    Ive jus used phillips head tek (lath self drilling screws with the washer head) those clips for the pouches to many things and none have fell off. Fiberglass ladders, wood, and metal. I know they are designed for metal but they thread everything pretty good suprisingly. Jus like how tapcons work good in wood lol

    Thanks for the information you share with us, would like to know what size are the dog holes, 19mm or 20mm?

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  Год назад +2

      When using a micrometer caliper most of the holes on both of my tables are between 20-20.3 mm. There are a few that are around 19.5 if that matters for your application. There will be some variance as its plastic, but I would say they are 20mm. Hope this helps.

      I don't know that I'd move it bolted together so clamps seem like a better idea.
      I'd rather carry one table at a time so quick release clamps seems like a better idea to me.
      I suppose if I knew it would be set up for some time I might use bolts then but I'd still be afraid to move it around like that.
      Maybe that's over cautious but I'd hate to crack it.

    These are very similar to the Keter workbenches. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the manufacturer of these as well. Unfortunately, I don't have these holes to connect. May have to pick these up as well. You can also use wing nuts instead of locking ones!

    If you wanted to and had the space, could you fold up both tables and store as a single unit while still joined, if you were careful about it? Sorry have seen where it is already answered yes. Good review!

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  Год назад

      Yes, you can fold it up while they are still connected. Simply sit the table on its side, fold up one side then fold up the other side. If transporting, make sure you support both tables so you don't put a bind on the connection in the middle. Hope this helps.

  • @dennishanshew5829

    a couple clamps would make the two table set up more portable/storable.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  4 месяца назад

      Agreed, you can also use some clamps however the only problem with the clamps is when doing any sanding type work it will loosen up the clamps. Because the bottom is only plastic you can only tighten so much before you risk breaking something. You can still very easily fold up and store when using the bolts as well.

  • @DavidSiebert
    @DavidSiebert Год назад +4

    another way to link the two together would be a couple of cheap Harbor Freight clamps. Just clamp the two together and when you want to release the clamps and separate them. Not as secure but faster.

      @TeamDIYNow  Год назад +3

      Yes, it is possible to transport when they are connected. You would need to sit the table on its side and then fold each table. If doing this, I would just be careful when handling and not toss it around to prevent unnecessary stress on the connection.

    • @TeamDIYNow

      Correct it's a Milwaukee M12 ratchet model number 2567-20 (amzn.to/41RUDYm). I mainly use it for automotive work; however a regular ratchet/socket will work fine as well these just speed the process up. They also make some non-fuel versions that are a little bit cheaper if interested. Hope this helps.

    Hello TeamDIYNow, Are those holes on the top surface 3/4" that will fit my standard bench dogs?

    Hi, is the bench top flat? I checked a Dewalt one and it had a gap in the centre of about 10mm

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  Год назад +1

      I just put a level on both of mine and one was 100% level and the other was about 1mm gap in the center. Plastic is always going to have some variance, but the one looks perfect and the other is near perfect. Both of these get used daily for various jobs and still in great shape. If your job requires 100% level, I would just take level off Lowes shelf, and check in store and get the one that is perfect. This Thoughbuilt bench is far better than the Dewalt version. Hope this helps.

    • @TeamDIYNow

      No problem glad to help...You just need to get (2) M5 .8 16mm cap screws and (2) M5 locking nuts for connecting the hubs. Here are couple at Home Depot but if you go into any local hardware the person working in the tool section should be able to help locate if you're not familiar. Home Depot: www.homedepot.com/p/M5-0-8-x-16-mm-Internal-Hex-Metric-Socket-Head-Cap-Screw-2-Pack-844768/204283615 or here is a cheap kit that includes this cap screw among others on Amazon: amzn.to/48h7Com. For connecting the tables, I used 1/4 x 3.5 bolts with locking nuts and 1/4 x 1 1/4 fender washers. Here are a couple links, you dont necessarily need the SS version: amzn.to/481S5ZO , amzn.to/3GP2LyT.

    Why wouldn't they give you the screws and nuts? I bought 1 table, thinking of buying the pouches and belt. I think a wing nut would be good to hold them together.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  Год назад +1

      There is 1 clip hub that comes attached to the table and will work as is for 1 pouch. I'm guessing the reason they don't include additional clip hubs/screws is because not everyone needs multiple pouches, and the hub/screws are additional cost. I posted another video of the belt comparison that may be of interest to you if looking into getting a belt. You're right a wing nut would also be good alternative to hold the tables together!

    What about side to side instead of end to end wondering if you could use the bag mounts

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  Год назад +1

      You could do the exact same thing on sides as there are similar size holes. You could probably also use the ClipTech holes in the table and use a longer M5 cap screw. Just connect the 2 tables together WITHOUT the actual Clip Hub (part that snaps into the pouch). I'm not aware of any way to connect 2 of the Clip Hubs together (even if there was you would then have gap between the tables). Hopefully this helps.

    What size of cap screw did you use.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  Год назад

      The bolt I used for connecting the 2 tables together was a M6 by 3.5 inches. You can use any bolt that the diameter is smaller than the hole diameter of about 3/4 inch. You do need the length of 3.5 as a 3-inch bolt will be tight. The cap screw for the hub is a M5 .8 x16.

    • @TeamDIYNow
      @TeamDIYNow  7 месяцев назад

      Correct you can also use a clamp as well. The only problem with the clamps is if you use a tool that is going to vibrate (sanding wood on top, etc) it could potentially loosen them up and you don't want to over tighten as the table is just plastic. Even when its connected you can still open and close as you can with one table.
