I met with Summit Off Road back when they were getting started. They are a great off road shop and have gotten a couple of big RUclipsrs to stop by and have work done on their vehicles. Living in Tucson now, so I don't stop by like I used to. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
It's been a great shop to work for. Very grateful to be with this group of folks. We gave Shawn a hand this year with Story Till Now on his way to Expo West and have seen a few others come through. Marco with OverlndX, the Revere Overland, people from all over the world. Stop by the next time you're in town, would love to show you around.
Awesome!! It’s funny, I grew up in Dewey just outside of Prescott. Started following you a couple years back when you had the 2nd gen Tacoma. Such a small world that you ended up moving to Prescott. Looking forward to more great videos!
Thank you! I know I haven't put out much lately. I have plans in the very near future to record a couple more for everyone. Sorry for the delay, life's been busy!
Great video, buddy! You've earned a new subscription from me; I'm always glad to support a fellow Arizonan (especially one from New England, like myself).
It’s funny I see this video today. I was telling someone about you yesterday and listed off the vehicles you’ve had since I met you and said “I don’t even know what he’s driving now”
Haha that's awesome. Tacoma, F150, Hilux, 2003 4Runner, 2010 Tundra, 2018 4Runner. I think i'm sticking with this one though, although I miss that Hilux every day.
Next time stay at the windy spot. It dies down and the view of sedona at night is 😍 my daughter found a small frog at the spot you stayed at before its a really nice area.
@@PineStateOverland Trying to come up with something similar with my '04 Disco. I want to come up with a removable sleeping platform for solo trips that keeps the packout drawers under it on a slide out.
Great video. Such amazing scenery. Moving to the Phoenix area at the end of month after a divorce. Can’t wait to get out there and rediscover myself amount all that natural beauty.
This is the Gazelle T4 Hub Tent. It’s a great 3-season tent. Super easy to setup and fits good on the roof rack. It’s been a great transition from my RTT.
I guess that would depend on how you intend on moving. For me, I was a Sheriff's Deputy for a couple of years, had a change of heart and decided to pursue a creative career centered around my passion for photography and video. I sold my house, bought a camper, and traveled, meeting as many people as I could along the way. I was constantly reaching out to companies to offer my freelance services which definitely helped fill the gas tank and keep the trip moving. When I landed in Arizona, I decided to attend Overland Expo in Flagstaff, my first expo. It was there that I met the crew from Summit 4x4 Company and after inquiring as to whether or not they needed some marketing help, was offered their Marketing Manager position. For me it was kind of go with the flow, so plan on having some things not go as you would expect but make the most of those moments because that's where the opportunities come from. I met some incredible people on the road and wouldn't change a thing if given the choice to do it all over again. If you'd like to chat some more about it or have some questions, feel free to shoot me an email at PSOverland@gmail.com. Safe Travels!!
I live out of my Suby Outback…..just spent a month in the Ponderosa Pine Forests (the Cicinino National Forest) southeast of Flag….it gets pretty boring….nothing but pine trees, very few bird species, not much wildlife at all, and lots of volcanic rock everywhere. The good thing, though, is no mice or rats, no bears…..so I could leave food in my Clam Quikset shelter and nothing ever bothered it. You look like you are not far from Sedona…your spot looks nice
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
That's awesome. I had a Tundra for a little bit and loved it. Definitely miss the 5.7 power. Next time you're in the area hit me up on insta, @PSOverland.
Isn't it annoying to havemto keep going back for the camera? I can tell you that even 60 years ago we knew not to head "up north" on Memorial Day. WAY too many people. In AZ, and pretty much everywhere I have ever been trails are what you either walk or ride dirt bikes on, whereas roads take cars/trucks. Lastly, sorry to be a pest, but what is "overlanding"?
To answer your questions, sure it can be a little tedious to snag the camera after each shot but it gets me out and moving around so its a great way to get my steps in and enjoy nature. I was actually shocked I was able to find a space all to myself on that weekend, like you said, that's usually not the case. Sure trails could refer to a lot of different things. On the west coast, a lot of folks refer to off-road roads as trails rather than on the east coast where they're called "unimproved roads" or skidder roads. Overlanding, to put it simply, is vehicle based adventure travel, kind of a blend of both off-roading and camping. There's a lot that goes into it but the premise is self-reliance and exploring remote places with some of the added luxuries of home like onboard power for charging devices and running accessories, water, onboard air for airing up tires after airing down, a fridge and cooking/kitchen system, communications and sometimes even a roof top tent. I always used to say, before I knew what overlanding was, I just called it camping. This is just camping with your vehicle which is outfitted to provide you with both convenience and security/safety when out exploring nature.
@@PineStateOverland appreciate the answers...thanks for taking the time. I guess it is just my bias feeling of some folks missing the moment. Kind of like holding up your phone for an entire concert... then trying to remember what songs you just heard. Not that you are doing that, but you probably get me point. Have fun out there, Arizona is truly God's Country. :-)
Subscribed. Well composed content my friend. Hoping you bring us more northern AZ content soon.

Working on it as time allows. Will be getting some videos out here shortly. Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot!

Awesome video, great views 👍 you just got a new subscriber.

Its my favorite camp spot in AZ. I did experience some weird shit happening there overnight though.
It definitely a top 3 spot for me!
Can you elaborate on the weird shit part?
Milwaukee Packets for the win! I use 2 of the 2 drawer boxes currently 🙂
They’re the best. Super versatile. Will be integrating them somehow in the seat delete/platform I’m building.

+1 on the Gazelle. I use mine all winter long in NM. Stake the hubs out in the wind and the thing almost tornado proof.
Looks like East Buzzard Pount.
I think you might be right.
It is the Mogollun rim…pronounced mo-gee-on
lol thank you! My friends at work like to make fun of the way I say it too. I'll get it eventually! haha
