Can’t beat hot springs! I’m always down for that. We just went to Glenwood Springs vacationing here in Colorado from Texas and I still smell like Sulphur!
Such a beautiful state...just jaw dropping! I loved this vlog and look so forward to watching each and every one! You should market the chips and syrup combo! 😝
Wow you had the whole hot spring to yourselves! We tried one for the first time in Wyoming and it amazed us that it seriously gets freaking hot! Beautiful scenery out West. Chips and syrup? 🤣 Not sure about that one but we'll take your word for it. Haha!
We were soooo pumped to have it to ourselves! We were also pretty shocked that no one else showed up for a while. The first feeling of the hot spring is so exciting-nature is sooo cool! And you’ll have to try the chip thing in the future...it’s weird but tasty! 🤣
Loved watching this video. ❤️ Throughout the whole thing I was thinking to myself, 'this reminds me so much of Wyoming, particularly the mountains/lakes of the Tetons 🌄 and the hot springs are like Boiling River in Yellowstone 💦', then at the end end you guys said the same thing! 👍Great minds eh?! It seems like the main difference is the lack of crowds. When I watched your Yellowstone video, I thought it was a shame that you didn't go to the boiling river but there were so many people there when I visited it, yet you guys had Kirkham springs to yourself! As for the tongue in cheek comment about the fashion sense, I love that you guys are sensible with your clothing choices. I was watching another vlog the other day where a couple were hiking in the mountains, one in some fashionable leather sandals and the other in a pair of Crocs. 😖 It was so unnerving!! I know you guys like Kara and Nate (like me) so I don't want to down-talk them too much, but I honestly think your content at the moment is considerably better/more interesting/entertaining than theirs at the moment. I was really busy yesterday so had all the Sunday travel Vlog uploads to choose from this morning and I picked you guys first. 🙌
Hahaha great minds Caroline! And to be honest I don’t think we knew much about the boiling river a year ago, but we definitely will check that out next time because as Adam says, we get the hype now! The lack of crowds in Idaho was amazing and really made us love it even more. Sure, some areas were busier, but overall it just felt so much more secluded. Be careful praising our shoe choices too much before watching our Rainier vlog (in a week) where we make a dumb choice 😂😂 And thank you so much for choosing to watch our vlog 🥰 we really, really appreciate it!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I can't imagine the shoe choice would have been worse than crocs! 🤣 (... and in a couple of video's time you're going to prove me wrong 😖 ) If/when you go back to Yellowstone, I'd recommend visiting the Lamar Valley either first thing in the morning or in the evening as the wildlife for us at those times had more variety... we saw a handful of bears too. There's also the Firehole Swimming area which despite its name is a cold river, but a lot of fun. If you go in, a bit further up where the rocks are, the current is akin to a lazy river at a water park and you drift through the gorge into the open 'swimming' section. I wasn't sure if you guys were heading west into Washington or north east to Glacier next... but Mt. Rainier should make for a good video regardless of the footwear situation, that place was stunning when I visited it ❤️ You guys are too awesome... thanking me for choosing your video 1st. I have it easy, I just click play. Thank YOU for making these and continuing to inspire my future travels and bringing me nostalgia showing me your experiences in places I've been to 😊
Thankfully we only made poor decisions for one part of the vlog and we will never own Crocs lol (Chacos on the other hand we LOVE!). We are in WA now and heading to Glacier in a few weeks-we can't wait! We wish we had time to make it back down to Yellowstone because we would loooove to go check out those swimming areas. But we plan to get back there eventually! Oh and as for bears, I may or may not have seen my first one, but that's a story we shall tell on some vlog in the future!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Ooooh I can't wait for the bear vlog... now curious to know if it was a grizz or a black bear - I've only ever seen black bears! (But I shall wait patiently - no spoilers lol). Now I'm second guessing your plans. If you're not going south after Glacier and you've come from the west, the Canadian border is closed (I think) you guys must be heading into North, or maybe South Dakota?
Wow is a great way to describe it! 😱 We typically do wear them for a bit and thankfully have never had a kayak flip, but we will try to be more cautious in the future 😊
And so they built the life they loved. Love your videos. We recently been to jerry Johnson hot springs in Idaho. You guys should check it out if you are back in Idaho.

I hate to break it to you guys, but I found Adam’s hot spring spot, and well…um…it’s mine now;) I didn’t see it in your video, but there was a hot spring waterfall flowing today, and it was freaking amazing. Like you said, I could have stayed there all day. Honestly, if I didn’t worry about burning under the sun, I literally would have. That place was freaking amazing!

@@AdventuresofAplusK thank you for replying. I am researching ideas to be a weekend traveler with my dog I am looking at the ford transit connect. Love your van build.
Ah fun!!! We need to write up a blog post about traveling with a dog. It has been a very popular question lately! Thankfully the van (since it’s insulated) with the windows covered, curtain up, and fan on stays sooo much cooler than a car, which makes it easier to travel with a dog since they can’t always do things with you.
We have the MaxxAir, but also have a small fan we plug in as well. Ventilation is key, so having the t-vent windows helps a lot with air flow, but we don’t typically leave it open when we are not in the van for safety reasons.
We find most of our free campsites on Campendium and iOverlander. This guide on our website shares more about how we find free camping in the US adventuresofaplusk.com/how-to-find-free-camping-in-the-usa Thanks and thanks for watching!
What a beautiful kayaking trip. Those mountains are so awesome! Quick question, on the backpacking trip you pointed to a Mt and said it Mt Capitain, isn't that in Yosemite? I'm so confused.
While you were at the hot springs, where did you leave Kona. I’m asking because my wife and I have been wanting to go to these places without hurting our doggo
That’s a very popular question lately! She stays in the van. Our situation is different since the van stays a lot cooler than a car since it’s insulated. We cover all of the windows with reflectix, put a blackout curtain up, and leave a fan on for her (and water). We chase good weather so we can keep her safe and also do things super early so it’s cool enough out.
