This is how people really do become successful. Educating themselves, grafting and ultimately providing something that most other people cannot. Very nice.
Brother awesome Hack!! Your idea to use the glass... GENIUS!... You designed for safety as well... One of the best builds I've seen so far for a balance of simplicity and safety coupled with longevity... Cheers Mate well done!!👍👍👍
Cracking job as always Martin, great to have a review combined like this. As I mentioned before you inspired me to get my older version of the same PC system back up and running as I had been hampered by the size restriction of the domestic over, then took on redoing a conversion of a office cabinet and then powder coated load of items for the kit car rebuild. Presently sand blasting some bench ends that will get powder coated with some colour from electrostatic magic for a work mate, keep up the great work you 2.
Inspiring, this is my dream hobby ones retire, I can't wait to set me up for this. Anyone knows where to get powder coating i Europe? I'm in US now and it's easy here, but moving back to Europe
Mate ! Thanks for the explanations and for sharing your set up. Im following your Ideas, and trying to make the same... why haven't you used the 3 glasses from the oven you have used ?
Martin this might sound a silly question but how did you manage to get the grill element and the oven element to work at the same time? Your video and ideas are absolutely brilliant mate keep it up
Great video I have just subscribed, I'm a fabricator and manufacture things and sell on Ebay, Amazon, Etsy etc. Not sure if making an oven will save me any money. Is the running costs high? How long does it take in the oven? Who supplies the powder?

Martin
I would have clear-coated those antique pieces to seal in that nice patina :).

And also I am using used materials...does it make a big difference if I use both rockwool and glasswool ?
How did you do the preparation? 🤔👍
Give a👍 but no reply not really helpful 🤔🤦
Mate ! Thanks for the explanations and for sharing your set up.
Im following your Ideas, and trying to make the same... why haven't you used the 3 glasses from the oven you have used ?
It was my first build, I would probably make modifications if I did it again.
This is a awsome vid👍 just 1 question tho. How does the oven no when its up to temp? Was the a thermostat that came with the oven?
Yes it is bud but I also keep a check on it and when its up to temp, I lower the control.
do you sandblast?
Nice job. What's the total volume inside, the wattage, and the time to temperature? What's the skin temperature where it's insulated?
Quality 👍
what size cabinet is that?
Why it feels like i am going to heaven??😅
Were you able to remove and reinstall the Amersham decal, find a duplicate, or mask it off? Wouldn't have thought it would survive the heat.
I made new ones bud
@@bizarreandbrilliant Well, that ability is something I'll have to learn about. Any suggestions about where to start?
Try waterslide decal paper on your home printer and then lacquer them with rattle can varnish.
@@bizarreandbrilliant Thank you for the introduction to this technology.
What tape you used inside the oven?
It's aluminium duct jointing tape.
I'd love to see how the glue on all that tape is going to withstand 350 to 500 degrees for any length of time...
It holds up well and its not affected after 2 years+
Martin this might sound a silly question but how did you manage to get the grill element and the oven element to work at the same time? Your video and ideas are absolutely brilliant mate keep it up
This cooker had a dual oven/grill I think and no extra wiring was needed. It all worked off the original controls.
Great video I have just subscribed, I'm a fabricator and manufacture things and sell on Ebay, Amazon, Etsy etc. Not sure if making an oven will save me any money. Is the running costs high? How long does it take in the oven? Who supplies the powder?
10 minutes on average, Don't really notice the running costs as its a hobby. Powder suppliers is in the video description.
Nice
How much to build me one
Strange feeling of DEJA VU.
Wonder what's happening gone quiet hope all is well 😷👌
Decorating Darren, back soon on Retrorestore.
@@bizarreandbrilliant Nice one had me worried for a minute your the only thing worth watching 👍👌👏👏👏
That music... did you also discover an alien signal?
What powder coating gun is that being used?
Its in the description
Pity you didn't get Chris old one also mate. It would probably been a simple fix for you
Build yourself a sand blaster
I have one.

Great job on the oven.
You need more colors.
I have a whole range of colours. This was just a snap shot of what I have done over the past year.
You need a new soundtrack lol. I fell asleep and had weird dreams.
No way a rims fits
Depends on the size.
