    Rooster tails are my go to. I used to use a bobber but since going blind I do everything by feel. Enjoyed it as always

      Yes! Sometimes that’s one of the best parts is feeling that bite and setting that hook. Rooster tails are hard to beat.

    I caught 3 of them one right after the other with the little green cricket lure from Walmart a couple months ago.

    On Lake Erie any jig or spinner with red and white on a 3 foot leader attached to a chugger / agitator plug will work off of any pier when they school. Been doing it for 70+ years . Put them on ice and be ready for a feast . 😜

      Dang your making me want to load up and head to the lake right now. That sounds like a blast!

      Sir, do you really like to "feast" on white bass? You should look into fish called Walleye and Yellow Perch. Lake Erie has good numbers of them. They probably two of the three best freshwater fish to eat along with Crappie. White Bass is low on the list.

      @@TBassFactory I just use white curlytail jigs or maribou crappie jigs because there's lots of them in a pack and they're cheap, so you don't curse if you snag and lose one. Catch white bass and everything else on them. Seems like overkill to spend $5 - $6 for a lure just to catch white bass.

    My favorite are those little 1/8 oz tiny Rattle traps, but all are excellent choices. Love white bass fishing!!

    I was schwackin' 'em today with a shad colored Rat-L-trap cast parallel to the bank and almost slow-rolled with an occasional pause. They would just POUND it! I wasn't even fishing for them...I was fishing for largemouth, but they wouldn't leave my lure alone long enough! Hahaha...

    • @TBassFactory
      @TBassFactory  Год назад +1

      @@TBassFactory I did indeed! It was gooood to get the skunk out after my last two winter outings! I usually burn a Rat-L-trap as fast as I can crank it, so it was definitely counterintuitive to use such a slow retrieve...but it got bites!
