the most underrated guitar player of the century. the man has an unbelievable sense of taste
Always loved Woody, awesome guy and very talented. Him, Rod and the Faces were a thing to behold, so much fun and so much talent.
Nobody can lay down a dirtier lick than Woody.
Very rarely will you hear ANY other Guitarist praising Jimmy. The Jealousy is OFF da charts.
Which "Jimmy"?

Paige was a "golden boy",
had connections early on in his life,
he was a highly sought out studio musician because he was up for anything needed, and delivered, as both a stable basic as well as innovative and inventive.
He could fill any spot at a moments notice, a jack of all genre,
he had no problem doing what was needed, he was completely fluid.
He was very smart too, he could work with the politics as well as raise eyebrows.
I don't think anyone was jealous of "him" so much as how he was able to just go with the flow and as I said, the fact he had the upper hand very early on as a young musician within the recording circles.
Older, established musicians really liked him.
Rory Gallagher??. FFSake.
Page not in the same stratosphere as Clapton, shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath.
@@robmorrison1043 Thats hardly a balanced statement. I always found Clapton a bit of a one trick pony, a bit samey every time he plays. Page was generally much more eclectic imo.
Loved the first Jeff Beck album with Ron Wood on bass.
So many people know so little about Ronnie outside of the Stones,
He has been such a well known and loved person in the field, by everyone.
Just a wonderful guy, extremely accomplished, he also has impeccable taste in design, decor, art,
an accomplished artist as well.
So involved in music, writing, producing, promoting, etc..
For anyone interested, who just never knew, I seriously recommend reading up on his life.
I've met him a few times/been around him and he is just a purely, genuinely lovely man.
There isn't a single sole who doesn't light up the moment they see him, and greatly appreciate being a friend/acquaintance.
I didn't know Ron Wood could be good as a stand-up. Good job Ron.
So modest even though he is one of the gifted guitarists. his solo on Maggie may and few other songs is classic. still have the ticket stubs from early 70s at MSG seeing him with Faces it was unbelievable amazing fun show. so much positive energy.
I really like his show on AXS ' It's relaxed,unstructured and appears to be unscripted. I could share a drink with him.

Very underrated player.
I think it's unfortunate Richie Blackmore isn't included with the greats. He's as talented as any one of these guys.
There are so many guys that get missed, Ritchie is one of the glaringly obvious ones though
Because Richie wasn't as prominent in the studio scene at the time, and he wasn't as socially fluid.
He was quiet, shy, and his sense of humor was very dry and offbeat.
He just wasn't a highly sought out studio musician, and he also didn't push for it.
He was still known, and definitely respected, but so we're others who just never really took to the whole scene, it was a lot of "politics" involved industry wise.
He still went on to build his own thing, I wouldn't say he has ever been ignored or "missed" as being labelled a legend,
in fact quite the contrary, he just wasn't in the same club is all.
Most of these gents never really speak of him because they never got to know him that well, other than his stigma which Richie has rather enjoyed.
