    Add a few bay leaves and large chunks of onion in the chicken stalk while its under pressure. Makes it taste way better! When done, add 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon granulated garlic and a touch of rosemary.

    I just purchased an Instant Pot last night. Thank you for taking some time to explain what to do and what to look for when using!

    This is a great expiation of beans in the IP. Basic, not confusing, step by step. I love how you actually take a few out at the end and show us the 'smash' test. I've watched several bean videos and that isn't shown. So yay you! I'm going to subscribe now. I've already liked. ✔

      I bet the first time someone bites down on a little bean shaped rock and breaks a tooth, they'll clean their beans from then on.🤣 🤷‍♂️

    Thanks for the video! I just got laid off and I still want to make great foods instead of eating ramen lol. I'd need to pay way more for a can of beans than to do this! So I'll save money and still eat good. I think I'll incorporate this into the vids that I'm making of complex recipes

      💕 Hi again. I wish I'd asked you before what size Instant Pot you're using here ? I have learned enough in the past week to understand that the size pot we have does make a difference in the cooking time, because different sizes take different amounts of time to come to pressure. Thank you again ! I enjoyed watching your video again ! 😊👋🏼
      PS Thanks for answering so quickly last time ! 👋🏼

    I need to up the cook time to 50-55 minutes. I tried the 40 minute cook time twice and both times it produced "crunchy" beans.

    Why would there be rocks? It's not a root vegetable!

    • @PrepWhisperer
      @PrepWhisperer  3 года назад

      Found this explanation online ... hope it helps !
      The rocks are left over from the soil where the beans grow. Some get picked up in the harvesting process, and those with size and density similar to a bean are difficult to sort out automatically so some are accidentally left in.

    • @bryanadams256

      @@PrepWhisperer Automated harvesting. O.k. Maybe they should go back to hiring Mexicans to pick them. It would be a lot cheaper!

    I really wanted to watch this through yo the end, but you didn't wash the beans. Straight from the bag to the pot. Beans are dirty😏

    • @PrepWhisperer
      @PrepWhisperer  3 года назад +1

      Trust me. I washed the beans. I always do just don’t always show that part ....

    • @PrepWhisperer
      @PrepWhisperer  3 года назад

      Here’s the thing that I was shocked about. Lots of people commented that they didn’t know that you should check the beans for rocks prior to making them. I get that comment with almost every video I post with beans !!

    • @PrepWhisperer
      @PrepWhisperer  3 года назад +3

      I just rewatched this and at 2 minutes and 20 seconds I mentioned that I was gonna rinse them and come back. Sorry that you missed that comment. Hope that helps and that you enjoy the rest of the video ..::
