    Never seen such a complete informative video on anything like this. Really a wonderful person he is and very much kind enough to help the humanity. I wish this man be in a high position soon to help fellow human beings. 👍

    Great video! I was always taught to "crack" the bolts loose before jacking the car up (for safety) but loved the rest! Thx!

      Makes sense for cars that don’t have AWD because they will spin, but I think this one is AWD

    This was helpful! I don’t think AAA filled the spare tire for my Q8 enough.

    Thanks buddy , your video is a life saver , got my first flat after running just 200kms and your video prevented me from messing things up , PS in Pakistan , the alligator clip is kept in front - now the only thing left is how to put the tool box back , forgot to take a photo when taking things out :)

    From other vids, I think you need to inflate with the Audi inflator. More powerful inflators can result in unequal tire inflation ( tread seems to align with a side versus being centered). Thanks for the vid. Should be required viewing for Audi owners to prevent surprises.

    Interesting. But I think a spare wheel which doesn't come pre inflated makes even less sense than a tire repair kit.

    Great video, on my 2023 VW ID.4 it doesn’t have a spare,and I already got my first flat that ruined the tire, do you know where I can buy the collapsible spare tire for it?
    Thank you in advance.

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  2 месяца назад

      Probably the dealership, but perhaps a non collapsible spare can fit. Junkyard or Facebook Marketplace might have one.

    If your car came equipped with anti-theft bolts, the tool (and the 4 standard bolts that got replaced by the anti-theft ones) are in a grey plastic box in the frunk. There’s usually another alligator clip in there.

  • @adalba7702

    I think the spare should be placed on the front axle only. So in such case you would have to replace one of the front tires with the spare, and then take that front tire and swap it with the flat tire on the rear.

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  Месяц назад

      @adalba7702 No, you want the wider more load baring tire in the front.

    Always make sure to have a flat on the Audi when you are not in a hurry to get somewhere. What a ridiculously convoluted, time-consuming process!

    You missed a step, bud. Because the Etron is AWD, the AWD needs to be disabled and put into FWD. Says it in your manual. If you have a spare tire on your Etron and you do not disable the AWD, you will destroy your AWD drive train. To disable the AWD, a fuse has to be replaced with a spare tire fuse. That is why I watched this video. Hoping to watch where this fuse is and replaced.
    So in this case, since a spare tire fuse was not used, the car needs to be towed anyway.

    I would not recommend torquing the bolts off or on while the car is raised. These roadside jacks are flimsy.

      Thanks, but unfortunately, needle nose pliers will scratch the wheel because of the angle of the pliers. I have tried it all. Pliers, screwdrivers, the little metal curly q looking tool that sometimes cones with Euro cars. Nothing will work without scratching except the black alligator tool. Thanks for watching as always. Much appreciated.

    How will a workshop be able to change wheels for you on this car with a custom jack + a custom tool to even take out the bolt covers :o

    • @roadsideguy5902

      I replaced the wheels and tires on my ETRON as soon as a got it. The shop used hydraulic hand jacks with spacers on the lift points. Worked fine. Do recommend using the tire change mode and don't forget to reset the TPMS

      If you see a shop try to use the car jack, run. Far, and fast. For any car, that is.

      theres a little accessory you can buy that can be placed on the jack so that it fits into the e-tron spots

    Can you use a floor jack on those lifting points or do you have to use the factory jack to avoid damage?

    what about meeting the correct torque in ft-lbs?

    • @roadsideguy5902
      @roadsideguy5902  Год назад +1

      Does the factory supply a factory torque wrench? As long as you have it as tight as a human can tighten it you will be just fine. If using an impact make sure to not over tighten.
