Actually, I'm inclined to petition Valve to rewrite the original with Antony's ending at 15:03. Mr. Spooky Shadow being an interdimensional time travelling alternate of Abraham Lincoln matches my lofty expectations perfectly! If Valve didn't want to give us episode 3, they could have at least given us the MEGA HAPPY ENDING, instead of the Scooby-Doo ending.
15:03 is the ending Gotham deserves, but not the one it got. So we should petition Valve, because they can afford it. Because Valve is not our hero. Valve is our silent store front.

@@AntonyCannon I would settle for just some clever marketing and word play. They created Half-Life: Alyx for VR, while missing the bloody obvious. They should have just made Half-Life 3 be in VR, for every VR system. The 3 could stand for, I don't know...3D. Everyone who loves Half-Life would have bought a VR system to finish the story, and Valve could have helped push the industry further into VR. People have been dreaming about gaming in a VR environment since when? The 80s? But there hasn't been a must have title to push the consumer into that space yet. Software sells systems, not system specs.
@@MostlyHarmless7777 Making it VR-only would exclude a LOT of gamers from being able to play, especially casual folk. Great for a prequel or side story to the game like Alyx, but I'd be pissed off if the game I waited 10+ years for was locked behind VR.
Not all of us can afford the console (considering it's games are also expensive and limited) and sadly, some of us can't even play VR without getting sick :(
@@NicoUnken Oh, I am right there with you. I don't own a VR and probably never will. I am one of those people who get sick from playing it. BUT, that doesn't change the fact valve is/was involved with the development of VR. They made Half-Life: Alyx and it has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" on Steam and a 93 rating on metacritic. So, Valve still knows how to make games. But it's a side story, rather than being the sequel everyone has been demanding with the whole "Valve can't count to 3" meme. People want Half-Life 3, but Valve makes so much money off of Steam, why bother making games anymore? They are now primarily a store front rather than a game developer.
However, if they had made Half-Life 3 rather than Alyx, they would would have given the fans what they have been demanding for since 2004, an ending! Furthermore, by making it VR it would have pushed the gaming industry more into VR than Alyx did. More people would have purchased a VR headset for 3 than they did for Alyx. VR needs exclusive, must have titles for it. Otherwise, it's just a gimmick.
But, I also think the Antony C ending for Half-Life 2 would have been hysterical. I was roflmao over the Mr. Spooky Shadow bit :) I am of the humble opinion that Valve either needs to either tack on a new ending for Half-Life 2, a mega happy ending, or just give us Half-Life 3 already so we can "finish the fight".
I didn't watch because of Half-Life Antony, I'm pretty certain we watched because it's you.

Newgrounds is a relatively small site which has been sued for copyright violations before.
As this song contains some music composed by Alan Menken for the Disney corporation, it seems prudent not to poke the beast.
@@AntonyCannon It's sad that Newgrounds is so strict about copyrighted songs. But I can understand them, why they need another lawsuit.
I think what works against your channel is that regardless of the fun factor, this most recent video is a month old, the one before that is 6 months old the last time ponies were in a thumb nail was 4 years ago. I can't hold it against you I too have stopped doing videos Life changes. but in all fairness, to get a subscription and hold it, to get recommended to others, to win an award, people need to be active.

I remember the G-man being my favorite mystery from this game as a kid. It was just cool and new for me, to this day I still enjoy his speeches.

A Half Life 3 has always been an interesting idea to me, because I've interpreted Half Life as a 'pioneer' series. Their first then second games helped reshape and popularize shooters to a respectable degree for gaming development, and though I can see the Episodic sequels as better versions of Half Life 2, I imagine they are "episodes", IE, extensions of what Half Life 2 already did. Half life 1 was mindblowing back in it's day, and so was Half life 2- imagine having to fit that standard NOW?...
I feel like Valve wanted it's Half Life series to be a pioneer with each new sequel, just like 2 and 1 were. But nowadays, how does a game 'pioneer' anything anymore? (this can apply to technology as a whole too- we've reached a point where every cell phone is pretty good, whoever wants to try making a new, mind-blowing device is gonna have a very hard time) I feel that we've reached a pinnacle for gaming to a certain extent- when it comes to physics, graphics, storytelling, we have seen billions of iterations to this format that anything Valve do would never be all that "new".
Don't get me wrong; there is always a new feat to achieve, a new mind-blowing game is entirely possible. But compared to all of the mega games we have now- Half Life 3 could need to be UNREASONABLY gigantic. Not only do you need the developers and goals to be genuinely inspired, but Valve might need to dump all of their budget into this once again... and how can any person ever take on a project like that?
Well, they did try again with HL: Alyx - and I'd argue they succeeded. Sure, VR doesn't have the same mass adoption as PC gaming as a whole, but up until Alyx, it was largely viewed as either a pointless gimmick or something too tedious and impractical to engage with for something in the same genre as Half-Life.
And then Valve simply went and changed that. So, for now, the pattern still stands!
It be a billion dollar game for sure!
Half Life squared is better, because HL2 is exponentially better then HL1.
