man everytime i watch your videos (usually all of them, lol) i'm so jealous of the terrain you have. i love the pnw but the dirt and wet can ruin a good crawl pretty quick, trail running is a lot easier to come by. i'd love to spend a day there with my trx4, 4m, scx6, and would probably build a comp crawler so i could keep up with you haha
3 weeks ago I decided to donate my RC aircraft collection and buy a truck, the Redcat Ascent. Too many problems with their suspension & HH. Cancelled the order and walked into local hobby shop to buy the silver VRD Stance. Don't care for VT-1 transmitter tuning so I ordered an. Injura 6ch with a Hobbywing 1080 G2. Live in SLC an need to learn the crawling spots. You helped me, Logan. You helped me decide on this truck. Thanx
I have watched a good number of videos on this rtr and your channel is the first one to state the size of the tires. While I am not in the market for a comp truck and in Australia we don’t have a big comp scene it’s good to confirm my suspicions those kit tires are legal for “world “rules . Not something suitable for a group walk ether in my town. Thanks for passing on information. Cheers.
Super impressive. I haven’t gone back to work yet but if i were this would be in the mail already. 😂. Once the funds are back in order it’s either this or the carbon vrd. More likely this. It will be my first tenth scale. I’ve been really interested in the redcat ascent but I more likely leaning into the vanquish lineup.
Vanquish are hitting it out of the park with this RTR. Also think wheels and tires are the first thing people want to change for the look or performance of their rigs and maybe the servo unless you wait until it ghosts you. Great video as usual thanks for posting 🤙🏻🍻
You really make me wanna move west my man!! Your trails are ridiculous! You have the best practice terrain I’ve ever seen. We sure don’t have it in Pittsburgh! This is Utah right?
I did the mousetrap trail with my scx10 iii gladiator but I think the longer wheelbase and the digger helped me a bit and i have more mods. But i forgot to do the first sidehill and idk if my longer wheelbase would help but I did make it wider by 5 milimeters and i have the hobbywing fusion se as well😅
I like your driving style, the incredible landscape and the four leg drive dog, far easier on the red rocks than every rigs you play with.😊 So, Ascent or Stance ? Which RTR would you keep ?
New subscriber just wanted say first excellent video of the best rtr I've seen.. I'm waiting to get one myself could I get the name and size of the tires you running I'd like to get me a set of those for my rig they look and perform great.. 🤙🏼✌🏼
Bent my lower link because my front end was wedged and rear wheel was jammed in a crack. The torque went to its weakest point which was the link. Bent it back and threw it back on, works fine again 🤌🏾
I think I’d honestly rather build the kit with more options and better upgrades included. Just my opinion. The electronics would be replaced immediately anyway 🤷🏻♂️ Great video as per usual.
I think vanquish should have run straight axle on this RTR……little more different than the Carbon set up and for those guys not wanting portals…..awesome rig tho. Thankfully I already have a modded carbon so I’m in no need for another…😅

Yeah. Imagine not realizing S. Tx sucks ass before you move. 😂😢
Plenty of lava flows here in Central oregon to crawl

Vanquish did a great thing here introducing this kit. Their most capable rtr out of the box thus far.

The places you crawl are awesome! I might bring out a battery powered leaf blower to clear some of those sections tho.

Great Video. I just purchased my first crawler.
Why don't you like the softer compound tires? The predator compound from proline.

RTRs have gotten crazy, this is so capable out of the box
Thanks for the break down.👍
Hey Logan nice video and explanation have you ever ran the shocks upside down to help lower the center of gravity? Did it work? Or not worth it?
I am hooked on the squid inserts since you recommended them. Just ordered my 5th set.
Me too man I think I have 3 sets and one set of flubber stuffers which are excellent but price keeps climbing of course
Element Ecto is also very very nice! A bit cheaper, so you have a bit money left for some minor tuning/tweaking.
I didn’t catch which pro line tire you were running love the vid love your style & calm nature in
Life thank you 🙏
Sickest terrain so jelly! Haha
Totally awesome driving & video, I do learn a lot from watching you 👍
You really make me wanna move west my man!! Your trails are ridiculous! You have the best practice terrain I’ve ever seen. We sure don’t have it in Pittsburgh! This is Utah right?
Yes this is Utah

Please recommend a 4 wheel steering and dig brake model!!!
What do you think about putting a fusion se in this rig??
I like your driving style, the incredible landscape and the four leg drive dog, far easier on the red rocks than every rigs you play with.😊
So, Ascent or Stance ? Which RTR would you keep ?
Stance is a better performer but also costs more if that makes the difference to the purchaser
Other than the sizing, do you like the vxt2 tires? Performs pretty good compared to Krawlers or Tusks?
How much Weight your beadlocks ?

Love the reviews! Where can I get that sticker of the stick figure crawler on the back window?
It comes as part of the truck. It’s Vanquish “stance” driver. They also have some on sticker sheets
So krawler vs a flat iron xl. Xl looks to have the same tread but siped. That’s a crazy cable rtr.
They’re very similar tread yes
Awesome drive bud but it looks like the tires were too hard but it could just be on the video hehe
The real question is: is it $200 better than the Red Cat Ascent? How about a comparo with that RTR, and then one with $200 worth of upgrades?
Okay so VS4-10 Phoenix Falcon RTR or this
Mine is on its way.
Do you have to use Vanquish wheels or will most 1.9 wheels work?
Other wheels will certainly work. You will need to find wheels that will clear portals
@@westdesertwheeler do you have to use different hubs on the wheels?
Bent my lower link because my front end was wedged and rear wheel was jammed in a crack. The torque went to its weakest point which was the link. Bent it back and threw it back on, works fine again 🤌🏾
do you think a fusion SE would fit in there? i saw the review video but its hard to figure out XD
Yes the fusion pro and SE fit the VFD
Sure will
So u didn’t even touch the shock oil?
I haven’t yet. Box stock to see what it will do
I think I’d honestly rather build the kit with more options and better upgrades included. Just my opinion. The electronics would be replaced immediately anyway 🤷🏻♂️
Great video as per usual.
Be honest about the tires. They’re simply too soft for your liking lol!
If the tusks are too soft. Vxt2 are definitely too soft
I took them off for the exact reason I said.
Is it me or was there something that was clicking on the truck?
Normal vanquish rtr sound
I think vanquish should have run straight axle on this RTR……little more different than the Carbon set up and for those guys not wanting portals…..awesome rig tho. Thankfully I already have a modded carbon so I’m in no need for another…😅
Portals sell trucks I think they did it right
And can I get mine with an el camino body!!!!!!
24 hour hellnback, have you seen??? Full size, 24 houre straight!!!
Is it me, or is Sydney getting a little thicker?
Whoa whoa she is a lady you can’t say things like that.
Sad these are 50% more expensive here in Europe. Most are…
I understand their reason for the rtr but for most of us that like to upgrade our trucks we would be better off with the carbon kit.
