I love when people discover this series for the first time. The Arkham Franchise is really one of the greatest and best videogame franchises ever. What makes it even cooler is that Kevin Conroy (RIP) and Mark Hamill return to voice Batman and The Joker respectively from Batman TAS and The DCAU. For the longest time they both wanted to do something more mature and the got their chance
Arkham Asylum was one of the first videogames I was introduced to and it helped me learn more about the lore behind the Batman mythos, his allies and villains, which aside from Spider-Man's and The Flash's , is just one of the best comic book rouges gallery ever. I'm looking forward to how you react to the rest of this game, cause it is really fun to play and is just overall a masterpiece

The darker take became a bit more divisive as the series went on as they started leaning into the more contentious elements of Batman's personality, but it really worked well isolated here in the Asylum where the Gothic atmosphere shined through with the rundown environment with a lot of history.
In a way you could say the Arkham games were the victim of their own success.

I 100% arkham asylum. It was really fun. It was nostalgic and it only took me over a month to complete it, including all the riddler challenges, riddles, and trophies.
as huge fan of batman and the series i spend a lot of time playing those gams but its hard to finish it 100%.

Joker seems like a drunk friend you are driving home to the asylum in the beginning.
Don't sleep on destroying Joker teeth, they're worth some XP for more upgrades more quickly.
this is one of the best game where can't stop playing this game is so easy to play

The “original” Batman cartoons were from the 70s not 90s.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but unlike some the movies, Joker doesn't wear any make-up. In fact, during his first encounter with Batman, he was disguised as the criminal Red Hood and he accidentally falls in a vat of acidic chemicals and as a result his entire skin is permanently bleached white, his hair is turned naturally green and his lips have a blood red colour. He doesn't wear any make-up whatsoever.
Dc fans/readers knew that and they even put it in one of the dcau movies

I love this game I remember all I did when I got off work was play this game that and Arkham City which is just as awesome maybe even better..I must of played this and Arkham City over a 100 times I never got tired of it..

You don't have to choose the upgrades in the order that they appear in the game. Armor, Inverted Takedown, and Double (later Triple) Batarangs are good to get early on, especially inverted takedown.

If ANYTHING seems to stand out, scan it -- it'll likely be the answer to a riddle.

Aweosme love seeing people play the Batman games for the first time! & Joker isn’t wearing make up in this that’s his actual skin & hair, Joker has like 3 main origins but most of the time even in the cartoons he falls into chemicals after being chased by Batman & he becomes the Joker his skin & hair is turned that color. You should watch Batman Under the Red Hood or Batman Killing Joke it explains it in those films

I really don't recommend playing on hard mode considering this your first time playing this game. Trust me it gets harder as the game progresses. So it's best to keep it on normal for a balanced experience.

@@krissyonYT Hey glad to see that you are tackling this game. I don't want to spoil things that happen later but there are two things that you need to know before hand because if you don't & you miss collecting these things then you won't be able to go back later. First at some point in the game you will get locked in a cell. I can't remember if there is a riddle trophy but there is definitely something on the wall that will need to be scanned. You must do this before you escape the cell as you can't get back in afterwards.. The second thing is that later in the game there will be an area where you are trying to reach the pump station's, if I remember correctly there is two pathways to take , once you shut the pumps off in one area then you need to make your way back down the corridor that you came through to find the room that you started in. From there you can find the other corridor & repeat, but you must collect/ scan all items & destroy any Joker teeth in these locations before heading back down the corridors because once you come back out of a corridor it will be locked up for the rest of the game & this stuff will become inaccessible.

I 100%ed this game twice, and there are no missable trophies in this game other than Leave No Man Behind, Party Pooper. You just need to backtrack in the game.
Funny thing I played this game way back in 2009 and it took me 5 years to beat the whole game without using any RUclips videos about it ha ha 🤣 🤣

I would reccomend not playing hard difficulty as it doesn't show counters in combat
There is riddler trophies you cant get til later in the game

This game is kinda hard but it's really fun
You said you’re not good at stealth, but I have to disagree with that. 😂 A little tip, try not to button mash in combat, the game will punish you for it, by taking your combo score away. It’s usually 3 to 4 hits, and a counter for every thug. It’s all rhythm!! Good luck, I enjoyed your video.

Not only did the remaster of the first minimize the moon and the ambiance, and completely ruin Batman’s face and textures, but if you genuinely saw the opening to City’s remaster and were impressed, you aren’t allowed to have an opinion. Seriously, Sims 3 level graphics.
