“Look, you have to make mistakes. That's how you learn and that's how the world works.” -Naomi Campbell.. watch “Tyra Banks - how the most loved model quickly became the most hated!” NEXT

After reading the book ‘Model’ I realized the whole modeling industry is a front for human trafficking.

  • @pearlsofwisdom2006

She may had been a victim, but I believe she also helped make victims.

I can only imagine what Naomi endured in that industry as a black woman. The gaslighting I experience walking in my shoes is triggering, let alone Naomi. Incredibly strong character she has had to develop

It’s hard for me to give grace to individuals who mistreat service workers and their employees. It’s a huge red flag. Sorry your mom wasn’t there, but that doesn’t mean you can hit your poor housekeeper.

people give naomi campbell a LOT of grace. she has done horrible things over and over, and people let it go because they think she’s pretty

I remember baby-sitting; i was showing the child @ magazine and the cover was Naomi. I said isn't she beautiful - this 5yo responded, she can't be beautiful she's black. I was shocked, I couldn't believe anyone that young would have that type of idea imbedded. I explained exactly why I thought she was beautiful and never sat for that family again.

Being on those flight logs is a crime. Sorry. I loved her too. Maybe she was being blackmailed but she was definitely involved in the trafficking of young girls. There are many celebrities who we loved and now see the ugly under belly of Hollywood and Entertainment. Once is a mistake, several times says you're involved. What they did on that island was horrendous. Jay Z and Beyonce went many times as well. Sad but this is only the beginning of the nightmare that's about to come out into the open!

One of the victims named her specifically, just because she’s a black woman doesn’t mean she’s incapable of harming people.

Most of Hollywood A listers and top models did shady stuff to get to the top.

The way she explains seeing red when someone doesn't get her what she wants when she wants..that sounds like narcissistic rage. Her feelings of entitlement makes her have tantrums like a child.

Naomi in her profession is fantastic! However she was a victim but she cannot continue to play that victim card as an excuse for her crimes and continued associations. It is what it is.

  • @KDbelieves

Huge fan of Naomi for her talent and fierceness, but the truth is she isn't a good person. Just because she was a victim doesn't excuse her shitty behavior as she keeps making more victims.

  • @morlyndorestant4409

This is a humanizing portrait of Naomi. No doubt she has been vilified like many other Black women in positions of power. As you stated, her industry raised her and molded her.❤

My daughter wanted to be a model. She graduated from modeling school and immediately got very sick with MS. From the sounds of it MS may have saved her from a life of slavery.😮

  • @michaeld.williamsiii9026

As much as I like Naomi as a super-model here and there. She’s incredibly gorgeous and has broken many barriers along with being iconic however… I don’t feel she was a “nice person” nor feel she’s fully innocent. All the lashing out assaults addictions issues she has had past tense and so forth. People put these celebrities constantly on a pedestal as they can do no wrong. Or they’re above or beyond reproach regardless wrong is wrong.

Of Naomi Campbell's Father (possibly Chinese) - Naomi Campbell's rich heritage comprises Afro-Jamaican and Chinese-Jamaican roots. The Chinese lineage stems from her paternal grandmother, whose surname was Ming. This diverse heritage has contributed to Campbell's unique and striking appearance, adding to her allure in the fashion industry.

    She was on that ISLAND

I had the opportunity to dress Naomi Campbell a few times (Bill Blass & Donna Karan) at the tents during the years I worked with the Ground Crew. She was very sweet and respectful. There were other models who weren’t as gracious. This is understandable when you have many hands touching your face, body, being told to put this on, take that off - it’s a lot for anyone going through the process of being fashioned. Take into consideration, these are very young women during the height of their modeling careers. I’ve literally had model say, “don’t touch me”, after being poked and prodded time after time during the course of fashion week. To honor this request would have been extremely difficult, since the clothes must hit the runway, and they are being paid to model them. And never underestimate she is a black girl in this billion-dollar game. Put all of this on top of all their personal issues. I like her a great deal for her humble sense of being.
