    NL Central Predictions:
    5. Cardinals: Arenado and Goldschmidt will continue to be old, starting and relief pitching is bad, manager sucks too
    4. Brewers: Will sell at the deadline
    3. Pirates: Bullpen is best in the division, Hayes, Cruz, Davis, Suwinski will all prove to be spectacular bats, pitching will be extremely shaky to start but get better as the season progresses.
    2. Reds: young players will be good but they narrowly get beat out by Cubs.
    1. Cubs: They win the division but loose in the first round of the playoffs, and with no wild card teams the NL central will be proven to be the worst division in the NL.

    Corbin Burnes is well positioned to win his second Cy Young Award. In fqct, it's a perfect storm for him: Traded to a World Series contender, he has one of the best assortment of pitches, will be working with the best catching tandem in baseball (Rutschman & McCann), and, oh yes, it's his walk year.

      Most knowledgeable observers rate Adley as the best catcher currently in all MLB, so James merely has to be is average, and he's probably a cut above that. If you have a different duo who you think is better, I'd like to know who that would be. @chenyoung3713 Are you disagreeing with me? Yankee fan here...and adding Soto doesnt make them a really good team. They have a lineup with 2 superstars and holes and concerns all up and down. DJ isnt the leadoff man/mvp candidate he was a few years back. Stanton is Stanton. Rizzo is fragile and possibly on the decline. Is Volpe gonna be better? Verdugo is an above average player but thats it. And the pen lost Wandy Peralta who was great last year and Michael King who was their best RP before he became a starter

    Still don’t know why everyone is so down on the Brewers. Yeah they got “worse” by trading Burnes, but he has regressed every year and was just fine in 2023. The lineup got better, adding Hoskins and Chourio. Plus they got really solid pieces in the Burnes trade, as DL Hall has one of the best fastballs in baseball, and they have probably the best bullpen in baseball. I don’t see why they aren’t the favorites to win the Central yet again. Plus the Cubs didn’t really get any better and only won 83 games last year. I don’t think Bellinger will be as good as he was last year and the numbers suggest he’ll decline big time, and the starting rotation is just meh. The Reds are the team that scare me the most as a Brewers fan.

    • @keijif1267
      @keijif1267 7 месяцев назад +1

      I may be a bit biased as a cubs fan but the cubs don't really have any holes either. Obviously Taillon wasn't good last year, but he did way better to finish off the year. Also bringing Bellinger back is huge, not only for his numbers but also as a leader on the team. We also added Shota Imanaga, who does have a home run problem but is very nasty. We got Hector Neris to go with Adbert Alzolay as two very good bullpen arms (though still not as good as the Brewers, I will admit). Christopher Morel is a great hitter and has improved his defense at third. The only real issue in my opinion is center field or first base (whichever one Cody Bellinger doesn't play) because we have prospects there, but I think the rest of the lineup will make up for it. Also, if I remember correctly, Brandon Woodruff is out for a while if not the whole year, so Freddy Peralta will be the ace, with not that many good pitchers behind him. Also D.L Hall is just mediocre and Joey Ortiz isn't ready for the majors yet, so I think that it is justified to have them behind the Cubs, though I do think they are better than Trevor May gave them credit for

    • @brandondillman5841
      @brandondillman5841 7 месяцев назад

      DL Hall has a live arm, but I wouldn't say one of the best fastballs in baseball. He sits around 95 mph, but it has good late life. The O's did tweak his mechanics and he has more extension now, which is great. Just not sure he can stick in the rotation. Joey Ortiz was a good pickup too. He was never going to get playing time with the O's, but he has an elite glove at SS and he hits the ball hard consistently. His only down side is the lack of HR power due to his low launch angles.

    As much as I'd love to see the O's win it all, I just don't see it happening unless Bradish can pitch through this injury like Tanaka did for the Yankees back in the day. Not having Bautista hurts too. They have a ton of talent on the way and an insanely wealthy ownership group, so the 2025-2030 years should be amazing for the O's. I just can't see any team beating the Astros in a 7 game series in the AL. They're all in for this year. I'd love to be wrong though.

Their offense was abysmal last year without judge, and besides gleyber their pitching was the only thing keeping them over .500. Their rotation might be one of the best in baseball but I feel like adding Soto doesn't fix the holes in their lineup. If Correa and Buxton can stay healthy and have an average year for them they could easily win the division and even have a deep playoff run. Only problem is they probably won’t do that.

    • @cheetofingersbum
      @cheetofingersbum 7 месяцев назад

      They just need them to stay healthy. With most of the team healthy the Twins will win the division handedly, probably by 10 games

    • @harrisonbaylor1432
      @harrisonbaylor1432 7 месяцев назад

      @@cheetofingersbum I agree it’s just them staying healthy is unlikely based off previous years.
      Some weird things I’ve learned this off-season. Correa was the only qualified hitter for the Twins last year. So nearly the entire team missed a lot of games last year.
      And Buxton has played for 9 years and when he is on the field he looks like he could compete with the best of them even top stars like Trout and Acuna or anyone for that matter. But in 9 years he only has 540 hits. He just can’t stay on the field.

    • @cheetofingersbum
      @cheetofingersbum 7 месяцев назад

      @harrisonbaylor1432 that's true they are all injury prone. They have a lot of depth though

    • @harrisonbaylor1432

      @@cheetofingersbum yeah true, that’s how they won the division last year with only Correa playing the entire year.
