no there was a solar eclipse last year annular, Oct 14th, 2023 I saw well not the whole thing since I wasn't in the path of the main part but there was a solar eclipse last year and this year, sadly it is rare for us to get eclipses even though they happen every year so we were lucky this time even if one was annular.. Well if you go on a plane to see next's years eclipse you can though but it isn't in the Us
@@Afanofundertaleandvocaloid A “Annular solar eclipse” is when the moon passes in between the sun and the Earth but it’s farther away from Earth and a “Total solar eclipse” is when the moon is closer to the Earth(Annular also has something called a “ring of fire”)
@@carloszayas8975nah, its an annular eclipse where the sun appears bigger, the moon dosen't block it completely so you won't be able to see the corona but it will create a ring of fire effect.
april 8th is a total solar eclipse. this is an annular solar eclipse Also this video was made in 2023 when no one knew a solar eclipse in 2024 was coming. The hell are you talking about?
@@AfanofundertaleandvocaloidUm, I sure knew it was coming, I had been waiting for the April 8th eclipse since 2017. But yeah, I don't think whoever uploaded this video has a time machine.

Very well done. Neat to see it in hydrogen alpha.
I love how it looks like pacman. Great video 👍👍
nice
What filter did you use for this if you can remember the exact one?
I think this is Hydrogen-Alpha (Ha) filter. It shows a ton of surface detail on the sun as opposed to the standard solar filter.
Cool.
