I drove thirty minutes to the theater opening night and I cried the entire drive back thinking About Cap getting the life he never got. Such powerful storytelling and I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one crying about it.
I've seen Endgame now 3 times. I did get emotional during the films. But straight up, right now, here at work in a damn cubicle, just LISTENING to this video, man,... Kevin is a master storyteller of real life. Kevin you narrating your experience had me with tears at moments just remembering the film through your experience. Thank you for this video. I meant what I said when I met you in KC some time back, THIS love that you show for the creative forces from the actors, to the source material, to everyone involved, and you getting what it takes to make a pinnacle sort of media/film event like this, THIS is why I am a fan of yours man. Thanks for this video.

+heggaj FYI, it wasn't the same sound and the timing was different, therefore it's not Tony and the Mk1. Having said that it's probably still referencing that moment, possibly hinting at the future.
@Dan S It was already a little slower than the original but I get what you mean. Although I think it was done to be more of a hopeful thing, rather than a mournful thing. I'm not willing to say it was definitely a reference yet as it could be several things and we don't know who was doing it. It's highly likely though, I just don't state speculation as fact.
I loved it... I was like this really is the end... No end credit hyping the next movie... 22 movie trilogy wrapped up.. While they set everything up for another set of movies to begin.. And they trolled the audience... While i chuckled a bit as it happened, you could hear ither people be disappointed..

I've been waiting 22 movies for someone to say "Avengers Assemble" and they teased it at the end of one of the other ones where they just said "Avengers…" And then faded to black. My buddy slapped me on the arm at that moment and said "you finally got your Avengers assemble moment".
@msa1985 Age of Ultron..Cap and Widow are in the Avengers facilty starting training for Wanda Vision and Falcon. Cap says "Avengers..." fade to black. there was never a take where Chris Evans actually said Assemble...till now
After all of the Avengers movies, and all of the other movies that included the Avengers, I cannot believe that it was accidental that the iconic "Avengers Assemble" tag line was withheld until this ultimate battle. I believe that it was avoided because it would be the send off of the original (MCU) Avengers team.
Two movies made me want to cry like a baby in the theater: The Passion of the Christ, and Avengers: Endgame. It was a very beautiful film. Fan service indeed!
I love how passionate Kevin is about movies. I love Kevin for taking his kid. Especially to this one. I took my son for the same reason. This was the greatest movie ever made. 20 years and 20+ movies in the making like he said. RIP Mr. Lee. Thank you.
It's the second hour-long review I've watched, and I'm going to see Endgame again tomorrow. It's what you do when you love something. You take it to the hilt.
When Cap caught mjolnir, and when the infamous "Avengers... Assemble" was said, the crowd erupted with sheer joy. The end of the movie, my screening got a standing ovation. Was a once in a lifetime experience.
And it was all the sweeter after they deliberately cut it off at the end of Age of Ultron... didn’t Cap once say something about the importance of patience?
I normally don’t care for the “Point by Point” breakdown movie reviews, but with Kevin Smith, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Your personality is so entertaining and emotional it brings such a great spin to this type of review. Thanks bro, over a year later after the movie review and I still like to watch this now and then.
Holy crap. I can't believe I just watched a 1 hour and 14 minute video of Kevin Smith reviewing everything that happened in Avengers: Endgame. I'm not even a huge fan of Smith's movies, but I love the dude's personality. He seems like such a good, warmhearted guy, beaming with positive vibes. Someone that'd be awesome to chill with. And his passion and enthusiasm for movies and comic books is incredible. Those are two things I've always loved and been passionate about since childhood, so it's really cool to see him geek out about these things the same way I do.
And he goes into movies with the right attitude. He's there to have a good time. I always wonder how unhappy the people are who bash movies that I genuinely enjoy.
Yeah the reason I started watching his movies in the mid-1990's was my brother told me the director was a big comics fan and has comics references in all his movies.
Well, he spends an awful lot of time just telling us what happens in the movie. I don't need that. I've seen it. I'm thinking that this could make an awesome reaction movie, showing us his reactions in real time while the movie is playing, but as it is it gets a bit boring. And sure, actually having the movie on screen would probably be flagged as a copyright violation, but he could make it to be shown as a commentary track while we're watching the movie on disc or online.

Yo, when Lang knocked on that door, the crowd was on edge. The suspense of Lang seeing his baby girl older + the suspense of her knowing her father was alive + the suspense over knowing whether or not she survived the snap was pretty overwhelming. That knock was powerful.
Just like Michael Keaton is the ONLY Batman, Sean Connery is the ONLY 007 and Tobey Maguire is the ONLY Spider-Man, right? 😉 MY idea for the next Tony Stark: Christian Bale wrap your head around THAT one!!! 😉
I'm with your there Kev, I still tear up at the mention of the "on your left" moment - it might be my favourite part of the whole movie. Such a great scene: Cap's beaten down and injured, shield broken but we know Cap' will get up and it's the first time I've wanted him to stay down. He stands, and we get that glorious wide shot of the shrinking light vs the growing dark of the sky reflecting Caps lone stand against the rising tide of Thanos' army, and just as we accept the fate of Cap, the static filled message reaches out to him "on your left" and slowly but surely the army of heroes emerges one by one in their glory punctuated by a moment of levity with Wong retorting Strange's question of "Is this everyone" with "What, you wanted more?" and BAM, Giant Antman, Rocket and Warmachine to round out the team. And the cheery on top; Cap, leading them all and finally getting to say the line we've been waiting to hear for so long: "Avengers assemble" I got chills reliving the memory of this.
That scene when cap is standing alone against Thanos army reminded me of this "As long as one man stands against you, Thanos you'll never be able to claim victory." Cap says to Thanos in the comics
(Paraphrasing) "This movie is about supermen and superwomen. The 'super' part is what got us in but the 'men and women' part is what makes us stay." best qoute I got from this hour long story..Loved it!
THAT... is the best quote I have heard applied to anything... in a very long time. Kevin, I'll be repeating that quote for the rest of my life man, as to me it feels so "universal" Ha! but seriously, great quote!
The only moment that you missed that was a HUGE moment for me was Cap finally saying Avengers Assemble! The build up to that moment was the stuff of emotional orgasmic bliss for me. Seeing Cap being the last line of defense against Thanos and his oncoming destruction of everything and then the portals opening, EVERYONE stepping through and then you see that shot as Cap looks at Thanos. He’s got a second wind in him. It’s his “I can do this all day” look. And in that moment when you see everyone back and every single last one of them is gunning for Thanos after what he did and Cap finally says those two words, I saw that as an epic version of Tony “knighting” Spider-Man in Infinity War as an Avenger. That was his “everyone standing beside me is an Avenger today” moment and man did it get me.
One of my favorite moments I haven't seen mentioned: Scarlett Witch: "You...you took everything from me." Thanos: "I don't even know who you are!" Scarlett Witch: "You will."
@FBI My fav moment, is when they first arrive back in NY, and they come across Hulk throwing a tantrum. Cap tells Bruce, "...and maybe smash a little." Bruce, "I think it's gratuitous, but...rrrr....ahhh" :)
"A movie so big, it had TWO directors!" It sounded great from you, but I did picture Stan Lee saying that, and it made it sound more epic. This was a great discussion of Endgame. The funeral broke me. Jarvis was a major character in the "Agent Carter" series. One of the rare times that they actually referenced the shows in the films.
Charles Lee I don’t think they were referencing the show I think they called him Jarvis and showed it because of Iron Mans Suit Voice in Iron Man 1 2 and 3
@@shortstarwarsessays1842 Except that was literally the actor who plays Jarvis in the Agent Carter Series. Its a direct reference and who the J.A.R.V.I.S system was named after.
@Ozlo Vega why do you watch them if they don't move you? noone makes you go see this shit. I love it. I super duper love it. Your completely wrong and maybe dead inside. But of course YMMV.
When cap finally says Avengers Assemble, holding on to that line for so long, teasing it in Age of Ultron, then the amazing delivery when our heroes are gathered.
When Mjölnir flew to Cap and then Thor said "I knew it!" I shed a tear of happiness and then lost my shit from the epic ass beating he gave Thanos (at least for then).
Thank you very much... this is by far the best review / recap I‘ve ever seen.... I was tearing up again, just by reliving all those moments and emotions once more... and seeing someone appreciating all the thoughts and nods in this masterpiece makes me feel so connected to Kev... thank you sir!
As a man, I have never openly wept in front of so many strangers so many different times. It was pure cinema Magic! In fact, I had to step away from my desk at work while listening to your recap! DAMN that was a masterpiece and I hope they release a master cut of both movies set combined as 1 truly epic tale.🔥. I’ll watch that multiple times. Good on ya Kevin for being such a fan! Always love your passion man!
When Tony introduces himself and Howard Stark goes to shake his hand, Tony instinctively grabs one finger - the way a little kid would when taking his dad's hand 😭
oh ya know what, I only just realized, I guess I was thinking he did that because Tony had this sudden last second fear that if like he physically touched his own father the universe would've collapsed in on itself or something lol... Although speaking of that moment, remember before they even go to 1970, Tony assures Steve "They're both there, and I know how I know that". At first I was thinking it had something to do with the timeline of when Tony was conceived, and yet when he's with Howard in the elevator and Howard says how his wife's pregnant, that seems to surprise Tony. So I'm not quite sure how Tony knew that, if it wasn't anything to do with his own birth.
When Tony Stark died my theater got real quit and you could hear people sniffing and crying. It was so sad especially when they showed Tony Stark's first mini arc reactor that had "Proof Tony Stark has a heart" Etched into it. Any movie that can invoke an emotional response like that is gold. They did a great job with this film.
This is the most beautiful reaction review I have ever ever watched about endgame. I was crying right along with you while you were talking about it❤ thank you so much for being so vulnerable. I know this is a 5-year-old video but I just had to write this

So simple but so much tied into those words. So much meaning. Loved it. Best send off.
“You can rest now Tony.”
But it’s deeper than that.

Glytchi Dolphin that meme just went full circle and we can all die in peace
Marvel one year later: hold my fucking beer
Movie sucked and it wasn't ANYWHERE close to as epic as Infinity War was.
I just cried together with Kevin Smith about super heroes and fan service. This is it. There won't be anything better today. I'm done. Thanks, man!
Crying solves nothing, man up and move on.
Cap’s life with Peggy made me bawl my eyes out. I drove thirty minutes to the theater opening night and I cried the entire drive back thinking About Cap getting the life he never got. Such powerful storytelling and I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one crying about it.
His arc is so pitch-perfect. And yes, I welled up in the theater myself.
All it means is that big boys like myself can FINALLY COSPLAY.. AS THOR!!!!!
No need. Thor is already cosplaying as us. 👍

"I'll pay anybody to make me feel something" - Kevin Smith
one hundred percent explains why I'm a nerd thanks kevin
Nobody mentioning Cap vs. Cap
Past Cap "I can go all day!"
Future Cap "Yeah, I know"
Future Cap: "Bucky is alive"
Past Cap: Lets go of Steve
Future Cap: Knocks out past Cap thinking "works every time."
That might of been my favorite part. Loved it
That moment when Cap realize he could be an insufferable boy scout and Tony had a point after all.
"That is America's ass."

No post credit scene, except for the echoing bang of Tony crafting the mk1 on an anvil, which is a great full circle moment.
heggaj maybe the kid from iron man 3 making his own suit
@@themaster408 tony's daughter Morgan could become the new iorn man while they use Tony as the new Jarvis... They had a few subtle hints at this in the movie with tony and his daughter... So many different ways they can go really...
The "Avengers Assemble" moment is the equivalent of the 2 page spread in any team-up issue.
I've been waiting 22 movies for someone to say "Avengers Assemble" and they teased it at the end of one of the other ones where they just said "Avengers…" And then faded to black. My buddy slapped me on the arm at that moment and said "you finally got your Avengers assemble moment".
@@cyborg555 Imagine if they had cut it a little bit late and just before the fade all he was able to get out was "Avengers! Ass!"
@msa1985 Age of Ultron..Cap and Widow are in the Avengers facilty starting training for Wanda Vision and Falcon. Cap says "Avengers..." fade to black. there was never a take where Chris Evans actually said Assemble...till now
It's also what Chris Evans sends on group text for everyone to hang out.
After all of the Avengers movies, and all of the other movies that included the Avengers, I cannot believe that it was accidental that the iconic "Avengers Assemble" tag line was withheld until this ultimate battle. I believe that it was avoided because it would be the send off of the original (MCU) Avengers team.
I love you Kevin Smith. I'm crying watching this with you. I'm 40yo man child too! We are blessed.

Two movies made me want to cry like a baby in the theater: The Passion of the Christ, and Avengers: Endgame. It was a very beautiful film. Fan service indeed!
Stop crying! Better yet, don't admit that your 40 and crying over a superhero film... 👎
I love how passionate Kevin is about movies. I love Kevin for taking his kid. Especially to this one. I took my son for the same reason.
This was the greatest movie ever made. 20 years and 20+ movies in the making like he said.
RIP Mr. Lee. Thank you.
Already seen Endgame but for some reason I watched this entire hour long video.
It's the second hour-long review I've watched, and I'm going to see Endgame again tomorrow. It's what you do when you love something. You take it to the hilt.
I watched Endgame on Saturday, but having seen Fatman talk about it, I just bought a ticket for a second viewing tonight.
Who would watch this spoiler-filled recap without seeing the movie first?

Watching this made my cry all over again! Awesome as always bro.
They treat time travel the same way Dragon Ball Super does.
It also killed me when Tony’s hologram says “I Love You 3000”
I noticed the dragon ball time travel as well and it pleases me greatly
yeah dbs and mcu both use the " changing the past creates alternate timelines" instead of the " if you change the past then you change the future"
Been waiting years for Cap to callout "Avengers Assemble!" 😃💪👍 YEARS!!!
When Cap caught mjolnir, and when the infamous "Avengers... Assemble" was said, the crowd erupted with sheer joy. The end of the movie, my screening got a standing ovation. Was a once in a lifetime experience.
When Cap did that, I yelled out "ASSEMBLE!"
Waited 72 years to see hipster Hulk! #woke
@@dsggoodbar Same here. The crowd was HOWLING!!! Best movie experience ever.
That’s pretty much how any Kevin Smith story goes. Say what you want about him but Kevin Smith is a master story teller
He is the most engaging verbal story teller I’ve ever encountered!
You should watch MallRats then.
Perhaps you owe his films another look if you feel this way about him. Start with Clerks 1&2 .
So you spent 3 hours watching AVENGERS: ENDGAME, and 1hr 13mins watching Kevin Smith talking about AVENGERS: ENDGAME. Where has your life gone?
the 14 million other outcomes Dr. Strange saw was basically the rat not stepping on the buttons...

Because comics.
Why this guy crying when talking about Tony Stark meeting his father....he does know this is a movie
@@rastalife5002 It's because he's a human being with empathy and passion, mate.
Tony had to live to figure out time travel also
Kevin Smith reviews are the best because he is honest and authentic 🙏
And he goes into movies with the right attitude. He's there to have a good time. I always wonder how unhappy the people are who bash movies that I genuinely enjoy.
Yeah the reason I started watching his movies in the mid-1990's was my brother told me the director was a big comics fan and has comics references in all his movies.
Well, he spends an awful lot of time just telling us what happens in the movie. I don't need that. I've seen it. I'm thinking that this could make an awesome reaction movie, showing us his reactions in real time while the movie is playing, but as it is it gets a bit boring.
And sure, actually having the movie on screen would probably be flagged as a copyright violation, but he could make it to be shown as a commentary track while we're watching the movie on disc or online.
,,na kid, lol kevin is so biased and clueless.. too much liberal themes and messages in endgame,, feminist crap is pathetic

Yo, when Lang knocked on that door, the crowd was on edge. The suspense of Lang seeing his baby girl older + the suspense of her knowing her father was alive + the suspense over knowing whether or not she survived the snap was pretty overwhelming. That knock was powerful.
Robert Downey Jr is amazing and I’m going to miss seeing him in the Marvel Universe! He was born to play Tony Stark.
And that my friend is putting it lightly! I effing love RDJ/Tony Stark = one in the same

He's the real life Tony Stark imo. Dude did an amazing job with his role throughout the years.

I love that you watched this while driving. LOL!
I teared up at the ending seeing Steve Rodgers. He finally got his dance with Peggy
They had me with “on your left” as well... loved your “review”
What does on your left mean ?
It started when Sam was jogging and Steeve kept running pass him saying "On your left"
Skylander - which is a callback to the first scene in winter soldier. have you not seen winter soldier?
@@skylander5116 WRONG!!!
Wow. I missed this on the first viewing.
And the cheery on top; Cap, leading them all and finally getting to say the line we've been waiting to hear for so long: "Avengers assemble"
I got chills reliving the memory of this.
Krytos911 I teared up reading this
Yes and film did such fantastic job at making me forget that they brought everyone back and that they can use them. Amazing job to everyone involved
lmao shut up
That scene when cap is standing alone against Thanos army reminded me of this "As long as one man stands against you, Thanos you'll never be able to claim victory." Cap says to Thanos in the comics
This was the scene that broke me. The first time I ever cried for a movie. Not just tear up, truly cry; it was that triumphant.
(Paraphrasing)
"This movie is about supermen and superwomen. The 'super' part is what got us in but the 'men and women' part is what makes us stay."
best qoute I got from this hour long story..Loved it!
Read this literally as he said it lol
Agreed!!!!
that quote is perfect
THAT... is the best quote I have heard applied to anything... in a very long time.
One of my favorite moments I haven't seen mentioned:
Scarlett Witch: "You...you took everything from me."
Thanos: "I don't even know who you are!"
Scarlett Witch: "You will."
Scarlett which is one of my least favorite characters in endgame
But yea I did like her allot better in endgame
@FBI My fav moment, is when they first arrive back in NY, and they come across Hulk throwing a tantrum. Cap tells Bruce, "...and maybe smash a little." Bruce, "I think it's gratuitous, but...rrrr....ahhh" :)
Thanos: "I don't even know who you are." Scarlett: "Oh . . . you will!"
The best line in the movie

That scene with Jarvis was a perfect moment for the fans of Peggy Carter's TV-series, 'cause he was the same actor who performed Javis in the show.
too bad they couldnt put the defenders in this.
I'm really watching Kevin smith break down an entire 3 hour movie ive seen 5 times now
"A movie so big, it had TWO directors!"
It sounded great from you, but I did picture Stan Lee saying that, and it made it sound more epic.
This was a great discussion of Endgame.
The funeral broke me.
Jarvis was a major character in the "Agent Carter" series. One of the rare times that they actually referenced the shows in the films.
Does totally sound like something Stan would’ve said, I hope he at least got to see Endgame
Charles Lee I don’t think they were referencing the show I think they called him Jarvis and showed it because of Iron Mans Suit Voice in Iron Man 1 2 and 3

That scene was amazing 😍
Not to be pedantic, but it's Thor who throws Mjölnir to Cap and says "here, you have the little one."
It's up there for sure. For me it's when cap says "Avengers............Assemble. Brought tears to my eyes
“Yessss I’m still worthy!”
When Mjölnir flew to Cap and then Thor said "I knew it!" I shed a tear of happiness and then lost my shit from the epic ass beating he gave Thanos (at least for then).

Always love your passion man!
When Tony introduces himself and Howard Stark goes to shake his hand, Tony instinctively grabs one finger - the way a little kid would when taking his dad's hand 😭
Jesus dude... as if I needed more feels and symbolism in this masterpiece(
oh ya know what, I only just realized, I guess I was thinking he did that because Tony had this sudden last second fear that if like he physically touched his own father the universe would've collapsed in on itself or something lol...
