As a Os fan since birth, after the 2016 playoffs having to go through the major rebuilds from 18-21, to see them where they’re at now and are going makes me so happy and excited.
Played with Joey Ortiz's brother in highschool and saw joey play when I was a freshman. He was always taking tons of groundballs for hours after practice. That man has some insane defense! He reminds me a lot like Ha Seong Kim
Out of all of this, I'm just glad more people are gonna have more eyes on the O's so they can learn the name of the most underrated pitcher in the league. John Means
I've been a diehard O’s fan all my life. Through all the years of pain and suffering I've still followed this team. And finally we are actually good, and this is long well deserved.
Marc haven’t watched your videos in about a year but still subbed. Hope you have continued success on your channel and I will try to tune in more this season!
As an Os fan I hope Milwaukee enjoys Hall and Ortiz bc they’ll be good guys to help rebuild a team. And an O’s fan I’m going to enjoy the first ace they’ve had since the Mike Mussina days. Win-win for both
I think this was the perfect deal for both teams. I wouldn’t say Milwaukees rebuilding tho. Baltimore getting an ace huge for them, Milwaukee getting some extra depth.
As a Brewers fan I'll be happier next year knowing we wouldn't have Burnes and we have something for him. Just hope this year doesn't suck. If the Cubs win the division it's going to suck.
The starting pitching is gonna suck now no doubt but I expect our hitting to improve with the additions of Hoskins and Chourio. And the bullpen is still elite too.
I love this trade. I low key was hoping the Padres would make a move for Burnes, but I love the idea of Burnes on the Orioles. Very exciting move. Happy for Baltimore for the new ownership, happy for them for the Burnes trade.
A little disappointed as an Os fan that we gave up Hall, he was really starting to figure it out late last season and was becoming lights out, stoked we got Corbin Burnes though and i think immediate impact on this year Burnes is definitely going to make a world of difference, hopefully we can still add another bullpen or 5th starter for the roation
@nuttybuddy7928 that's true, just liked watching Hall develop is all, flame throwing lefties don't come around everyday but still excited to see Burnes in an Os jersey
The Brewers are getting a good infielding player in Joey Ortiz....DL Hall is absolutely sick when he's on.... I'm high on both of them!....... As far as the draft pick, let's see how their scouting is.......
My how times have changed. The Orioles had at least one 20 game winner from 1968 thru until 1980. At least one. I know winning 20 games isn't a big deal anymore, with guys winning a CYA with 11 or 13 wins, and hardly anyone pitches 200 innings anymore, but the Orioles have a long history of producing quality pitching. Times have been tough recently, but Burnes is a guy they can mould further. Hope he stays in Camden.....
As an Orioles fan I'm ecstatic (or whatever's above ecstatic), though I'll miss Hall & Ortiz, (who I hope will do well for the Brewers). It's going to be exciting to folow Burnes as hr goes after his second Cy Young Award, only this time wearing the orange & black! True, an extension is all but impossible with Boros as his agent, yet with the O's new ownership group, the club ought to be able to finally be competitive in going after him when the season ends. And if they're willing to go toe to toe with the spenders, the Orioles could end up with some intangibles that give them a more than decent chance to prevail in any bidding war. Winning the 2024 World Series would give them a leg up. Pitching to Rutschman (and to a lesser extent, McCann) will give Burnes a comfort zone few pitchers on other teams enjoy. It turns out that Bradish & Rodriguez are big Burnes fanboys, and it's been noted how Kyle seems to style his pitching after Corbin. The O's clubhouse chemistry is super, so Burnes could blend right in. These and other factors could be contributing factors could make it very attractive for him to want to return to Baltimore, all else being more or less equal. *Trade Trivia* Moving to Camden Yards means Burnes will be exchanging Bernie Brewer for Mr. Splash!
I know we kinda fleeced the Brewers but I really wanted to keep Hall (I would have given up Cano instead personally). His playoff performance will not be forgotten and I cant wait to see him progress in the majors. Either way to add on a proper veteran presence for the starters that has playoff experience (I see Grayson getting a lot out of this and possibly Means as well).
Cano’s synergy with Bautista is undeniable. I’d want to hold on to that as long as we can, but I can see the argument. Hall was one of the few bright moments in the post season.
@@kadorigami overall also we have more control over Hall's future and I think he has the ability to not just throw harder but take on more innings as a long man in the bullpen compared to Cano. I'm just scared Cano is running out of that magic we saw but I am staying optimistic and it's easy when stuff like this happens.
you mentioned Joey Ortiz had a solid glove. He is way above solid glove and he’ll be a consistent hitter in the big leagues as well. DL Hall has nasty stuff and if he can keep healthy, watch out. good trade for both teams.
Joey Ortiz can play and DL hall is a stud out of the pen. Although I am loving this trade as an Os fan, but it's not like the Brewers got nothing we were just to packed with talent in the infield that's why Ortiz didn't play much.
Wow all that young talent and now to get an ace like C . Burnes on the mound! Exited to watch them in 2024 . Cannot wait for Holliday to reach bigs hopefully soon! I predict another 100 game winning season for the O ‘s ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️
Could the Brewers have gotten more? Probably. But this isn't the fleece some are calling it. Though I have to assume this trade means Adames is the next to go...
Sucks to see this as a brewers fan, was hoping we would go for it for once after signing Hoskins. Feels like we wasted the greatest pitching we’ve ever had by not making a big move for a bat. It’ll be a long time before we ever have that quality of controlled starting pitching again
as an orioles fan, I get Burnes is a great pitcher, but you're getting yourself a pitcher in DL Hall. If he can improve his command, he is going to be one of the more flat out nasty pitchers in baseball
I actually do think the O's overpaid for a rental Corbin Burnes. There is no way he is signing an extension like Marc said, maybe there is a chance with the new owners now that they will spend in free agency to bring him back? Still makes me happy to see teams like the O's that have a young team willing to trade away prospects to try and win now. At the same time, I think the Brewers got pretty good returns.
Shows how invested the new ownership is for the O’s, they said they were looking to add a frontline starter and did it in like a day. So good for baseball that one of the best teams now has an ownership group that is going to buy into this team and the young core they have.
Don’t get too far ahead of yourself. I’m also an Os fan and this has me hyped but we still haven’t shown we will pay people. It’s a one year deal and that essentially means nothing. I have to be shown before I trust and the way they show is a extension to one of our young guys or to Burnes
@@jonjon6459Keep in mind the sell isn't official yet; will be next week once all the owners vote on it (which that should be damn near unanimous minus maybe the other -John- oops).

Everyone always undervalues Ortiz, probably because of the prospects around him. Great defender who will regularly bat .300. For all the great prospects in Norfolk, they needed Ortiz to return in order to win the International League. He’s that ‘shot in the arm’ kinda guy.
@@daddynanners3944oh man I don’t kno, they’re in pretty good shape. Their farm is just about in the same situation Baltimore was in last year. To be able to give up a guy like Burns, but not have it affect them much was a big W. Their pitching development is impressive, now they just gotta hope the hitting comes around.
He's average at best as far as hitters go. The Brewers don't need a gold glove SS, their defense is fine without one, they need bats because they've been at the bottom half of the league in batting over the last 6 years.
After the Hoskins signing I though perhaps he were interested in competing however, now its waiting to see what we are going to get for Willy Adames, Devin Williams, Rhys Hoskins, Garrett Mitchell or Joey Weimer and or perhaps Christian Yelich.

He is a big winner in this trade. He was just stuck in Norfolk even though he was good enough to be in the big league for most teams.
He is a good player, and the Orioles knew it, but he wasn't going to beat out Gunner Henderson or Jackson Holliday at shortstop or second base.
Joey just needs to put it together at the plate and he’s a solid everyday player. Just the odd man out in Baltimore.
