Had some time, decided I'd improve Rosa Gudney's english translation:
Sword trembles, expelling slander, peril is all around
Sword trembles, banishing grief, a moment of wars
Fearlessly I swing a sword around
Sweat and blood when I slice them and sting
    Peril is all around me
They want my children, slaves and wife
They want my land, possessions and life
    This moment is between wars.
Sword trembles (ignite hope) children wait
Sword trembles (take to) swords sting
Sword trembles, corpes leaks, night of misdeeds
    Sword trembles, flees the selfish,
    This moment is between wars.
    chorus:
    Draw sword, endure I must
Expensive are weapons of the best make
    Hack three, I flay them
Throw them into Gangáragjá (Ghost chasm)
Slash around, to butcher them wish
Tears then the blade at Draugagil (Ghost chasm as well)
Wear is the weapon's demise, a viking is helplessly run through.
    Living as the evil leave
    I look over their crowd
At the road ahead they stiffly stare
    Heading to the furthest end
There is everything that I knew
My path is strewn by thorns
Once I for my strength admired
Dying I am now alone and dishonored.
    ----------------
    List of changes I made:
    Sword trembles* (better contextual translation)
    banishing grief* (same reason)
a moment of wars*. (wars is supposed to be plural here)
fearlessly swinging a sword around* (significantly better contextual translation)
they want my children, slaves and wife (minor correction removing unused words)
    they
want my land, possessions* and life. (same as above + more direct
translation. Although possessions includes cattle* either way animals is
    not the best word here).
this* moment is* between wars. (missing word + replacing a with this for more accurate context)
    corpse*
leaks* (isntead of dead bodies drip), night of misdeeds* ( a direct
translation would be night of abuses, but misdeeds is a more appropriate
    localization)
flees wolf (as far as I know frekur only means 'selfish' or 'greedy')
    Draw*
sword, endure I must (correcting mistranslation; 'að duga' means to
    last, the phrase here means he 'I must last' or 'I must be enough';
    endure seems an appropriate localization)
expensive are the weapons of best make* (more direct translation than otherwise)
Hack three, I flay them (removed unused word)
Slash* around, to butcher them wish (Word correction, although technically the direct translation would still be hack.)
Tears* then the blade at draugagil (The word used in the song is tears, rather than breaks, more direct translation)
    Wear
is the weapon's demise* (vorregn in this context means wear, not spring
rain although I understand where that idea would come from. 'is the
weapons demise' is just a better translation although 'is too much for
the weapon' would be the simplest direct translation for 'vopni um
    megn')
Viking is helplessly run through. (not gutted, run through. As
for helpless instead of out of ideas. The best translation for it would
    be 'at a loss' though)
Living as the evil leave (by living what
he really means is dying, but not dead, and ljótur usually means ugly
but in this context means evil, cruel or bad.)
I look over the crowd of them (better context)
At the road ahead they stiffly stare (again better context)
Heading to the furthest end. (means they intend to go as far as they possibly can)
My path is strewn by thorns
Once I for my strength admired
dying I am now alone and dishonored.

"At the road ahead they stiffly stare (again better context)
Heading to the furthest end. (means they intend to go as far as they possibly can)"
I realise I am five years late, but... surely the people who "stiffly stare" are corpses on the ground with eyes pointing up to the sky, to their destination (ie. Valhalla)? This also explains how he can look over their "crowd/number" - he is surveying a battlefield full of dead bodies.
If there is a reference to the end of the world (I don't speak Icelandic), I assume it's an allusion to Ragnarök, when the fallen warriors shall do battle once more.

      @Cliff-fishing
Partly true. The word skálmöld can also be found in Völuspá and is there one of the words used to describe the state of the world before Ragnarök.
      From Völuspá:
      Bræður munu berjast
      og að bönum verðast,
      munu systrungar
      sifjum spilla;
      hart er í heimi,
      hórdómur mikill,
      skeggöld, skálmöld,
      skildir eru klofnir,
      vindöld, vargöld,
      áður veröld steypist,
      mun engi maður
      öðrum þyrma.
      Translation:
      Brothers will do battle
      unto the death,
      sons of sisters
      fight their own kin.
      The world has turned harsh,
      great fornication
      an axe-age, a sword-age,
      shields are cleft,
      A storm-age, a wolf-age
      before the world tumbles
      no man will ever
      spare another.

    English translation:
Sword shake, expelling slander, peril is all around
Sword shake, banishing sorrow, a moment of war
Without fear, I swing a sword around
sweat and blood when I slice them and sting
    peril is all around me
They want my children, my slaves and my wife
They want my land, my animals and my life
    A moment between wars.
Sword shake (ignite hope) children wait.
Sword shake (take to) swords sting
Sword shake, dead bodies drip, night of dishonorable deeds
Sword shake, wolf runs away, a moment between wars
    chorus:
Drawn sword, I need to proof myself
    The best weapons are expensive
    Hack three down, flay them
Throw them into Gangáragjá (Ghost chasm)
Hitting, I want to butcher them
Then the blade breaks at Draugagil (Ghost chasm as well)
Spring showers, too much for the weapon, a Viking out of ideas is gutted.
    Alive, the ugly ones go
    I look over their numbers
    They stare stiffly ahead
Aiming for the end of the world
There is everything that I knew
Thorns are strewn over my path
Once I was mighty and admired
Now I die alone and dishonored
    Chorus x2
(It is obviously only roughly translated by myself, it does not reflect the depth and the shade of meaning of the original words used in Icelandic but gives an idea of the general meaning. Enjoy, I did.)

Can anyone suggest a way to keep track of all my favorite artists releases? I care about a great array of viking metal bands, and have no way to keep up! Thanks!!

Winter is Coming! Time to stock up on your supplies, 'cos in a couple months the fjords are going to freeze over, and you won't be able to go a-viking any more...and by January, you'll be glad you've got a ready stash of essential food items and fuel...and fish oil! Don't forget your fish oil, because it helps stave off Seasonal Affective Disorder...

The first one is Skálmöld - Niðavellir
The second one is a song by Wolfheart. I don't know which one though

What? I mean it's only fair for people who don't have time to learn goddamn Celtic. I wouldn't want someone from China to go fuck themselves because they couldn't understand Ride the Lightning or Promethean Kings. I'd give them a translation.

@@flylim8599 Well, i don't understand icelandic of course and i don't want to learn that language but i love Skalmold music and I'd like to know what are they singing. That's no discrimination you fucking idiot.
