- Welcome to an epic overland adventure on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We will take you through four different dispersed camping location you and your crew can check out. Starting off near the vermillion cliffs, we climb the kaibab plateau and onto the Rim. Joining me is another tundra, 4runner, tacoma and gmc suburban.
Smiles around a campfire and beautiful views. It doesn't get any better than that. As a new guy, it was nice to see your wife. Great video again.
I've lived in Arizona most of my life, and I've never really explored and camped north of the Grand Canyon. Very cool seeing this. You've inspired me to get out more. Oh, and great video and camera work.
Thanks for this and your other overlanding videos. Yours is the quiet, calm voice I prefer among all the clamoring elsewhere. And an Arizonian, too!
Thank you brother. I try to keep a mellow vibe, it’s a mellow laid back hobby, the videos should reflect that!
Yes they are full of good content and calm
Yesssss dude. The world (or at least me) needed an epic WDO vid just about right now.
Man dude, camera work in this is next level. I am really liking the slowmo, and you got just the right amount of it in this vid. And seriously, I have been to Arizona dozens of times for mountain biking and I had no idea it held forests like that. Creation is wonderful.
Glad I can be of (entertainment) services. Thanks for watching as always brother. You should bring that new rig out this way and let’s get out and get some. Maybe I can meet ya in the middle!
@@Whitedogoverland Hit me up on the finsta man 🤙🤙
Really enjoyed this video Cody. Thanks for sharing. 💪🏼
Thanks for watching homie 👊🏼
You killed it again son. Wow, you are the goat. 100% overland. I love the north rim and the scenery is absolutely breath taking. Great drone work. Love ya Pa...
Thanks pops! The new drone really helps the whole element of this!
@@Whitedogoverland just keep it out of the trees 🤣
Brother, you are getting better and better with the camera and putting it all together. This one is the best yet. We notice and appreciate your hard work. You keep me inspired to keep improving my 01 Tundra and keep taking her out to stretch the legs with my doggo. I love Arizona more than anywhere else and you keep me taking notes on where to go. Thank you Cody. Just admire the hell out of ya.
Thank you so much, that comment means a ton. That tundra will literally run forever, my dad had an 01 that went to 450k. Incredible trucks.
I crack up seeing your dog sleep sitting up. WD wins the show! Nice GC video. Thanks.
Dog can sleep through anything. Thanks for watching brother.
Another win! You never fail to find the most epic camp spots!!!
I try not to let you guys down!
I crack up seeing your dog sleep sitting up. WD steels the show! Nice GC video. Thanks.
Man, it’s been about 10 years since we’ve been out to the Grand Canyon. I can’t wait to get back one day. Great video as always, buddy!
Thanks my man. When you’re coming this way, you know who to call!
I've been waiting and waiting and there's your latest video. Fantastic as always. Have never been to the North Rim; but thanks to you... It's as if I was there with your wonderful group of friends. God bless and continued success.
Glad I can bring a bit of the area into your perspective. It’s a magical place, even just the plateau is incredible aside from the views on the rim. Thank you brother for watching and the support!
I'm a 73 year old woman who never took the path less traveled. But watching your videos... Well, it's as if I'm there with your family and friends. God bless.
dear cody, thanks a lot for sharing these beautiful moments with us. as an italian living in switzerland i really hope i will see these beautiful places with my own eyes one day! until then i will enjoy your awesome videos! big salute from an italian in switzerland
So awesome to see my international supporters checking in. Thanks for the support!
Thank you for these videos man. As a native Arizonan that lived in the flat lands of Texas. It’s an amazing trip down memory lane
Glad I can bring some mountains back into your perspective. I have family in west Dallas and can sympathize with the flatland living. Thank you for watching
@@WhitedogoverlandI’m just south of Fort Worth and it’s terrible. One of your videos is literally where I grew up outside of Tucson and man it hit me in the feels
@jcole0719 I grew up 18 miles south of Angel Fire, NM, have lived in the Denton, TX area since '89, miss those mountains everyday but I'm blessed to have my family there and get to see them 3x a year. I'm going to my mountains today and I'm so happy!!!
@@joandonnelly7206 I absolutely love angel fire and red river New Mexico. We went there this year for a baby moon and will always return every year
Beautiful video brother. I make sure to watch them all the way through. Good stuff.
Man do I appreciate that, I like to do the same with my other RUclipsr friends like yourself. Support is key! Thank you brother
Nice to see regular toppers.. all these other channels with fancy canopies makes me think that I would need something like that when in reality less is more.
Less is more is something I continuously say. You don’t have to worry about being hard on it!
This trip was filled with insane views and great times with a great group of people. 10/10 recommend getting out to the north rim and checking out all that northern Arizona has in store! It will not disappoint!
The whole trip was killer dude. Can’t wait to take our gang back out!
Mr Cody yaa'aa te'h ,once again your overland excursions are the best. Beautiful country amazing sunsets ,happy to see three of you out together... Looking forward to the next overland adventure ,stay safe
Harry thank you for checking in, as always I appreciate your support brother. Hopefully not too much time will pass between this adventure and the next. I’m sure you know the challenges of getting outside during the Az summer!
@@Whitedogoverland yes I do understand the challenges I'll be waiting patiently for the next overland
So awesome! Loved the video, keep up the great content!!
Thank you!!
Hi Cody! Good job as always on the video. That's allot of scenery and ground to cover in 23 minutes, but you did it well.
Looking forward to your next video!
Thanks for watching!
Was such a fun trip man! Excited to get out again! 🤘🏼
Same here brother, patiently waiting for the next one
One of my favorite places in the whole world. The Kaibab squirrel is a cute little guy.
It’s seriously incredible out there
AWESOME video showing off Great 48…as always, well done!
Thanks a ton!
Man what awesome trails!! Thank you for sharing!!!! Loved the video....adding it to my Playlist I play at the shop. I run a 4x4 shop up here in Alberta and play you tube vids in the customer waiting area.
That would be an honor to be played up in your shop! Thanks my man!
@@Whitedogoverland anytime!! Thanks for making a great video!
Love exploring the Kaibab!
-Frank, Prescott, AZ
Thanks for watching Frank!
Absolutely amazing. Thank you Cody!
You bet, thank YOU!
Just back hours ago from a 7 day Colorado river rafting trip leaving from Lee's ferry. It was beautiful and intense!! Arizona is awesome. Timmy C Arizona
I bet that was insane! Always imagined how gnarly that would be
Really nice video, my boyfriend said that we are going to get a gang of friend together and do the Kaibab Plateau to the North Rim overland drive. Thanks for the insight and sharing your adventure. 😊
Thanks!! The whole plateau will knock your socks off. Amazing strip of land.
Incredible drone shots, well done.
Thanks my man.
Loooove these vids, slowly building out my gen 2.5 tundra. Keep them coming please 🎉😊
Absolutely!
Great video. Among your best.
Thank you sir
Epic shots!
Thanks brother!
Thanks for your videos, we just got back from a week at Crown King doing some trails around there and went to the south rim of the Grand Canyon as well😁. We also helped to put out a road side fire on the way there from Texas. One other person was stopped working on the fire, but no one else stopped to help! Even when the troopers showed up, they stayed back. We had it all out before the fd showed up.😅
I absolutely love crown king, especially the back road up to the saloon! We saw a roadside fire on our way down from the rim last weekend, hotshots already had it under control but the whole north bound 17 was shut down. Pretty incredible to watch them spread first hand.
@@Whitedogoverland 👍
Definitely on my list of places to see Cody , thank for the video 👍
You bet thanks for watching!
As usual I’m late to the party, but! Im about to get some dinner and watch this!
Better late than never brotha 🤙🏼
Another amazing video!
Thanks Babe!
Seeing the views from the drone is crazy!
Something we can’t see under that tree line. Sure helps the element of the videos!
❤ so awesome thank you❤
Thanks for watching!!
Awesome video dude! 🤙
Thanks brotha
Kaibab & North Rim; I've been there several times and I really want to explore off road. Great views.
So much land to see up there, it would keep you busy for weeks!
Campfire can be enjoyed by RESPONSIBLE citizens, anytime. Great trip. Great vid
Absolutely! Thank you!
Great video as always. Been wanting to get up to that area for years. If you're ever looking to expand your group, let me know!
If you’re on Instagram, shoot me a message!
Banger drone shots Cody 👍🏻
Thank you brotha
those spots are amazing man!
Oh man they were incredible!
incredible views...I need to make it down there.
Couldn’t agree more!
Hey Cody, awesome vid as always! I haven't commented too much yet, but your overlanding vids are by far the best. And its even better coming from a true Arizonian! Have one question that you dont have to answer, but around the 11ish minute mark, is that the 212? Thanks for what you do!
Good production. Work in the video field? Subscribed to watch your travels. Thanks for posting.
Thank you and welcome! Not in the field, just doing this for the love of it!
Fires are nice but I like to use my water for better things than putting out campfires especially when you have limited amount of it. camping next to a creek makes life easier. Just my take not shaming. Great video thanks for sharing
I usually have fires by a stream so I don’t waste the water supply, but this was almost the final day and I had plenty left. A fire is 50% of the reason I go camp haha. Thanks for watching
Pretty epic
Thanks again for a great get away for me. Do my eyes deceive me, or did you clean the Tundra up ?
Haha you’re eyes aren’t playing tricks, I did a full detail on the tundra interior. I had sticks and brush from all four corners starting to pile up on the floor!
I have a few points marked on Gaia. East and west of the Hwy. I need to get there. Sublime Point being one.
Sublime looks amazing. I didn’t travel down there due to the lottery permit and max 4 trucks over night but I’d love to see it one day
@@WhitedogoverlandI wasn't aware it was a lottery permit to get there.😢
@imbdileva as far as I know… the NP websites are always so confusing. I’m pretty sure a day permit is not needed but camping is
Hell ya
Are you in Tucson by chance? Think I have seen your Tundra out and about before. Keep up the great videos!
I am! North east
@@Whitedogoverland Nice - I'm up in Oro Valley - have a 2013 Raptor set up for overlanding - I try and get out a lot with a group of guys from a group called SOAZ Offroad.
great content! im going to purchase my first tundra soon and would love too know the model of your tent/cover? cheers
Thanks! It’s called a Flippac, the company is out of business now. Mine will be for sale soon!
Lol, those shorts though...
What camera are you using?
Sony a6600
Fucking beautiful Sir.
Thank you brother
WDO, still up for debate if you are prettier than your lady. Would be nice if youtube provided voting buttons so the audience could choose who is farer. However, there is no debate that your Great Pyr is beautiful. Love the pup. I guess hence the channel name.
Ah man she has me beat by far! But the dog yes, she has a beauty about her!
How many miligrams of edibles Johnny is on at literally all times in every video lmao
he may be my new favorite guest now that I spotted him drinking a twisted tea tall boy 😂
He’s everyone’s favorite haha, no edibles for that guy but we partake in other means of consumption lol
These videos are so cool but I gotta say it: the confederate patch in the cab? In 2024? What?
I collect and appreciate relics of history, not ideology
Did you have the confederate flag patch before or after your onxoffroad partnership?
Had this patch for many years. Everyone likes to point that out, I’m not a Jonny reb, I appreciate every side of American history and observe it for what it is.
@@Whitedogoverlandit’s just weird that I see a confederate flag in that group of patches but no American flag
@lndzr548 there’s three
You should lose that confederate flag patch. Bad look.
No sir, this is a historical channel. We observe all sides of history whether it’s agreed with or not. I don’t care who likes it or who doesn’t, I’m not bending over and deleting history because people are offended.
@@Whitedogoverland 😂 no siiiiiiir.
@@TMTrailSnail welp someone complained to two of my sponsors so not I guess the patch comes down, lmao. Im finally getting cancelled
@@Whitedogoverland You live for today, not yesterday. Let’s celebrate a better world today as we learn from the mistakes of our ancestors yesterday. Live like your dog.
@TMTrailSnail absolutely agree with that but at the same time, erasing icons of the past disregards learning opportunity for future generations. I also enjoy collecting obscure artifacts from history. I bought that patch along with a Union patch from a Gettysburg museum when I was young. Reminds me of the trip something I’d hate to forget
