I think the Vincent Van Gogh scene has to be one of the most moving scenes in all of Doctor Who history. I'd go as far to say it's one of the most beautiful scenes to ever come from television. Truly amazing.

Severly underrated, the style and sense of magic in this season transformed Doctor who, it didn’t attempt to replicate previous series, it chose to recognise them and build its own universe. And it must be said, the tardis crew is the best its been here, matt smith (favourite doctor) Karen, Arthur and Alex Kingston.
Full of flaws, but well worth the journey.

@@teogaming7515 I agree that it is on life support right now, but it can be resurrected with the right man/woman at the helm. It all falls on RTD now. Is he going to go back to traditional ideas or is he going to perpetuate the woke BS we were forced to endure under the late Capaldi era and the Whitaker era or can we move on from this woke BS?

Since ‘08 all media has been declining, the zeitgeist (tipping point, more noticeable) 2010, decaying every year (odd spike in quality 2016)
Coincidentally, the agreed upon best moments of the show were among the earliest (08, maybe a 10, but no further), and a 2016 episode

There are some times she was much worse but it wasn’t always horrid
Rory is so underrated he saved Amy 3 times throughout all of series 5 6 and 7. He even saved the doctor and died like 4 times. We need more appreciation for Rory🙌🏽

I honestly didn’t think I was going to like Matt Smith after being so upset over 10’s regeneration but as soon as I heard “can I have an apple?” in the eleventh hour I changed my mind
I actually liked his regeneration quite alot, he got too attached and his hasty regeneration resulted in a scatterbrained doctor.
as soon as he walked into that tree and was like “the steering’s a bit off” i was lowkey sold 😂😂

Season 5 was absolutely incredible, what an introduction to Matt Smith's Doctor. After David, it was a tough act to follow but he nailed it. The story arc in this season was brilliant too. Ah, the good old days ❤️

The Eleventh hour is the most iconic episode I've ever watched in Doctor Who , its like the best movie ever for me.
Series 5 Doctor Who is one of the best series that has ever been made in Doctor Who history but unfortunately that's just my opinion I remember seeing the first episode of the eleventh doctor that was right after I came back from Legoland
It was great, problem was it had alot to live up too since the past 4 seasons were brilliant.
Everyone has 'their' Doctor. Everyone's Doctor is the best of them all. Nobody is wrong. It's just how it works.
Every Who season has its flaws. None are perfect. But even the weakest season has people who will point to it and say 'That's where I got on board. That's MY Doctor, right there.'

@@EternalPayne and it did imo, I loved the couple of finale episodes like The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang. Connecting all the of the previous episodes together, and I really enjoyed the back and forth time jumping stuff gradually explaining everything. Just incredible for me
It's a shame the rest of 11s era was never quite as good. Not to say it was bad, series 6 has plenty of great episodes, some of which are among my favourites of the whole show, and series 7... had a couple episodes I liked, but they both failed to live up to how great series 5 was.
Fortunately Capadis era was much more consistent imo (though some may disagree).
"This isn't going to be big on dignity." That line is so much fun.
Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor from the modern era of Doctor Who. The Eleventh Hour was a brilliant first episode for him.

Honestly that Lodger scene is one of my favourite scenes of Doctor who, the way he's like "of course it's a lie" and Craig just full sends it

I still think Series 5 is the best series, at least from New Who. It was beautifully written and we got Matt Smith, who became my favorite Doctor very quickly. 11 and the Ponds is my favorite era from the show.

Like many others this was my first series. And it felt like a fairytale, always does when rewatching. Also, the Paradigm are awesome!

I remember first getting involved in dr who in series 5. Tenant might be the best in terms of drama but honestly nothing beats the comedy of Matt smith

Honestly, I started watching Doctor Who for the first time this year (starting with the 9th Doctor) and coming off of Series 4 (a masterpiece of TV in my opinion), Series 5 was so damn good as well, funniest thing I've seen in ages while also bringing me to tears at points, and coming off of David Tennant's run, that's some serious praise.
Loved 9, 10, 11 and 12.

My 1st Doctor and I loved it.
At 15:20, do you ever wonder why the angels move slowly, like they can almost move but are still stone from something viewing them? But no one is watching them

Maybe they move slowly because they're being watched by someone from another universe and the effects of their defense mechanism is weaker but not null in that case.
I was never a fan of the Science fantasy magical fairy tale approach Moffat took as apposed to the more dark and adult Sci-fi of RTD, but looking back, Matt really was the heart and soul.

The slight smile he gave her in response, to me, says "You really DON'T want to know....."

I miss Karen Gillan in Doctor Who. 😭 My favourite episodes from Series 5 was The Eleventh Hour. Amy's Choice and The Pandorica Opens. 2:06 LOL 😆 24:24 - 24:26 Good acting by Matt Smith and Karen Gillan. Series 5 was an average season. I missed David Tennant. But, it introduced me to Karen Gillan whom won my heart. 😍💕and I got to meet her in person in 2015. A friend talked to me about the Series 5 finale "The Big Bang" on Facebook and she said she found it too confusing. I really want Karen Gillan to come back for the 60th Anniversary along with Alex Kingston. Karen Gillan is a brilliant actress.

No one calls the character “Doctor Who”, they’re called “The Doctor”. He/she has held a gun, numerous times in Classic Who and it’s not “badass” seeing a hero (especially, one like the Doctor) hold a weapon that kills.
