The Dominator 3 is a Ford350with a lot of added armor and weighs in around 10,000 pounds. Reed Timmer spent around $750,000 in modifications. It’s a real beast built to withstand 200 mph winds.
I have a 2nd gen RAM and a TRX. I appreciated the homage to to the trucks and product placement! Thought it was a good movie, like the original. His character was for RUclips. He tried to have non cocky conversations throughout the movie.
We get all the good Stellantis cars, like the unshittifying of Opel with Peugeot underpinnings, well also Peugeot and Citroen being pretty awesome right now, and you poor Americans get all the Fiat crap nobody wants here
We had 112 Drive-In here in Northwest Arkansas until a few years ago. Supposedly there is going to be an Alamo Drafthouse and Drive-In built...but I will miss the old Drive-In.
Tyler, do the right thing and put in a tornado shelter. If you don't ever need it, no big deal. If you do, VERY BIG DEAL! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
I went to the drive-in with a large group to watch Twisters and had to be the sound with my 2008 Pathfinder. Most vehicles there wouldn’t cooperate. Barely started at the end but it is a 4 year old battery.
As someone who loved the original and watched it so many times growing up… I really enjoyed the new one and actually think it’s better than the original in some ways. That said, I think the vehicles in the original were so much cooler. The 96 Ram looked so damn cool. And then there’s the Jeep pickup, the dually Suburban, the fleet of black Caravans, the old Chevy van with the tornado mural, the LTD wagon. The TRX is cool, but there’s no comparison when it comes to vehicles
I enjoyed Twisters 🌪️ but agree on the glass and the featured vehicles not being available anymore. Having watched it in a UK cinema I wished I could have watched it in a US drive in!! Love the shoutout to Reid Timmer!!
I went to go see Twisters last Saturday and even though the special effects were fantastic, the characters and story were just so plain. It simply was a watered down modern iteration of the original. The clunky dialogue and the whole "invincible character that saves the day" story arc made it forgettable. The original at least had better charisma and chemistry between the characters which made it very entertaining. They all bounced off each other very well. Not to mention the special effects, at the time, were very good and still hold up for the most part almost thirty years later. P.S., the main difference between the first one and the sequel is how many quotable lines there were in the original. The whole movie you can quote it seems. This one, however, I don't remember anything other than the recycled lines like, "I'm not back."
I left it a bit more postive. I found the characters pretty compelling and the banter funny. I grew up on the original and expected the new one to be bad. I was pretty suprised. I agree on the invincible character idea but it's nothing much more ridiculous than the first movie. I did question a few things of course. Like if a truck bolted down could survive a tornado. But that Ram in the first movie did some crazy nonsense as well to be fair.
While I love April Rose...its not the most pleasant voice to listen to...she has a "gravel" quality. She could get rid of it if she consulted with a speech therapist.
When I saw the first Twister I said the same thing. Back in the 90s Dodge use to sponsor all kinds of shows and movies and being a Ford guy it annoyed me. In twister all the vans were Caravans and shows like Nash Bridges and Viper had all rental fleet Dodges for every character.
After Twister came out my brother and I would shout out “Twister truck!” whenever we saw a red Dodge Ram 2500. I don’t get the same affinity for the trucks in Twisters.
I purchased a new 1996 2500 4X4 V10 Black and Silver long bed. I got a great deal because nobody wanted it for some reason. Back when trucks were affordable.
Plenty of Durangos and TRXs and old used Duallys for sale. But thanks for the clickbait. Old one was also sponsored by Chrysler. That's how a lot of movies work.
Is it just me, I’d love to see the images you share from your screen stay up - maybe in the corner? - while you’re talking about them. Is there a rights / usage problem meaning you can’t show for more than a second or two?
I went to KU in the early 2000's and when a tornado was nearby everybody stood outside to look at it. A twister even hit my apartment complex. And got caught in a tornado parked on side of the road under a bridge and I could feel the wind lift the car. Tornados freak me out.
Memories of a '62 VW and the drive in..when the battery would sometimes not crank over after a double feature you just gave it a nudge over the pavement hump and bump started it...easy peasy
Aprils look that she gave hoovie proves they where getting there freak on at the drive-in theater. Anyone else remember that old analogy about being a fly on the wall? GOTDAYUMMMMMM 🤪 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
The sad part is that you do not need to be in the 1% to afford a new truck....dealers are all too happy to leverage people to the ultimate hilt in order to complete the sale....the poor sucker who buys it is paying for 10+ years.
I enjoyed the movie for what it was. The Tyler character did say in the movie that the 3500 was armored and rated for an EF1. The thing that bothered me was that the TRX seemed to have a hard time pull away from the diesel. That seemed unlikely to me. Also, bugged me that they never really brought the story back to the original, even though they had Dorthy in the first part of the film
I remember in the 80’s my part]ents would take us to the drive in theater all the time and occasionally they would do triple screenings. I never saw anyone with a dead battery back then lol. But we also had speakers that were placed in the windows to begin with and then they transitioned to broadcast over the radio and I still never noticed a problem until the cars started becoming heavily dependent on computers. Now you see dead cars all the time.
From the beginning I could tell the youtuber wasnt a bad guy based off the fact that he did nothing bad. So I thought what if they team up together to accomplish their mission but i was wrong. She just swapped sides
So my wife and I bought a loaded Ram 1500 4x4 regular cab in 1995. There were a line of people waiting to buy it. That new body style was still new. I think our truck had a 24k sticker price. Your low on your figures. By the way, we sold with 111k on it and it never went back to shop once. It was a great vehicle. I paid 11k for my first new car. A 4cyl Toyota 4x4, with some options
I agree his prices way off those are 1986 prices. In 96' trucks were 25k and 30 for a fully loaded 1500. 2500/3500 those trucks been 40+ grand for decades
the code name wizard was cos the wizard of OZ lol so on the windows look at thr truck there was meant to be metal covers see the mounts but iam guessing cos you couldnt see the actors they got rid of this
I kinda wanted to see Twisters when it was first announced but my first thought was "oh good...they are gonna fuck up yet ANOTHER childhood favorite?" seems I was right. it's basically just a rehash with new window dressing...all bad
I like Dodge Trucks.... Great Trucks.. Great to Buy after 10yrs, they have no Worth, according to KBB... Great Cost of Ownership at that Point... For People Who 'Own Trucks', not for those Selling them..
I'm just so disappointed that "Twisters" is a sequel or reboot of the 1996 film "Twister" staring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton instead of the 1989 film "Twister" staring Crispin Glover and Harry Dean Stanton that was filmed in Wichita.
Well, one thing I do like about my Bronco is the radio can be turned on without activating all the lights. The red Dodge in Twisters is pretty much at every apartment complex in OK/AR...with a puddle of diesel underneath because Rollin' Coal>Long Engine Life.
I can't believe you didn't get credit for the Tyler the RUclipsr part in the movie. You could have used some residuals from the proceeds. Ask Keith Olbermann about writers writing him into a show that actually happened and got not one honorable mention from it. The first Twister movie was a big Dodge commercial also but more relevant for the time. When they asked Sammy Hagar to write the song for twister they asked him to write something exciting but not storm related. Human's Being was the result.
That's ok. I live in Wichita so I will watch it live. Yes, I was little and saw the 1991 f5 in Andover. Never wanted to see another again.
😂🤣👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 I see wat ya did here 🤣😂🤣🤣
Grew up 19 years in McPherson with my dad living in Cimarron. Definitely saw a lot of action.
I seen "Twisters" at a Drive in Movies theater. I own a Red 2nd Gen "Dodge" Ram. The actual real one still 😂
HAAHAA She wants him to build a tornado shelter now.
@@BCNeil Bet there is one already
He just hides in them tittays
Probably not a bad idea considering where they live
Andover is a tornado magnet but it's usually the south side
Uh……good idea…….earth quakes CAN HAPPEN……..tornados WILL HAPPEN……🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️
Recently, a storm chaser I follow here on RUclips saw a replica of that red truck up in Minnesota, complete with "Dorothy" in the back

I still want Helen Hunt’s Jeep from the original. That truck was awesome.
Then they destroyed another one in the new movie
Watched the first one the other day and noticed the red Ram and Caravans immediately 😂
And the GM products getting destroyed (Flying Suburban)
Sound guys forgot the supercharger whine from TRX.
Stellantis is going to kill Dodge with all their Italian shitboxes being sold as Jeeps & Dodges.
We get all the good Stellantis cars, like the unshittifying of Opel with Peugeot underpinnings, well also Peugeot and Citroen being pretty awesome right now, and you poor Americans get all the Fiat crap nobody wants here
Not looking forward to that EV they announced at all. Silly fake sounds and all.
@@logicthought24
Same was said about Mitsubishi and Dodge in the early 80’s
Everything stellantis makes is garbage....
I miss drive ins. They are all gone around me
I thought they were gone entirely now I have to take a massive road trip to get a taste of that nostalgia.
We had 112 Drive-In here in Northwest Arkansas until a few years ago. Supposedly there is going to be an Alamo Drafthouse and Drive-In built...but I will miss the old Drive-In.

the pickups suit the people alos his truck was ment to have metal windows

Just another reboot/remake cashing on nostalgia and Hollywood’s lack of creativity
Yeah I maybe should have watched the movie trailer before we went so I would have known to drive the TRX!
Good Morning! Love the daily show. Thank you!
Even April’s voice is beautiful
While I love April Rose...its not the most pleasant voice to listen to...she has a "gravel" quality. She could get rid of it if she consulted with a speech therapist.
Thanks for sharing guys !
Here's a good fundraising idea, Tyler taking kitten mirror selfie photos for a calendar🤣
Thought you would want the original barn stormer . The J10 was the coolest original.
Love how the Ram engine is called Hurricane for a Twister movie
To be fair hurricanes can spawn twisters 😂
The RHO isn't in the movie
@@TakuroSpirit77 I know, I meant the one Tyler mentioned later in the video
I saw twisters last night 😂 and it was definitely sponsored by Ram😂
My favorite RUclips channel and couple!
I need to point out that there hasn't Been a Dodge Ram since 2009. Those trucks in the new movie were RAM's, not Dodge RAMS.
I wanted the jeep j10 from the original movie
I can't unsee that.
Noticed the Ram's are the preferred Vehicle in the cowboy tv soap opera "Yellowstone".
If you set the parking brake the daytime lights go out
Cleetus is doing a giveaway for a Ram TRX custom built with a helephant
Cletus Haggard?
And you have a better chance of winning the lottery.
A 2-hour long video of Nelix and her kittens would be better than the Twisters movie.

It's so crazy they made this movie about the life of Hoovie. 💯
Was able to watch it in the oldest theater in Georgia. It opened in 1932.
Is it just me, I’d love to see the images you share from your screen stay up - maybe in the corner? - while you’re talking about them. Is there a rights / usage problem meaning you can’t show for more than a second or two?
i know where the original dodge 2500 v10 screen truck is from the original twister movie. Once knew where the yellow jeep truck was too.
They did have Ram Van’s in the movie which are available for purchase 🤔
And that base model will need an engine rebuild in ten years. My mechanic says you can’t trust a dodge unless it’s diesel.
I went to KU in the early 2000's and when a tornado was nearby everybody stood outside to look at it. A twister even hit my apartment complex. And got caught in a tornado parked on side of the road under a bridge and I could feel the wind lift the car. Tornados freak me out.
Think things are bad now, just wait 5 more years.

17k that's a little low. Try 27k
I want the black GMC motorhome!!!
Run the car with the parking brake on if you need to turn car on. Lights will not go on.

Build a twister truck a sell it to hoovie..?!
Wait, who played Hoovie in the film?
One of the characters in the movie was a storm RUclipsr who happened to be called Tyler.
Forrest Gump.
It would be interesting to see you two react to a car movie or any movue you two haven't seen. Why not? Give it a try.

I must have missed something, you can still buy a Ram TRX. Those trucks are sitting on so many dealership lots across the U.S.

I kinda wanted to see Twisters when it was first announced but my first thought was "oh good...they are gonna fuck up yet ANOTHER childhood favorite?" seems I was right. it's basically just a rehash with new window dressing...all bad
They also use 1500 5.9 which is easier to find than the V10
Oohhh pook at me I'm old I like the old one better because nostalgic ooooohhh😂😂😂
Build or buy tornado case car guys lol rock on
If you can’t buy a thing, it’s not really a commercial
Classic hoopties are basically twisters. Close enough
Like the first one was a commercial
But a classic movie no matter what
Why do you call this good morning RUclips when you release the videos in the afternoon?
Take April to shelters r us for your next build
I thought the original was kind of dumb when I went to go see it. This one is going to be worse🤮
I want to know where the movie trucks went. I'll buy
That would have been cool to come to that hang at the drive inn
Cleetus is giving a trx away

Tyler you’re becoming cynical
How's Nelix and the kittens doing ?
They had to get rid of those deuce boxes some way or another. 😊
So when are you guys going to have a baby? 👶🏻

My question has always been regarding the original 'Twister'--How many changes of her white shell did Helen Hunt have during the filming???
Wait, you guys still have Drive-Ins? Looking for places in Kansas with a tornado shelter now...
I am disturbed my Hoovies enthusiasm for “twisting”. Thank you both for great content.
C'mon, Tyler! You're from Kansas and liked the first Twister? I call Bravo Sierra.
