Gotta say, man, you are the master at locating them. Hats off.
These past couple of days of cold rainflakes and wind have been brutal and I haven't been out since last week. I did get my order of BBs, so I can't wait to try them, but, it has to get above 40-odd degrees for this old man to get off the couch! That one day when a cold front went through and the wind blew up, and it dropped nearly 30 degrees nearly killed me by the time I got back to the dog park.
Last week I was out behind the treatment plant near Burlington and I could not find a single one in the shallows. I thought for sure that water would be warm enough with enough holes and lay-downs to offer good ambush points. But no luck for me. Not many places deeper than my Hisea Boots.
And , just my kind of luck, every other roadside stop was a bust. Even the old Yanglog, from a few years ago produced nothing on the Fox. (lots of litter there, so it gets pounded pretty hard)
Now that the water is lower I need to bring a net with me to clean up after the litterbugs and crazy people who use way too strong of braid line for

I hooked up a nice white bass at a spot I have never been to or heard about. Just went upstream of where they were last week.
