I’m finishing up my 4 year apprenticeship and decided to treat myself to my first nice tool. I went with the knipex 10” angled head diagonal cutters! So stoked. I can’t wait till they get here 😁

You need many more videos like this. Not easy or cheap but much needed, a comparison of many different options for many different situations. For examples different brand pliers or wrenches, but many to them like this. So needed.

Hey Nick... Wow I never expected to win. Just wanted your channel to do well. Thank you for picking me!! I bought the Doyle angled side cutters from Harbor Freight and I am pretty impressed. For use weekend warriors it does a great job plus it has an easy replacement if it ever fails me. I would love some Kleins but kind of overkill for my current situation.

I do like the handles on most of the Milwaukee pliers in general... I have a pair of the 6 in 1s with the Linesman tip and they are one of my favs.. but the nicest side cutter I have used is my 9" Klein high leverage side cutter... the curve at the end of the handle is great so it doesn't slide out of your hand..

Who makes the best sidecutters? You covered a lot of good ones. I used to think Klein was the way to go. Now, Knipex is also top tier. Good analysis.

Knipex is definitely in the top tier, with companies like Pittsburgh, Kobalt, Craftsmen, Husky, etc out there, knipex definitely ranks in the top, but I’m far under qualified to say which one is actually the best, Klein makes a wonderful tool too

Klein is excellent, Knipex however is the best

If you like the side cutters with strippers try the Knipex 14 22 160s I swear by them

Can it strip 18ga stranded wire? I’ve looked at those but I thought they are designed for 16ga and 14ga? They would be perfect for me if they would do 18!

The Menards tool shop brand is by far the best. It costs less too.

What, no Channellock diagonal cutters? I'm also wondering about cable cutters, you did include bolt cutters after all. If you can, while purchasing Kleins, you can almost get a feel for them in the package. Not all of them are sticky.
As requested, right from the manufacturer ruclips.net/video/4OWs7a9jww8/видео.html they even have a t-shirt! Thanks for sharing.👍 I may have to try some of those with the angled cutters. I could see them being useful on occasion.

Ha! Now that you mention it I can picture where I have 2 different pairs of channellock side cutters, shoulda grabbed them to talk about them too, they aren’t my favorite, they are of quality and not too expensive but I just don’t like how they feel to use

Also, I have watched those pronunciation vids, but then when it comes to me saying it, comes out wrong hahaha, I’ll never learn

@In The Shop w/ Nic Wolfer i mentioned the Channellocks because I know one guy who uses them and some Channellock linesman pliers for tie wire work and they have endured much abuse and still work well, I also know of a pair on a fishing boat rusty as heck but still cutting. I didn't mention Snap-Ons or any other exotic cutters like Fujiya or NWS since it appears you chose middle of the road brands. Some other brands you could try are Southwire, Greenlee and Ideal.
