Don't get me wrong, I love animals. But it just cracks me up how excited people get when they see deer, antelope, and buffalo. I see these animals almost on a daily bases. Except the buffalo, but I only have to drive like 20 miles east of where I live and BAM buffalos!!! I live in Wyoming, very popular for tourist. Anyways, love your guy's videos, can't stop watching. I plan on taking a road trip around the U.S. in a couple of years, can't wait!!!!
We were in Italy once and got excited about a cow on a mountain! We were like "why are we excited about a COW? They are everywhere in Texas!" 😂 I think it's just extra exciting to see things in the wild vs. on a farm or something hahaha. We absolutely love Wyoming, such a beautiful state!

Just great scenery interlaced with solid information and describing your experience. I have been binging a bunch of your videos since discovering your channel very recently. I was glad to see you have been to the Great Salt Lake. We are planning on hitting Yellowstone and Grand Teton next year and will be passing through Salt Lake City. It is a bucket list item for me too to swim in it but I have read as well that it has some strong downsides. I am glad to see it wasn’t a miserable experience. Oh and that wind out west just hits different. We are on the east coast and recently took a trip to see the parks in NM/TX. We camped in Guadalupe Mountains for four nights. It was just sustained 30-40 mph winds with gusts up to 85 mph every dang day. Crazy!
We had heard how gross it was and while it didn't smell great and there were some flies, the experience was just so much fun for us! Maybe not everyone would agree, but since we have no idea when we will make it to the Dead Sea, it was worth a VERY quick float lol! The wind in Utah is GNARLY! We struggled with wind so badly when in Southern Utah this past trip. Those gusts in Guadalupe Mountains are insane! The northern Texas area has some of the craziest wind!
It's been so fun to see your videos in Utah! I live in St. George, UT now and absolutely love it here..but we lived all over the Salt Lake Valley, as well as north and south of it for most of our marriage. Glad you guys have enjoyed yourselves here. If you haven't been to southern Utah (St. George, Arches, Zions, Bryce) it's all a must!
We drove through St. George on our way to Zion a couple years ago and had some AMAZING tacos at La Cocina Mexican Street Food! This was pre-vlogging days so we are dying to go back to Zion and Bryce and film them! Utah is such an awesome state and we definitely will be back 🙌🏼
I just love to watch your travel videos! Ron are leaving Honolulu tomorrow, and will start our 5 National Parks hiking adventure in Salt Lake City and 6 different states. We are staying in SLC just for a day and don't have time to explore the Great Salt Lake and Bonneville Salt Flats like you did, however we just lived vicariously through your video! What a fun video guys. You really put yourselves out there. So glad they had washing stations for ya. Kathryn’s black and white striped tank was doing some crazy stuff on camera. My old production crews would never let us wear them for that reason. The wind was insane at the salt flats, but at least Kona had a blast. Looking forward to the next one. Take care and stay safe.

Ah yes, you gotta explore Salt Lake! We have driven through Moab a few times, but never have been able to fully explore for one reason or another. But from what we have seen it looks amazing!
At the north end of the Great Salt Lake, there's a piece of art called the Spiral Jetty. It is so way cool. I wish I could post a picture here. Anyhoo, it's also by where they drove the golden spike for the Continental railroad. It's pretty cool to see the trains. Also, a bike ride across the causeway to antelope Island is an amazing thing. Just amazing.

The salt levels are falling in the Great Salt Lake, also, the lake is drying up and they don't know if it will recover, ever. So I'm happy you got to go.
Sadly and not to mention the dried up brine in the great salt lake will become an arsonic toxic dust bowl for that valley. I grew up there and its such a beautiful state, north and south. Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for reasonably priced flights to Jordan at the moment, but given the distance from the UK, they're incredibly expensive. (I book flights as soon as they're released as I'm tied to school holidays so always pay a premium. I really REALLY hope a year from now I'd be free to travel a little further than just Western Europe *crosses fingers*) It seems a lot easier to find cheap flights to the US so I bet I make it to SLC to go floating first! 🌊 Thanks again for a beautiful video!

Loved the hike but glad you did it and not me. lol Not a fan of sagebrush and open spaces and the no-seeums! We got to "no" them when we lived in Panama! Had no idea what was eating my legs up! They were so eaten up and they itched SO bad! Found out it was the no-seeums, so I ended up wearing jeans for the majority of the time in Panama. Thanks for the tour of the Great Salt Lake!

I was surprised that you didn't see any bison, around October every year, there's a roundup of 600-700 towards pens to vaccinate them and people can rent horses to join in the drive.

My favorite thing to do on the salt flats is to walk way out there barefoot. Amazing salt scrub, not to mention a mega dose of magnesium thru the soles of your feet.

Also, sunsets out on the flats are spectacular. The mountains in the distance are just stunning when the sun goes down.

I grew up in Layton. Its a very stinky lake. No fish. Just brine shrimp. Still a beautiful place and unique i guess.
