Not to be picky but the banjo guy at 10:05 said that Pearl Harbor was in 1945, also the calendar started at 1946 to the 50s and said that its world war 2? Wasn’t Pearl Harbor in 1941? And the war ended in 1945?
That guy wouldnt even let Pete talk. Everytime Peter tried to talk the guy would talk over him. I know people usually do that when things are hot. Not saying they are but just seems strange to me.

i.m sure this guys hurting but....go to an estate sale, shop any weekend, drive any work day, attend an auction, recession? inflation? lines are out the door at estate sale & bozos are paying a premium for it. auction prices are untouchable, stores are packed, highways are jammed. gas prices go nuts & we only drive bigger svu's. there will always be those who have enough cash to bail out the government & those who need help, but they've been talking recession for a loooooooooong time but there's no sign of it &... I am not cut out for selling stuff. I had a van, this was a couple weeks ago and used car guy said he would pay $6500, it sells for $13000. I found a family of 7, 4 kids long term foster care, sold it for $6k. To be honest that was so my wife wouldn't kill me. I give away cars and guitars.

You could see how humbled and uncomfortable this got was being in a bad position and having to trade things for pieces of paper. But yeah that guy was super cool.

Don't feel bad, he's selling the mid tier & lower tier parts of his collections. Any musician knows this is a good show he put on. He may be having a hard time but ask if he;s got a Martin and he'll say : Hell no Im not selling that. The most impressive instrument he had was just ignored .

I have pretty good sense of humanity and wasn't going after that angle. They are both nice cool guys, especially Peter. What I'm saying guy says he JUST watched his videos yesterday and pretty much sensed he'd be able to get money from Pete over other places that would have PASSED on everything or low balled. No items he bought are fast turn around. If he had a Fender '67 Mustang come out of that case....he'd have gotten about 2,000-3,000. Fixed all his bills in one shot. Perspective is all. He says he's not selling "the sentimental or good shit" without saying this ain't my good shit. Peter is also know with his vidjo's to have super heavy heart strings that can be pulled to gain a bit of leverage. My rhetoric wasn't trying to be foul but maybe came across as that when I said "he put on a good show". ....There's a reason they call that back and forth negotiating a dance. Pete I put a bunch of metal signs out on the garage a few years ago and they all faded really bad, you might want to look into spray coating them with UV protection to help them last a bit longer.

It is sad in the real world because people have so many memories back in the day and they have to give up on their personal belongings to pay for the high cost of living for no reason. It sucks. This is probably a really good video to see the people what they are dealing with everyday. I learn from this. Keep up the great work Pete. The books are really cool. I think that good idea and fair.

I own that same hat as the Mexican dude. Bought it at a hat shop near the Beach in Ventura. Best hat I've ever owned. ....All those beautiful instruments sold off to pay a power bill; that is heartbreaking. Look at the joy the guy brings to everyone at the end when he's playing and singing.
DUDE at 850$ he will make double his money for sure. How many instruments were there. Even if he sells them all for 100$. he made 800$. and some were great shape. But business is business. i get it.
