" This song is called MÓRI. A song about forbidden love. A sad song where a man slays the woman he loves in a moment of madness in order to save his own life. But I guess you will get more details on the stories behind the songs on the new album later.
This is also one of my favorite songs on the album. I feel like we are exploring territories which we have barely touched previously. The main theme for the song being more rock than metal I guess. It was bit hard to put this song together but once everything fell into place it sounded super good - and undeniably like SKÁLMÖLD.
    Enjoy!"
    Björgvin
    THAT’S the Viking Spirit!
The breathless opener "Ljosid" promises a wild ride, and epic choirs, Björgvin Sigurðsson`s raw vocals and tough riffing immediately provide for the right Viking Metal spirit.
Sorgir, the sixth album by the Icelanders, speaks volumes about the maturity of a band that effortlessly balances between respect for the traditions of Viking Metal and an absolutely unique take on the genre. Soaring melodies, folk elements and harsh outbursts remind of the chilly beauty of Skálmöld`s home country - Iceland, the eternal and awe-inspiring source of inspiration for neckbreakers such as "Gangari" and the gripping epic "Mara."

    ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
Do you remember when you met her first?
    Remarkable news is going around
    The two hostile families
It is forbidden to love the maid
    Strike the cold cheek
    Drive the stone down
    Hard into wavy hair
She will soon be a corpse
    The body becomes blue
    Open wounds bleed
    I possessed your mind
    And looked therein
You two had that little secret place
You two played there but enough about that
I found your cottage in the spring
I watched and dashed between the stones
    I find the beauty
    The comfort when skin rips
    The cliff is high
    Tears fall down
    The body becomes blue
    Open wounds bleed
    I possessed your mind
    And looked therein
    Angry are the voices
They wander around and look there
Móri (The name of the ghost)
    Wake up and be aware
The wind is the background music
    Móri
    Save yourself, farmer´s son
The cliff is your only hope
    Móri
The sea will hide her well
    Your mind is broken
    Móri
Do you remember when you met her first?

It is forbidden to love the maid

Here you go. This is unfortunately only a sub-par translation I put together in only a few minutes. If I would spend more time I could probably make it more cohesive but this will give you the overall idea of what the song is about.
      Móri (male Icelandic name)
Remember when you first met her?
Important is a rumor that travels fast
      The two families were enemies
Forbidden to love the young maiden
      Hit a cold cheek
      Drive the rock
      Hard into flowing hair
      She’ll become a corpse soon
      Body becomes blue
      Open wounds bleed
      Your mind is obsessed
      You looked into there
You had this litle secret place
You played together there but enough about that
I found your hut this autumn
Watched you and creeped between rocks
      I feel the beauty
Relieved as the skin tears apart
      The cliff is high
      Tears fall down
      Body becomes blue

      Your mind is obsessed
      You looked into there
      The voices are angry

I don't speak Old Norse that well but the theme of the video seems to be that these 2 met and fell in love. They are both married and cheating. Someone sees them. The man decides that the only way to save his family the shame is to kill her. In those times marriage wasn't between lovers. Your father decided who you would marry. Fathers would use their daughters for bargaining or to honour a deal. I.e. "I get this part of the land and you get some livestock and my daughter to marry your son."
