This video was such a feel good video, it’s so fun to watch when your regulars come in and they are realistic about prices and understand you’ve got to make a buck to. It just gives me hope that good decent people are still out there.
Good decent people? It’s a friggin pawn shop, you see what he shows you, for the most part it’s desperate people bringing their only valuables in hoping to get decent money & only getting ripped off because they’re so desperate, more than likely for drugs, alcohol, food Pawn Shops aren’t nice places, they’re desperate places
A buck to thats a ripoff he has to earn money but 25 dollars for an elvis jacket is way to cheap and 125 for the old one is way cheaper he has to realize these things sell for way more money so he has to fair asswell to his customers not only think about his own profits
Stewart is an amazing source for your shop. He brings in interesting, vintage items that are highly desirable. I had a Donald cap similar to the one he brought in, and yes, it does squeak when you squeeze the bill. The Snoopy collection should also be easy to sell. He still has a huge following. If you list that one with the nut shell filling, make sure you clearly mention the nuts in case someone is allergic (I'm sure you already knew that lol). Keep up the great content Pete!
You’re easily misled by a foreign accent. I can tell I was raised within 20 miles of this chap in the south east of England and we wouldnt want him back. Crass, poorly educated, rude. Sadly, our accent carries us a long was in the states, so we ofload wasters like this chap onto you.
Context is a strange thing. Here in London I am literally surrounded by people like this guy. Every single day in any flea market or car boot sale there are hundreds of people like him looking to flog crap as gold but for some reason in this context and because he's in the states it makes it seem entertaining.😆 Did he get that stuff out the back of a yellow three wheel Reliant Robin?🤔😅
It would be funny if you and Stewart pranked customers by negotiating a million dollar deal in front of them. It could be over something random, like a power drill. "I can do 500,000, but that's as far as I'm going to go."
Hey Pete. Thank you for all the education over the years it was good seeing Adrien again on the other video. I had a something from Amazon delivered to the shop on Jan. 7th. It was addressed to C/O Pete Craigslist Hunter for Adrien. It was a small token of appreciation. Here is hoping that he doesn't get "Castaway". Thanks again Pete.
You really meet some interesting folks, Pete! What fun. I wish I was close enough to bring stuff in. I have decades of antiques collected, but I live too far in the boonies to have anyone come here. I used to sell on eBay, but I only go to town @ 3 times a month and the P.O. is 30 mile round trip. Can't ship from home because I can't get delivery to my house. My mailbox is 3 miles away, takes me 45 minutes to go get the mail because the road is horrible. I'm thinking of putting together wholesale lots to sell on eBay to resellers, like the "junk drawer" lots. That way, I can get rid of lots of smalls at once, make a little money, and the buyer can make lots more by selling per piece. Just not cost-effective for me to do that.
Just an idea- state on your eBay that you only do the sending things out once a week or every two weeks, that way you can load your car with a bunch of orders every time instead of doing them separately. And do your research on each item! 😆 You never know, something could be worth alot of $$. Have fun whatever your choice is to do. 😀😀
Apart from yourself, how many permanent staff work in your shop ? I live in Glasgow, Scotland and enjoy watching your interaction with customers, and watching their body language to see if they`re trying to get one over on you by selling dodgy goods. I`d like to send you some mugs with the Scottish flag if i can find some. Let me know how many work i the shop. You can fly the flag for Scotland.

He was the one who helped Elvis through the news of his mom, being the first chaplain to become a brigadier general. They were best friends after that. He gave a few photos to Fort Knox when wewent for the Easter basket blessing and gave the remainder to us. Along with some signed letters. I’ll have to stop in one day
Grad Night sounds right, but it's more likely from Knott's Berry Farm since Snoopy is the main character there. "Peanuts" is one of the very few things Disney doesn't own, yet. Should have a small woven tag sewn into a leg seam, unless it was cut off. I'm always happy to find those little tags! I bought a Dino the dinosaur (Flintstones) from a thrift store for 25 cents once that had the tag with the date, 1962! I got a little over $50 for that stuffed toy. WooHoo!
If you wanted $4 million for something, would you not rather go to Christie's Auction House? Surely a buy and sell store does not have 4 mill to spare.
