The old Game Over screen just sums up in less than a second that, Luigi actually got to the end but found out his brother was already turned into a painting, and there was no sign of life left on Mario.
+ShootGames121212 the reason is because they made a Wii that could play GameCube games with a wave bird and a little box that you plug in to the Wii so the every one could get it also they wanted a Mario game not a weegee game.
+Chris Westergaard Well, I bet they would have something like the Song of Time from Majora's Mask, you know, a catch so that it's not too overwhelming. Perhaps with the game boy horror? Maybe E. Gadd?
But I can't. I had a nightmare this Sunday of a live action Winnie the Pooh being in a dark house with lightning strikes, when Winnie the Pooh said "God D**n it." , the evil laughter was heared and the evil entity used a gun and shot Winnie the Pooh, with Winnie the Pooh screaming in pain and died. That horrified me ever since. O_O
Um isn't Mario's Painting used for when Luigi looks at Mario being trapped in a painting? Or is there some sort of difference in length/sound, also Space Room would've been really annoying so I'm glad that wasn't used.
Andre_601 I own the US version (I live in Canada) and that sound is used. I'm thinking maybe it was Japan's version that didn't have it, since Nintendo games are usually released in Japan first.
Actually that painting music is in the final game all you have to do is return to that area and the game will play a shorter version of the original cutscene and will play that music instead
Mario's Painting: I'm not sure. Totaka's Song: Yes, it's hidden in the training menu, but it was played on a piano during development instead of the training menu.
Hey! 5:17 Marios painting is not a unused audio. If you enter on the well that is located at the backyard of the mansion and walk a tunel to the end you will end up on King Boos room, trough the head of a lion-garden-fountain like decoration. And a cutscene plays, luigi sees the room and Mario for the first time; begging for help inside the painting but he cannot be reached. This audio is the soundtrack of that cutscene.
Shadows And Air Conditioners I can help with that, when you see Mario the first time the long version plays but after that cutscene, you go back down the well and then a shorter cutscene will play and that song is used
The version of that song featured in the video isn't as dramatic as the one in the game. It's the same tune but the fast part at the end was a bit louder in the game, and I think it's a tiny bit faster as well.
Regarding the bit about stereoscopic 3D... Luigi's Mansion is now being remade for the Nintendo 3DS, which means we'll finally be able to use stereoscopic 3D while playing the game! 😄
Totaka's Song and Mario's Painting were used in the game. Totaka's Song is heard when you listen to the Training Room music for a while. And Mario's Painting was in a cut scene. When you go down the well and look out the little opening down in the well.

In a nutshell, the beta is scarier than the final version.
The Luigi Show I hope the bring the Beta version and Final version on the Switch
Jae Phalcon Luigi's Mansion, the original final version, will be released to Nintendo Switch, it was announced on Nintendo Direct 3.8.18
Zayan Khan sorry to sound sorta rude but that was a remake of the game for the 3DS not the switch.
The Luigi Show yes mah weegee
You can say that again
The old Game Over screen just sums up in less than a second that, Luigi actually got to the end but found out his brother was already turned into a painting, and there was no sign of life left on Mario.
Mario Mayhem pretty much
Mario Mayhem that wasn’t the game over, it’s just for the trailer to get people excited.
I think the game over is supposed to be a possesed luigi after failing to contain all the ghosts
Mario Mayhem, I like that name. Why don’t you make any videos?
@RGX games /jelly army yeah but show that at a kid they will not buy it
"Rare games no one seems to know about"?
Really? I was under the impression that EVERY person who had a GameCube played this o.o
+Ayden Wolfe that's sort of true because when the gamecube came out nobody played it and when the wii came out everybody played Luigi's Mansion
+ShootGames121212 Huh. Guess I just knew more people that played it o.o

+ShootGames121212 the reason is because they made a Wii that could play GameCube games with a wave bird and a little box that you plug in to the Wii so the every one could get it also they wanted a Mario game not a weegee game.

Revisiting for nostalgia purposes. Crazy how far this whole scene has come in the past 7 years
9 years now. Dude, if the beta64 channel was a person, beta64 would be in 4-5 grade.
now its turning 10
Man I am so glad they got rid of the time limit. As a kid it took me forever to play through the game and that kinda shit would've traumatized me
+Chris Westergaard Well, I bet they would have something like the Song of Time from Majora's Mask, you know, a catch so that it's not too overwhelming. Perhaps with the game boy horror? Maybe E. Gadd?
The 3 Newbs maybe? I dunno. I'm glad there was that option in Majora's Mask though XD
Chris Westergaard Yeah, I agree.
totally understand if was terrified of Chauncey when I was 7 also I beat it 5 years after I got it but now I can beat the entire game in about 7 hours
Huh neat
"the cutscene is slightly longer than the full game"-Beta64, 2012
Still, that was hilarious.
I get it xD
I thought the same
It's like Dalmatians 3. Only in that game, the cutscene is WAY longer then the full game.
*Shrug.*
"Luigi's Mansion is one of those rare Nintendo games that no one seems to know about".
EXCUSE ME SIR WTF DID YOU JUST SAY?!
Like 7 years later there is another Luigi's Mansion. yeah it's really rare ya know?
Troy Swinehart Yeah. 11 years later.
Luigi’s Mansion is a memorable but not as popular game. The sequel came out way after.
This was before the sequel though.
The original was the best
*violent spitting* I can't believe I've actually said that.
"Mario's Painting" audio clip is in the final game.
Yea and I'm pretty sure I've heard ones like total score as well in the full game
Now that I remember that clip, it *really* resembles the SSB4 theme, right? (Mario's Painting)
iTzKrimson Gaming it sounds like a slower version of a tune I've heard in the game, but I forget where. Also its looped more.
It plays when you find one of Marion items.
Ya when u see mario in the well

But Space Room is actually IN the final version! Just in a different form...
and about the painting, I actually don't remember the music...
Yeah, but it adds to the mysterious unused atmosphere of the beta version.
The music "mario's painting" IS used. At least in the european version (Wich I have myself).
Maybe it was removed in the japanese and US-version...
Andre_601 I own the US version (I live in Canada) and that sound is used. I'm thinking maybe it was Japan's version that didn't have it, since Nintendo games are usually released in Japan first.
