My dog has a little amount of kibble because it's got grains in it. But it has a whole load of crap in too. Hydro and hydra that. As far as I'm concerned, just like what I eat ... If you actually don't know what it is don't eat it. Can you direct me to a kibble that doesn't have crap in it or grains. I am gluten free because it's bad for my arthritis and fibromyalgia. I've been told my dog, Maltese is prone to joints problems, she's always jumping up and down. Tried using steps, she won't...makes her anxious. Anyway I heard grains are bad for dogs. So I am making her gluten free too.

Love this thank you. I home cook and pretty much this is the type of recipe base i use. Its difficult to find anything other than chicken livers here only occasionally can i get pork when i purchase half a pig. I have used chicker liver 5% but add pork kidney 5% plus i use heart of duck gizzards to cover the potential fall in vitamins of chicken liver. Is what i am doing helping on vitamins or not quite getting there. Your opinion is most valued. Angela from Portugal

Way too complicated, buy lean beef meat, chicken and mix in some vegetables. Cook and serve with sprinkle some of multi vitamins and salmon oil. Costs me $30/ week.

I'm homecooking for 11 y/o blind doxie/lab mix currently 30lbs, (prior to homecooking) I noticed blood in his stool, 1st vet visit no polyps/parasites, moderately elevated liver enzymes, recc. senior food switch - 2nd vet visit - (food seemed to inflame/worsening blood in stool/plus rectal bleeding/straining & mucosa lining popping out? I freaked. Got lab results showed sig. elevated liver enzymes, vet said possible Cushings, dex test reccommend with US imaging. Chose to change diet and it has done wonders. He was a little chunky, but lost wt. Now thinking he's getting a little slim. Added a "homemeade food supplement" Any ideas on this? Trying to meet the balanced profile for senior. His water intake and stool size has decreased. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!! Thx for all your videos, they have helped my dog so much <3

Feed your dogs like animals. It’s only dogs in the US have the same diseases as the people. This guy is throwing meanness all over this video. The nastiest attitude with this guy. I remember for the last 25 years veterinary society said grains were bad for dogs now they completely flipped and now scold you for not using grains. Remember folks, farm dogs are the healthiest because what they eat.

Through the years I’ve heard grainfree diets are best for dogs. I went for many years without a dog and now in the past 2 years I’ve been told by my vet(s) that grain free diets have been linked back to heart problems in dogs. I didn’t see any grains in this diet. What is your opinion?

You are doing an awesome job, I have been following his diet and I also include chicken liver and gizzards in the recipe. I also feed my dog raw frozen 4 pieces of anchovies on a daily basis to supplement her omega acids.

It's frustrating to watch one expert say asparagus, mushroom, garlic, etc are good for the dog. Then another expert will say NEVER let them eat those things. How do we know who to trust?

I understand you knee jerk reaction on this diet as it was missing some organ meats and other nutrients. My issue is that you didn’t tell the general public watching your review on how to “fix” or add certain items that would have made this a more complete diet. We are looking to your expertise in this area to help guide us.

Seasonings: Turmeric, black pepper.

I also don’t agree with the lady’s receipt fully but i doubt her food will cut the dog’s life anymore than if she had just fed kibbles? I buy Lean ground beef, half chicken breast 3 lbs each will feed my dog for a week for about $30 i add a spoonful of rolled oats and fish oil and multivitamin powder with each meal with yes a egg yolk too! Oh and i only use about half of cup of vegetables mixed in but I blend them first. Chicken feet is my goto snacks for my dogs, they are cheap if you have Asian/ Mexican grocery markets.

I want to start cooking my dogs food. I think it'll be more nutritious and it will help them in the long term. Thanks for this video.

Everyone: Look up Dr Andrew Jones holistic and scientific on line veterinarian! He’s Soo good! He will show u how to do simple recipes, and if u want kibble sometimes, he has a list of “quality kibble” Without the trash.. he has home remedies, that the veterinarians hate him for giving out, but is not against traditional medicine when needed! You’ll never go back!!
