This is a great video. I started making home made food for my 6 year old Golden but I'm concerned about her getting enough nutrition. My recipe consists of, 6 cups of water, adding 1lb of ground turkey, 1 pinch of Rosemary, brown rice and mixed frozen vegetables. (Carrots, zucchini, Cauliflower and Broccoli). Could you please advise me on any nutrients with would be missing from this recipe to keep my Golden healthy ? Thanks so much!

I thought the 2 review videos were really informative. I would like to hear similar great info for , say puppy diets and large bred feeding, given all the hip and joint challenges

My vet recommended using a fish oil pill but after the third day of trying to get my dog to swallow it I noticed he had turned it into a game of me chasing him around the house with a pill, wrestling him to the ground, shoving it in his mouth several times, and finally accepting defeat, it was a 15 minute "fun time" and he was having a blast... I was irritated... so we swapped it out with sardines (in water) and everyone is happy... although I do think he misses the pre dinner activity.

I actually fed that homemade recipe and my dog got really sick. After I stopped feeding it, he got better and I switched to pre-made raw (Ofc I took it slow don’t worry!)

How did you discover cushings? My husband has said he suspects our new rescue may have this or at least his reading on it he attributed to our dog, except for being a little skinny I'm not sure there's anything wrong and don't want to do unnecessary tests just because he is worried about his weight, he was rescue so I suspect he just wasn't fed enough by his foster mother

A year ago we noticed our little girl was starting a belly. Took her to the Vet he really didn't comment. .
Fast forward she started drinking more water, always hungry seemed tired.
Back to the Vet he took a blood test and said thats what she has.
He said we could do more test to confirm. I told him no.
I'll do what I can to make our girl comfortable.
About 2 weeks after the Vet visit her rear legs went out. She's ok now, but you could really see the difference in those little legs.
She doesn't appear to be in pain.
We now have her on a healthy diet. Time will tell?
I hope this helps you with your fur baby.
      Best wishes.
