They characterized J. Jonah Jameson in a similar way in the 2018 Spider-Man video game on PS4. Daily Bugle was still a newspaper, but Jameson was the former editor who now hosts a conspiratorial anti-Spider-Man radio show. You have little comedic drop-ins throughout the game where he gives his screaming, twisted take on how Spider-Man's heroics are actually nefarious and being constantly frustrated by callers who love Spider-Man.

It's because of mysterio some people automatically assume that he knows everything and him not being from the Multiverse means that it doesn't exist despite Thor dark world, Dr strange, endgame and this movie having some clues to the Multiverse. Not to mention that many people in the mcu already confirmed it to before and after this movie came out so it exists and will be used in future
I actually expected going into this movie, that Mysterio will be lying about multiverse to get what he wants, but I expected that somehow, then a real portal to another dimension appears and some monster from other verse kills him and that will be his end xD

Best review I’ve seen in a while. Chronological and easy to follow, full of detail, and tons of comic book insight. Thank you legend, best wishes to you
There was a lot I loved in the movie, already seen it twice, but my one of my favorite parts was this version of MJ. I wasn't too sure about her in Homecoming, but this is easily my favorite version of that character. This is a girl that a nerdy guy like me would have fell for in High School. And they did a much better job in this movie of reminding you that Spider-Man is actually a really smart kid.
I was totally gutted when Spider-man's identity was revealed (because, you know, poor kid can't catch a break and that changes everything for him). And then I thought about it a bit more, and I realized that they warned me and I should have realized. Mysterio SAID, "I have contingencies for everything..." And he really did. Son of a bitch. :D
Such a great fun video Kevin , you quoted the quotes , told the story well enough too. Was kind of as like as if I can sleepish with my headphones on listening to it all as like you are telling us a Bedtime story. Mad Comfy. (:
In my ego, my hubris, I thought I could watch the first 10 minutes of this review because I have seen the first hour of far from home. I was a fool, I flew too close to the sun, and I was burned accordingly. I was warned, there's no one to blame but myself.
Norway here. It is amazingly goody to see that Kevin is taking it upon himself to keep Tony Stark blazingly alive. By keeping himself alive (I have never seen fat-man so vital and beautiful (to channel Drax for a moment). Great job Kevin -forever may you live! I also agree with him - to "review" super-heroes (in the form of films or comics) makes no objective sense unless one love it. At times I just put on a Kevin review of old to fall asleep to, rather than bothering to rewatch the movie itself. It is like having a brother from a different mother when one needs to rediscover the "wow-wow-wow wow" moments one can sometimes miss.
I was sitting on the toilet 5 minutes ago, thinking if you reviewed it yet. looked it up on RUclips and it wasn't there. Than I get a notification. thank you
Actually the actor who played flash has recently said in an interview that he had the idea for the scene with his driver picking him. I think he said it was just to show that the kid doesn't have a great home life like the rest of the kids and it is meant to give a reason for character acting the bully that he does because he has no love from his parents.
They sure are setting something up with Flash Thompson and his parents. Not only did they not show up to pick him up at the airport but when Peter first uses EDITH you see Flash texting his mom asking where she and his father are because he hasn't heard from them in several days.

*After watching Spider-Man: Far From Home again, I doubt Mysterio is dead.* Mysterio's death was most likely an illusion. MCU has something of a reputation for fake deaths, & in Mysterio's case he's a master of illusion. The script attempts to encourage viewers it's real, with Spider-Man asking EDITH if he's is really dead. EDITH assures him that it's not an illusion. However, Mysterio has a lot of experience with Stark tech as he's been working with Stark Industries drones for years & has a good idea what they're capable of & had time to experiment with EDITH's drones as well. Mysterio will be very familiar with the advanced sensor suite EDITH has access to & it's not unlikely that he figured out how to fool this tech. Even EDITH isn't a reliable witness & it's entirely possible Mysterio faked his death. In the mid-credits scene of Mysterio giving Spider-Man's identity to the public could be the first step of his plan, which would surely see him "resurrected" to the delight of an adoring public. Besides, MCU clearly has a Sinister Six idea in mind as they had Vulture meeting Scorpion at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
MARKY MARC Maybe Disney/Marvel is waiting to see how well received Mysterio will be by the general audience. It would be great to him, and Vulture, again down the line
Just saw it for the 3rd time. Such a great movie and this is what I noticed about the final fight this time! When Beck puts on the Edith glasses and says "come get them", the hallway turns into an illusion. Then Peter is wrecking the drones and illusion gets broken. But now Beck isn't wearing the glasses and then the drone accidentally shoots Beck-without-glasses. Peter confronts Beck-without-glasses who is on the ground, but sees through the illusion and prevent Beck-with-glasses from shooting him. So did Beck even get hit by the drones?
I really enjoy his passion for these movies. It just goes to show how great of a storyteller he his. Thanks Kevin for the “reviews” and movies!! They are all fucking awesome!!! I rewatched Homecoming to refresh before I see Far From Home, while my 11yo daughter was playing in the background. Mind you, she never had any interest in superhero movies. Every once in a while I would hear her laugh at the funny moments... SHE WAS ACTUALLY WATCHING! After the movie, she asked if I had other Spider-Man movies, so I pulled out the Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield ones and binge watched it for the next three days, all along the way, she would ask questions and I would explain which ones stuck with the comic books and which ones took liberties. Then I told her that Far From Home is in theaters and her eyes lit up and couldn't wait to see it. She said she liked the latest installment more because the characters were teenagers. We rewatched Homecoming again before going to #bengiesdrivein to see Far From Home. We had a blast!... and Kevin, I DARE you make a high school movie.

That scene was horrible, Spiderman is not Iron Man!!
Bryan Gutiérrez I don't think they were saying that because before hand they said no one will live up to Tony, I think it was showing why Tony picked Peter and his influence on him. Peter is a genius too, so he could probably work the tech in the jet, and the scene was just an homage to Iron Man and his continued legacy. At least that's how I viewed it.

Does nobody remember Dr. Strange explicitly stating that there is a multiverse?
It's because of mysterio some people automatically assume that he knows everything and him not being from the Multiverse means that it doesn't exist despite Thor dark world, Dr strange, endgame and this movie having some clues to the Multiverse.
Not to mention that many people in the mcu already confirmed it to before and after this movie came out so it exists and will be used in future
I actually expected going into this movie, that Mysterio will be lying about multiverse to get what he wants, but I expected that somehow, then a real portal to another dimension appears and some monster from other verse kills him and that will be his end xD
I know! IT’S LIKE THEY FILTERED EVERY CHARACTER WHO HAS MENTIONED IT OUT! Not to mention, the next Doctor Strange movie is literally called ‘ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. Come on people.
@@samanthagerbrandt7543 Well to be fair it's within House of M comic book serie and created by Scarlet Witch, which could be a closed universe within her power/mind.
So was the original MJ
Descartesdom77 or they could have had a white red head that would have been actually true to the comic instead of this forced diversity attempt

MARKY MARC right and who knows what he could have done with Edith in the time he had it.
Yeah and Peter asked, is this real, not is he really dead. So im going he is alive
I reckon the next MCU Spider-Man movie will be a sinister 6 extravaganza. It's hunting season for spider man now that his enemies know his identity
