Being both an Orioles fan and optimistic about the future is such a foreign feeling. Feels amazing to see all the Os fans start coming out of the woodwork again. Although I'll miss the $4 tickets, seeing Camden Yards full is more than worth it.
It’s such a great time for all of us Orioles fans. It’s been absolutely amazing watching how much this team has turned around. I cannot wait for this season and hopefully they can win the World Series!
I'm considering them for the WS this year, just not sure if missing Bautista may be the reason they don't get there. I could see them making a big trade at the deadline for another back end bullpen arm though
Don’t you guys mess it up!! That means, don’t sign massive contracts that go beyond age 33 and don’t be afraid to let stars walk! As a diehard stros fan (I’m sorry-I know we are dbags), it is so SO fun watching your team to rebuild from 100 loss seasons to becoming a juggernaut. I hope you guys do it and I hope you cherish every second of it! Rooting for y’all and the Reds to carry the rebuild torch!
This is going to be an exciting team to watch for the next several years. We have a pipeline of talent in the minors, and we finally got a true #1 pitcher and a new ownership group that will hopefully spend some big money in the coming years. So excited to see what comes in the next several seasons. Great time to be a fan of the Orange and black😊
6:07 I was at this game. I remember how load the remaining crowd was, as Hays had a long at bat fighting against a rain delay. About 2 seconds after Haysie tied it up, the delay happened, and then about an hour later, Rougie hit that little sneaker to under Choi's glove
Watched every game of 2020-2023 it’s so nice to watch the unsung heroes …. Hanser Alberto , Robinson chirinos to mention but this is something else orioles fans are gonna be spoiled over the next 10 years and I can’t wait
I've been an Oriole fan since 1970. 1971, 1979 and 1983 trips to the World Series the last being another WS win. Not bad to see 4 WS appearances in 13 years. Fast forward to 2001 I watched Cal Ripken circle the stadium to say goodbye. The bad years were hard to watch. I'd peek in at a box score or look at the standing and wince. In 2021 I started hearing the buzz about young players coming up. I felt there was a whole new level of energy and I liked these kids. In 2022 I was feeling these guys may be ready sooner than people think. In 2023 I signed up for MLB TV because I really felt I was going to get a treat. Aside from the 101 wins we had the Mr. Splash section and all the antics in the dugout with sprinklers and homer hoses. I felt younger again. Now they are back at the big boys table in the WS chatter. Go Birds.
It was a lot of years being the doormat of the division. Now it’s time to see all the team building pay off :) can’t wait to go to Camden Yards this year to watch the Orioles!
It’s like a resurrection. Their 2022 season was a sign that they were gonna be a great team again. Home run productions, I wanted to tell you before I’m a huge MLB fan and that’s why I’m always willing to make comments on your amazing channel
They got walked off on my 12th birthday in the 2016 wild card game, then they sucked from that day on, until 2022. They’ll always be my favorite team no matter what!
True. I think he is probably the most overlooked reliever in that bullpen just because he had a dead arm come September. If he manages not to have that again, then good for us
Mike Elias, GM of the current regime, deservedly receives a great deal of credit for the Orioles' success of the last couple of years. Most of all he deserves credit for building up their farm system to be the best in baseball. However, his predecessor, Dan Duquette, drafted or acquired and partially developed a number of major contributors to the Orioles such as Austin Hays, Ryan Mountcastle, Cedric Mullens, Anthony Santander, and Felix Bautista
I grew up a Sox fan but I think I've been converted to an Orioles fan since Adley came up, he's been my favorite player since he made his debut. It'd be a real shame if the Orioles don't extend him to be a lifelong Oriole. He has the stuff to be an Oriole legend that the team hasn't seen since Cal Ripken jr
Let's see if their new ownership is willing to spend the money. It's not easy because you have to be smart about how you spend but if you're not spending at all, that's a slap in the face to the fans who pay their hard earned money to see your team play. You're getting that money back with fans coming to your games.
You didn't even mention that in 2023 they were one of the most consistent teams ever, avoiding being swept the entire year! (Until the playoffs, unfortunately) Regardless, I'm so happy to finally see my O's thriving and set up for a long run of success!
I think Grayson Rodriguez should've been included when talking about last year. HIs numbers for the whole season may not be that impressive but we have to look at the bigger picture here. He has a horrible first half but had a huge turnaround in the 2nd half of the season.
Rodriguez's 2023 season should have been parsed into 2 parts (he was way better after being sent down, then coming back) and terms have been agreed to sell the team at least a week before this video was posted
GRod came back to the MLB with a much much better ERA, you kinda have to provide some split stats for how well he played in the second half compared to the first half of the season
The biggest move of all was getting new ownership. They just went from an owner who couldn't care less about the team, the fans or the city with shallow pockets to an insanely wealthy group of people who love Baltimore. The Angelos family is worth about $2 billion while the new ownership group is worth over $100 billion. Safe to say money won't be an issue anymore. Should be fun to watch this team grow knowing they have the money to keep all of them together long term.
envy of baseball? hahaha how so? how many years in ineptitude have they been? so of course they will have a great farm systems after all the years of drafting at the top. now let's see what they are going to do with these prospects. until they win something, no one is envious of them
Well what they've done with their picks has already shown itself - they were the best team in the American League last year and are on track to only get better. Just about every team in baseball would trade places with them going forward if they could. That's what makes them the envy of baseball.
@@homerunproductions162 Aren't they suppose to be good eventually? All those high draft picks are bound to stick. The orioles are eventually suppose to be good. There is nothing envious about what you are expected to be eventually.
@@timw8646ESPN predicted they to come in last in their division, and not only did that not happen but also they were the number-one seed in the American League.
There aren't many teams that have been able to turn the ship around that fast without going out and buying a bunch of free agents. They've hit it big on their high draft picks (which isn't always a guarantee) and deeper in the draft also. I expect them to have an Astros-style/Braves-style run in the next 5-10 years. People get so hung up on what happens in a 5 game series which is such a crapshoot, I put more value on teams that are able to put themselves in a position to win a World Series every year.
@@TalkingSports-k7c good for the orioles. it was fun watching them win last year but like i said, nothing to be envious about until they start winning world series. meanwhile, enjoy the ride oriole fan.
