    13:28 I would definitely go the Izone route. I do not have much motivation and patience, so putting in all that effort to debut and getting faster results with nice charting seems like a win to me. Fromis though they’ve joined with Hybe are still pretty underrated. I could imagine myself getting really tired over time, so a more short-lived group would probably suit me best. That way, I could leave the group knowing all that I’ve accomplished in such little time

    You might already be aware of this, but Girls Planet was basically re-branded Season 5 of the Produce series due to the voting scandal covered in the guide.
    You can tell the pedigree of the Produce sister/brother groups by "1" or "ONE" in their names:
    Produce 101 [S1] - I.O."I"
    Produce 101 [S2] - Wanna "One"
    Produce 48 [S3] - IZ*"ONE"
    Produce 101 [S4] - X"1"
    Girls Planet [S5] - Kep"1"er
    Boys Planet [S6] - ZB"1"
    Produce 101 Japan [S1] - JO"1"
    Produce 101 Japan [S2] - IN"I"
    Season 3 of the Produce 101 Japan is about to air in October. Since you are following Kep1er, why not it a shot?
    It'd be fun to watch Kep1er's new sister group forming in Japan live.

    The first team in Korean history to raise funds to create a national entertainment agency against the dissolution of the team. That's IZ*ONE.
    They couldn't actually be more than half active.
    The voting controversy was followed by global disease.
    IZ*ONE broke all records as soon as they appeared, and it was an absolute position.
    Even now that they are disbanded, they are still active in many fields. It's about 30% of the 4th generation girl group in Korea.
    Now that I look back,
    It was the Dream Team.

    • @JeffReacts12
      @JeffReacts12  9 месяцев назад

      Yea I obviously came into kpop after IZ*One was done but they were a powerhouse group. Like you said, a dream team. A lot of survival shows will say that the strongest group on any given mission is "the Avengers" but that's basically what IZ*ONE really was lol

  • @GhostlyRae
    @GhostlyRae 10 месяцев назад +2

    There was 20 contestant in the final Debut evaluation
    I think the main hitback of the vote riggings of the produce series is that because IZ*ONE was (is) so successful, it became unfair for the 2 contestants who were rigged out because they could have be that successful and famous if they were not rigged out. When the news came out, the IZ*ONE members were so heavily criticised and in so much stress.
    Additional info: It was confirmed that Lee Gaeun and Han Chowon were rigged out of IZ*ONE. Lee Gaeun is now an actress and Han Chowon is now a member of LIGHTSUM from Cube ent.

      Good to see you again :) Thanks for letting me know how many were left! Also that makes sense to be upset on behalf of the 2 that got rigged out but it's a shame that the members that did make it were put under such stress for something they didn't have anything to do with :( At least the other two still managed to find some success even if it wasn't as much as they would have had.

    • @GhostlyRae
      @GhostlyRae 10 месяцев назад +2

      @JeffReacts12 It was just a shame because having watched Produce 48, I know how talented they both are. But I have to say that I wouldn't be able to see how they'd fit in IZ*ONE as their concept/style are vastly different.
      Also a fun fact for you: Lee Gaeun was in Pledis Ent and she participated in PD48 with Yunjin of Le sserafim! They are both still very close to this day, and Gaeun went to Le Sserafim's concert last month with another contestant from PD48 and Lee Haein who was rigged from her first place in Idol School (meaning she would have been a member of Fromis_9)

      @GhostlyRae 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@JeffReacts12 I do recommend checking out PD48 if and when you can. Putting aside the voting scandal (which I want to emphasize that the vote manipulation was only during in the final debut evaluation), there were some amazing stages that came out of the show.
      And I absolutely agree with you on the friendships that form from survival show. I think it's that sense of commanderie of literally surviving whatever horrible living conditions and competition they were tossed into. Whether they made it into the group or were eliminated during the show, idols that came from survival shows are also close and you can see them interacting.
      Members of I.O.I are still close despite only months of promotions and I believe they had an anniversary gathering earlier this year if memory serves me right. Fromis_9 members were so happy when Yuri was announced 3rd place in PD48 and they were also behind IZ*ONE when they won their first win - Fromis_9 and IZ*ONE were under the same company way back when.

    I have a little to say about the vote-rigging case. I know well because I watched Produce 48 at the time.
    I'm not saying that my claim is true, but that there must have been circumstances.
    From the beginning, there was an unexpected serious problem with the voting system.
    Produce 48 was an audition program consisting of trainees from Korea and contestants from Japan's AKB48.
    The problem was that Korean trainees were outstanding. AKB48 was very different from the Korean girl group system, so they were active without proper professional training.
    This is not a personal problem, but because there was a difference in idol culture between Korea and Japan.
    This is how the vote went.
    50% is reflected in Korea, and the rest is overseas.
    And a duplicate vote is possible. Four or five contestants that I liked in the first round of voting.
    The problem with this system is that Korean trainees get all the tickets scattered, while some Japanese trainees get all the votes.
    Because the Korean trainees' skills were leveled upward.
    So in the beginning, Japanese trainees formed a leading group.
    The question is next.
    By the time of the final, only one person had to vote. 1 vote = 1 participant
    Now, what will happen?
    This time, the Korean participants take all the tickets. I told you that the Korean region reflects 50% of the ticket. Korean participants were trainees from Korean agencies, so there was a big difference in skills with Japanese participants.
    This audition program was originally a joint program between Korea and Japan.
    By the way, there's only one Japanese trainee. Maybe Sakura
    This is a failed audition.
    There are 12 people selected, but there is only one Japanese. Who can accept this? It's a joint program with Japan.
    Are you manipulating it? Or will the program itself fail? It's a crossroads.
    It's just my imagination, but I'm pretty sure.
    The voting system had to.
    No, maybe it was designed like that in the first place.
    The Japanese participants will see the benefits of the system that allows them to vote for several people in the beginning. The program designers couldn't have known this.

    • @JeffReacts12
      @JeffReacts12  9 месяцев назад +1

      Interesting theory. I don't know about any of that but I do know I've never been a fan of shows that do that type of thing where Korean votes count for 50% and the rest of the countries all combined for the other 50%. Like Girls Planet 999 and Boys Planet. It's so dumb. Like... if you want to make a Korean group that's completely fine but don't lie to the global audience and say our votes matter then. Or if you really want global votes to matter, why let such a small population be 50% of the votes? Makes no sense

    • @Panorama-memory
      @Panorama-memory 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@JeffReacts12 Here's what you said.
      Until now, audition participants for Korean girl groups were practically Korea, Japan, and China, even if they were multinational.
      At that time, it wasn't the time when girl groups went out to the world yet. At best, the East Asian market area was the market.
      Especially, this program is Korea and Japan.
      The problem is that this is going to be a national war.
      Japan is four times the population of South Korea. China is dozens of times as big.
      If we vote one by one...
      Only Japanese and Chinese people will be chosen.
      Because the population of South Korea is small, such a ratio came out.

    • @JeffReacts12
      @JeffReacts12  9 месяцев назад

      @Panorama-memory understandable. But if you're making a global group then it doesn't matter what the nationality is of the final group members, it would only matter that it's fairly voted for by everyone. For example, girls planet 999 had contestants from China, Japan, and Korea, however making the entire world only count for 50% ensured that the final group would be almost completely Korean members. In the case of Kep1er, the group ended up with 2 Japanese girls (Mashiro and Hikaru), only one Chinese girl (Xiaoting), and the other 6 members are Korean (Yujin, Bahiyyih, Yeseo, Youngeun, Chaehyun, and Dayeon). I love Kep1er but there are other girls who didn't make it but should have if the voting was more fair (examples like Yurina or Shana or Su Ruiqi). Of course this is just one example of one show.
      If the goal is to make a Korean group that is perfectly OK, but don't lie to the world and say their votes matter because they obviously didn't lol

    • @Panorama-memory
      @Panorama-memory 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@JeffReacts12 Nice to meet you. Yurina was the favorite Japanese contestant on Girls Planet 999.
      When she was eliminated, I doubted my eyes.
      The biggest problem with these audition programs is that viewers are greatly influenced by the narratives produced by the stations.
      Suruichi was an unintentional victim of a bad side in the beginning. It came out as if she had provoked Choi Yu-jin, the original author, on a helicopter stage, and she was broadcasted as if she were rude.
      Anyway, the rate of correcting the vote is not as high as I thought. That's what it means. It has a direct and absolute impact on the outcome.
      The problem is that no one will know this appropriate and satisfactory percentage of reflection until the vote is out..
      Therefore, humans have no choice but to coordinate after seeing the final result, and that seems to be the reason for the manipulation of the number of votes.
      I'm definitely not advocating vote rigging.
      By the way, there is virtually no other way to correct the problem you said and the problem I said. If a human intervenes, everything is rigged.
      I think IZ*ONE's situation is this kind of thing.

    • @Panorama-memory
      @Panorama-memory 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@JeffReacts12 To be honest,
      If we choose a Korean girl group style.. No country can beat Korean trainees.
      Japan and China are providing support... There are many participants who are not even ready for basic training.
      Japanese participants, Chinese contestant
      If a professional seriously picks one, not a single person can be picked. This is the truth.
      It's not a matter of talent, it's a matter of professional training.
      Semi-pro and amateur are going to play against each other.
      To be honest, a Japanese member or a Chinese member is a strategic choice. a strategy to look at the size of the market they have
      These days, Korean idols don't pick Chinese people at all.
      Until just a few years ago, companies chose Chinese members unconditionally.
      The reason is
      Chinese members ruined their reputation so much that the Chinese government banned Korean K-pop in the Chinese market.
      I'll be absolutely honest.
      There is no reason to choose Japanese or Chinese members except for strategic reasons. There's a huge gap in skills.
      Furthermore,
      BT or other teams, all of which are Korean, do not have to choose the country's members in the way of globalization. They proved that.
      The trend these days is
      They created a team consisting of only foreign members focusing on overseas, excluding the Korean market.
      I'm doing auditions like Produce 101 Japan, Niziu Project, Vicha, The Debut: Dream Academy.
      Maybe, it is because of the inevitable problems you mentioned that auditions like putting foreign members in the center of Korean members.
      Because there are too many or too few Korean members.
      That's why the agencies make them multinational members from the beginning.
      There is no fundamental solution to the problem of voting rates and too many Korean members being chosen. In a transparent referendum system.
      Even if too many Korean members are chosen, it's frustrating, and at least there will be complaints.
      It is true that the population of South Korea is small, and it is true that voting becomes a national competition.
      This is just what I think.
