Came across the dewalt a couple of years ago on a job .
I asked the homie how it was and how sturdy it was.
He replied " its sturdy vato, i did my old lady on it and shes not small."
My reply " dayum, im sold on it "
😂😂 fucking hilarious
🤣 Toughbuilt can say that about their table. 🤣
@@tgltoday2717 my Persian buddy ,whom I affectionately refer to as the naughty G haughty, has the well built, its a pretty sturdy unit, even though he ripped through it with his skil saw like a pitbull on a toddler
@@diviningrod2671 haha I bet he's having a hard time living that one down.
Fair enough
I love the DeWalt but that handle pisses me off. Can't tell you how many times I accidently "circular saw'd" it.
Haha totally agree. That thing should move in like the Toughbuilt. I like the DeWalt more than the Toughbuilt. It's operation is just so much smoother at least on the ones that I have.
Same!
Smashed my fingers before, not cool
@@MeesterSickguy Ouch. That is the worst. Last time I smashed my finger, it took about 15 months for the nail and feeling to be back to normal. I've never hit it so bad before. lol
😂
I'm old fashioned. I call someone else to do it after I've screwed it up after several lackluster attempts. I know when to get back into my lane after briefly swerving into another.
Haha I've probably taken on a few tasks I shouldn't have. I got them done, but I know exactly what you mean. I've defiantly learned the hard way more times then I wanted to, but I won't make those mistakes again.
That's me also to an extent say 50/50 the other 50% of the time i screw it up beyond repair
@@turtleman190 It's how we learn unfortunately lol Things don't seem to go according to plan very often.
what?
These are the types of reviews I need
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.
Just went deep into the stack tech. Pretty solid setup. Cant wait for the drawers.
I can't wait to see the drawers either. Also, Menards sells a bunch of the belt pouches Incase you wanted to compare prices to Lowe's.
Love stack tech and their. Clip tech
@@brandonsapp481 Its a great system. I love the options it has with it.
Stack tech is great for outdoor & commercial work but it’s way too heavy & has too large a profile for light-medium interior residential work imo. I switched to packout to save weight
I've got a few of the Toughbuilt Cliptech pouches and bags already, so that's the one I'd probably go with. It's a pretty versatile system and they're indeed, tough.
I agree. They also just came out with the Toughbuilt Stacktech latching tool box system like the Milwaukee Packout that I believe uses these same clips. This Toughbuilt table is definitely solid and it feels like it has a better chance then the Dewalt to hold the 1000lbs it claims it can hold up to.
I just picked up a tough built belt this season and pretty happy with it so far. Tough enough, comfortable and the modular design with the clips/bags etc is pretty handy.
@@spencerc9284 I wish I had a use for it just so I could try it. I think it looks like a sweet design the way it all works together. I'm glad to you hear you like it so far.
Nah. It doesn't stay sturdy. It folds itself back up slowly then collapses when you least expect. Dangerous
I don’t mind the handle sticking out on the Dewalt, it actually comes in handy for me. I often use it to hook my extension cord and air nozzle on. Don’t have to bend over to pick them up off the floor. It’s also a nice place to magnet a work light to, if you’re working in the dark.
hmm I don't have a magnetic work light but that sounds like a nice idea. I've had a lot of other people tell me they like the handle for basically what you're using it for so I'm rethinking how much I don't like it haha I may start to not mind it soon.
both have the handle and tge option for using it like that, but only 1 has the optuon of getting the handle out of the way
@@silentbobfan32 only one has the option of that feature breaking too.
@@Spillmansgarageyeah but that just means now you can't put it away and just like the Dewalt 😂
But completely irrelevant anyway since toughbuilt has lifetime warranty 👍
@@EmpressOfExile206tough built handle is too thick to hang basic power tool belt clips on though
Nothings better than the top of a brand new washer and dryer to use as a workbench :P
Haha I wish I could say I've not done that before but....
I have multiple of the DeWalt. I actually prefer the handle going out but mainly for the fact I can put my screw tray
On it and it doesn’t take up any room of the actual table.
That is a nice feature for sure. I prefer the Dewalt. I'm almost positive I'm going to buy another one.
I don't know about the work tables, but Toughbuilt makes the absolute best tape measure of any I have ever used. I'm a framer and I've used many many many tape measures in my 50yrs.
That's great info. I've never used one or even looked at one however I will defiantly be looking next time I make it to Lowes. Thank you.
I’m gonna have to try that. One thing I can’t stand on tape measures is not being able to yank it out quick, most every tape measure I have tried to quickly pull out gets stuck and I have to shove back in or keep pulling hard.
The Milwaukee 25’ wide blade is unfortunately the only one that doesn’t. It also costs $25 and is never on sale.
It’s a random problem that probably only I have. Haha
@@CluckingCraftsman Haha random problem that only I have. I love it. That stinks the only one you kind find that works good is a $25 one. My favorite so far is just a standard one from Menards that is 15 years old and they don't make any more. lol
@@tgltoday2717 Man I wish I was that easy on tools. Haha
Good job making it last that long
@@CluckingCraftsman I'm actually surprised as I've dropped it a lot. Back when I was just a poor college kid, I could only afford tool shop and Masterforce. I bought that tape measure because it said lifetime warranty. I warrantied that one out no issue. This one somehow keeps going. I have a toolshop miter saw that I was given and I can't complain about it but all other tool shop tools I tried were junk and broke real fast. I will never again buy that brand. I guess what I'm saying is every now and then I get lucky with some cheaply priced tools. lol
I don't have much of an opinion although, my one coworker bought the DeWalt table. He opened it great the first time. Everytime after that it never opened right. Wasn't dropped or misused. The dude showed us his new work table. Put it away and then when he pulled it back out to use it again he struggled to get it to open up.
Sounds like he may have had a lemon. I would have returned it and tried another one. That sucks I feel bad for him. I would not be happy.
Wife bought me a dewalt several years ago for Christmas. Since then, I've bought 5 or 6 more for our work trailers. Very handy onsite.
Totally agree and also glad to hear that which means they must be holding up well.
Never used the toughbuilt, but I can tell you I use the handle on DeWalt constantly to hang my tools by their belt clips. Never find a need to stow it
I've used the handle to rest a few things as well. I think the DeWalt is easier to use. I like the DeWalt more.
I got the ToughBuilt because it had the same specs as the DeWalt but less expensive. Have had 0 issues so far.
I would have done the same. I wouldn't buy either of these tables at full price.
I have the Dewalt. I use the handle as extra table space. Place boards on it, hang tools of it, etc.
I like that. I might make a board now that I can sit on there that won't slide off and then it can increase my table space. I seem to be running out all the time lol Hence the reason I bought a second one.
Same. When I’m assembling furniture I throw a blanket over it and then use the cardboard/foam packaging material from the new furniture to extend the table work surface out. I can also lay the instructions or a few screws on the blanket that’s laying on the handle. Or I can hang tools off of the handle.
@@christophercrawford2736 I'm finding so many uses for this handle I find annoying half the time. Thanks for the great ideas. Glad to hear this table is working out good for you as well.
@@tgltoday2717 yeah can definitely be annoying at times too. I’ve definitely bumped into it a few times. But I’ve found how to make it more useful and use it as an extension for longer pieces and light small pieces such as hardware.
I've been using the DeWalt for probably about the same amount of time. I don't mind having the handle out. It makes my workbench bigger. And I also use the handle to hang stuff off of. Like maybe the nail guns or air hose or whatever else I could clip on that thing.
I'm glad to hear you're making the best of that handle. Also that you have been using the table for a while and still like it.
I have both and use them for different things. I feel like the DeWalt is easier to set up and maneuver as it is slightly lighter and less thick. The tough built is nice and solid but the buttons always give me trouble and it's harder to get the legs in and out.
I'm so glad to hear that as I was starting to wonder if I just had a bad one lol. The buttons and legs on the tough built, I have the exact same issues with. I have the same thoughts for both tables as you.
I've owned the DeWalt version of that table for 3 years and I've jumped down on top of it from many roofs among many other things and it still holds up to the day, the feet are a little bit cattywampus, but it still holds my table saw like a charm.
I own all tough belt tool belts because of the system and I didn't know they made a table but I will probably be investing in one.
That's awesome to hear about the DeWalt table. I know I'm totally satisfied with mine as of now. Yeah, I don't remember how long the toughbuilt one's been out, but now that they're coming out with their modular system I think it's really drawn a lot of attention for everybody on the table and anything else they make. I honestly didn't know about all the stuff they made until I saw this table.
Simple demonstration, straight and to the point youtube video thank you!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Haven't used the toughbuilt bench but DeWalt I have and ist sturdy and tough I was cutting full length sheet rock 3/4 on it lay out electrical outlets .
The Toughbuilt imo is more sturdy then the Dewalt. Anything the Dewalt can handle, I'd say the Toughbuilt can as well.
I have a 1970s black and decker with 2 2x10s for a top when you need a new hole you just drill one into it, works perfectly well though definitely way heavier than those for sure
Ahh yes the old black and decker. It's crazy how little they are talked about or seen these days, and yet there old stuff held up so well.
I too love that dewalt work table. It has lasted me 4 years and haven’t had a single problem with it
That's awesome to hear! I love hearing feedback on how well stuff holds up. Thanks for watching and sharing.
I'm a fan of the toughbuilt. I use their pouches, so i use the side clip a lot. Just give the tracks a spritz of dry lube once every few months and it'll keep on working
Their ability to use the pouches was a big feature I found really cool when I purchased the table. I don't actually have any at this time. I will try the lubing the tracks, that is a great tip. Thank you. Glad you are loving your table. I defiantly think its the better built of the two.
They both appear highly functional. I can a few different needs for each... Or maybe a pair of each. The Tough Built has those angled slots that could make 45° plunge cuts easier, but DeWalt has more hold down holes, so I don't know, really it's a tie.
That is why I had bought the Toughbuilt as they both have features I liked. I defiantly like the Dewalt more after using them both. It fits my needs better.
Idk much about Toughbuilt, they look like a budget brand on the shelf but they have some cool tools. I uave a folding drywall saw and a utility nice that flips to be a scraper that I use all the time and theyre actually pretty durable. Everything else we use is DeWalt because we have a deal with them but ToughBuilt is ok in my book.
I didn't even realize Toughbuilt had so many tools until recently. I think they new modular system is really helping them advertise and it looks like a lot of people are buying into them.
Send like the biggest difference would be the weight and the pencil holder. So it depends on how much you really plan on carrying it and whether or not you have ears and pockets
Those are probably the two biggest reason's I like the Dewalt more. The weight as I carry it a lot and I have everything from screws, nuts, bolts and pencils sitting in that holder depending on what I'm doing.
@@tgltoday2717 all very understandable reasons
@@tristangriswell2034 Thank you.
Since i started working at Lowes i developed a love for Toughbuilt.
I believe it. Anything in particular you really like about them?
@@tgltoday2717
Stabilizer Knee pad (came in clutch when I had to install my mother's carpet)
Laser level
Pocket level
Laser ruler
The impact reducing hammers
The entire StackTech line
Their brand of utility knife
And their Ripsaw
More of their designs are pretty cool, dependable, and budget friendly.
And as a gamer the stack tech wall organizers are awesome. Just looks like it belongs there and doesn't stick out like a Milwaukee wall organizer would. So the brand serves me two purposes.
@flashthompson1085 wow I had no idea Toughbuilt made all of that. I don't have a Lowes so I only get there every now and then unfortunately. I know exactly what you mean when you say it just looks like it belongs there. The black slick design is defiantly a great look.
I’m got a dewalk one in the garage rn w a transmission on it. Sturdy as can be but after a few years it doesn’t close up and open as easy
Wow! That's awesome. You use one for rebuilding transmissions. Also thanks for the update on how well they hold up long term under heavy use. Mine still opens and closes. Really nice so hopefully that will continue for a long time. For watching.
Ever since I started using the dewalt tables I stopped carrying saw horses. I really like them. But I have had to replace a couple. Jobsites are rough the folding mechanism seems to come apart after said usage.
I've heard a couple other people say the same thing about the folding mechanisms on the DeWalts. Luckily I've not had that issue yet.
Look pretty similar. I use a that same brand of tool pouch at work so that would be kind of a nice feature to have clips built in
I think the Toughbuilt would be real nice if you are using the belt and clips already. I can see how nice that would work for sure.
I’ve learned to love the dealt handle it’s nice to have something to hang stuff on and or put your shovel in to hold it up
I totally get that. I definitely like the DeWalt table overall better myself.
Excellent comparison video. I would like to see what each one weighs. I went with the Dewalt for the lighter weight and I don't need the retractable handle or the tool holders on the corners of the Toughbuilt. I picked up the Toughbuilt in the store and it was noticeably heavier and at the end of a long day I don't need heavier. I constantly use the pencil/tool/parts "tray" built into the Dewalt.
Thank you. I just looked it up on HD website and the Dewalt weighs 24.25lbs. Lowes doesn't list the actual weight of the Toughbuilt from what I saw. I don't actually own a scale so I can't just weigh them. You seem to have the same thoughts as I do. The extra weight is unwanted and also use the pencil/tool/parts tray on the Dewalt all the time.
I almost bought the tough built box system. I did not. I bought the Klein mod box.
However, I am a huge fan of tough built. Watching your video it looks like the tough bill is sturdier. And sometimes simpler is not better. There is a reason, the engineers made two buttons. Visibly I would rather have the tough built and I don’t like the wall systems. That’s just me personally I think they’re an OK product. I hope that Klein makes a worktable someday. If not, I will have to give the tough built a hard look.
Great job, good review
That's a coincidence because im interested in buying into the Klein mod box system. I'm hoping they'll release a bottom rolling box that's a drawer and if they do I'll for sure be buying into it. The toughbuilt definitely feels more solid built than the DeWalt imo. And after this video I've since found a video where somebody tested in the store. The toughbuilt put a thousand pounds on it and it did not break. I also found a video where somebody did that with the DeWalt and it broke. Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I like the dewalt handle. I can lay over sized projects on it or hang stuff from it
I've heard others are doing the same. I might try putting a board on it for more table space.
Toughbuilt, I have one , but the buttons are confusing, which close , which open. I got it on sale , makes the job easier , I have a Rigid rolling tool system and this table is great for set up instead of working off the floor..
I know exactly what you mean about the buttons and my particular table doesn't seem to open and close as nice as I'd like. I love the rigid boxes and they're coming up with a bottom box that has drawers. From what I've seen it's pretty sweet looking. It's just not clear when it's going to be out.
My dad has a worx pegasus.
Few slots for a pencil, ruler, tape measure, screws or whatever you want to put in, and has two slots (kinda like a T-track) to put the clamps in.
It also has little indents and rubber connectors to connect as many as you want
Someone else just mentioned the Worx to me as well. I've never seen the Worx but it sounds super nice. I'm going to look that up for sure. Thanks.
I like the Dewalt, mostly because I own one (got it on sale @ HD 3 or 4 years ago). The Toughbuilt also looks good. I’m always looking for a deal. If I didn’t have one, I’d get whichever was cheaper. These collapsible tables are very handy and useful.
Sales are my favorite time as well. I won't buy a table at full price lol
went with the dewalt as it was a little bit lighter, like the fold away feature on the toughbuilt, bout the same price, but generally happy have some cracks on the dewalt. and the leg fell off
I have the same experience. I think the Dewalt is lighter and I think it folds a lot easier. I somehow broke a quarter size hole on one side of the Dewalt. I do wish the handle would slide in like on the Toughbuilt but if I did it again, I would go with the Dewalt. I'm pretty sure the Toughbuilt will hold more weight though. It defiantly seems more sturdy and solid in my opinion. haha the leg fell off? How did that happen? I got both of them on sale for $70 at one time. I know they are both now $119 when I looked.
I have three dewalt and it's been great. No need for a extra button for retractable handle
I like my DeWalt more than my toughbuilt for sure.
I’ve had the Dewalt for 2 years plus now and it crapped out on me. The leg mechanism broke, I last used it to hold the dewalt planer which is about 90 lbs. I don’t abuse my tools that’s why I am looking at the tough built.
Wow that's crazy! I can't believe how bad if luck you had with them. Hopefully you get the Tougjbuilt and it holds up better. I definitely think the Toughbuilt is a more solid table.
I have the dewalt the handle doesn’t bother me, definitely getting 1 maybe 2 more.
I know they're so addicting to have just extra tables and yet you can never seem to have enough of them LOL
I like both, I have 3 Dewalt and the handle I like it, I hang my clamps on it when not using
I prefer the DeWalt over the toughbuilt myself.
That Toughbuilt looks really nice, and I would guess significantly less expensive.
I would have thought that as well but Lowes has the Toughbuilt at 119 normal price and HD has the Dewalt at 119 normal price. The Dewalt is currently on sale for 89 as of today.

When they get gunned up beyond cleaning I send a picture of it to Toughbuilt they send me a new knife simple. As for the table I love it because it’s built I’ve used the dewalt table and I love that as well but I’m sold on toughbuilt
Wow that awesome there warranty is so easy. I had no idea. I wonder if and what they would warranty the table out for? It says its a limited lifetime. Glad you hear how well toughbuilt in general has worked for you.
Did you know that DeWalt has a lifetime warranty as well.
@@pauliagulli3172 yes and I know they make you jump through hoops to get any sort of refund or replacement and they won’t touch their batteries when they shit out, I’ve had horrible customer experience with dewalt.
@@pauliagulli3172 On this table? If so, no. I was thinking about that a few days ago and forgot to look into it.
I use the handle to stack wood scraps vertical or to hang my cord for the skil saw or even my nail gun . Choose dewalt if you're an actual professional, choose the other if you're a civilian or rookie starting out. Then you won't run into cutting the handle since you don't know how to change the cut height on your skil saw
I have to agree. As solid as the Toughbuilt is, I don't think it's as refined. I'm really not like the buttons on it. I wouldn't buy it over the DeWalt. I may even sell the Toughbuilt and buy another DeWalt or try one of the other brand tables.
I own 3 dewalts, but I couldn’t tell you how many times I thought to myself, I wish there was a ruler on these.
haha oh really? I don't think I'd use it much if it was on there, but I think its a great feature. Just like how Ford has it on some of their new tailgates. The pencil holder though, I have something in that at all times.
Depending on price, the only advantage the Toughbuilt has is a retractable handle. Pretty cool, but if it’s like a $30-50 jump in price, not that cool. If same price, would be an advantage.
I have a Dewalt, been very solid.
I agree. The Toughbuilt is $119 normal as is the Dewalt. Right now the Dewalt is on sale for $89 at HD.
I have that Dewalt, but that Thoughbuild brand has some excellent alternatives... the saw horse pair is awesome
Agreed. That's actually why I wanted to try the toughbuilt.
You have to screw the legs into the table but other then that the husky version is way better. Much more stable and doesn't wobble like these two
I've never seen the husky version. I'll have to check it out thanks.
The price tag is a little bit of a factor. I picked up the dewalt on sale around Christmas 2 years ago on same for like 60 bucks...
Nice job. That's the only time I'd buy them when they're on sale. I got the DeWalt on sale. It was 3 years ago for $70 when I got it and then last year I got the tough built on sale for $70. I looked online and they're both 119 right now.

Idk which id buy if i had the money. But i really like the toughbuilt system with the tool bags
I really like the Toughbuilt systems tool bags idea as well. They are really starting to come out with some great stuff.
Neither. The folding mechanism is just something to break. Husky makes one with screw in legs (yes, assuming the folding mechanism works properly, the screw in legs take more time), but it has a built-in plate to which a router may be mounted. Very, very handy feature if you mill custom moldings on site. It also has steel brackets that attach to the outside and allow you to extend the table with 2x4s. Also very handy.
That built in plate would be real nice.
Tough built is a pretty cool company, I was skeptical about their pouches I kept seeing the same plumber use them on different jobs I was on he said they were awesome. So one day I bought the tool belt and man i really liked the removable pouches for different situations
I don't have a use for them, but I think that belt and pouch system is the coolest thing. So yes when I saw the table had the holders for them I geeked out a bit lol
They both seem real good. I'm happy with my Keter work bench/table.
I've heard good things about the Keter. I guess all these folding tables pretty much work the same and you can't go wrong with any of them.
@@tgltoday2717 It has really done me well. It folds flat to around 4 inches and stores easily. The plastic has held up with no stretching or cracks. The height is adjustable, making it good for all sorts of uses. The clamps hold things very well, too.
@LongGun223 Good to hear. It's amazing how well these plastics hold up these days on these tables. The Dewalt one has some chips out of the plastic on the edges. I think it's their design weakness.
These are nice but i still like my two saw horse and plywood work bench
Hard to beat the tried and true. I still use my saw horses all the time. Thanks for watching.
I've been looking to get a small work table. Adjust haven't been able to pull the trigger just yet. I've made a lot of purchases on tools, saw stands, and other equipments I soon regretted.
I feel your pain. I've regretted many many tool purchases lol. With that being said, of these two tables, I like the Dewalt a more and I'm kinda wishing I wouldn't have bought the Toughbuilt. I don't have any of the belts and don't plan on getting them so I don't need that feature, I don't know how much I will if at all use the tape on it so that leaves me at the lack of pencil holder which I use on the Dewalt all the time and the opening and closing on the Dewalt is so much nicer IMO. It seems like the comments are split 50/50 on the tables and the general consensus I saw was people think the Toughbuilt is heavier duty and will last longer. I've also got some people who have and like the Keter tables so I would maybe recommend trying to look at them all in person before you buy. Hope that helps.
Toughbuilt for the clips and also for the fact that it stays flat... those holes are 20mm so they can be used with dogs as mft tables. However, the dewalt table dips toward the centre meaning your dogs dont sit straight and your cuts arent square.
I just learned about the dogs from one other person as well, thank you. I never noticed that the Dewalt dips so I will have to check that out. But like your saying, that is no good and its kinda a bummer Dewalt didn't think that through a little more. No one likes a crooked house lol
i like the dewalt because i use the extended handle to put a plastic tub in it to collect bolts and small screws
Do you have a picture by chance? I'd like to see your set up.
@@tgltoday2717 no but maybe if i remember tuesday, but it’s just a hefty brand tub that i got at home depot that just snuggled in there. only the lip of the container keeps it there. could probably use the summit racing small storage tubs too
@@Andy47357 Oh I gotcha. No worries.
I like Toughbuilt. The legs are beefier too. But for some reason it is out of stock where I live. I can’t even find online.
I definitely think the toughbuikt is stronger than the DeWalt. I'm not sure why it's out of stock where you are, but earlier this year I think I saw people saying they were on clearance at Lowe's. So I'm not sure what that means but maybe that's why you can't find them.
I think the price would be the biggest factor for me looking at these 2 pieces, I feel if there close in price point then the tough is better but if the tough is like 200 extra then not worth having a handle fold in for the price difference personally
Normal price for both is $119. HD had the Dewalt on sale for $89, it may still be that right now.
Whichever your local had. Based on the review, either seems fine.
They do both do the same job just fine. My preference is the Dewalt if it matters. Thanks for watching.
I don't own any tools or do any sort of work that needs them but some Hu ow this convinced me I need one of those
Haha that is great. They can be great junk collectors as well.
i have a strange aversion to Dewalt for some reason. ill go with the Toughbuilt
I'm not one to judge. I'm the same way with Polaris products lol
Use the dewalt every day. Even though its not really for metal work/welding. Works just fine lol
I love to hear that it's holding up so well for you. I don't see why you can't use it for what ever you want as long as its under 1k although I'm not sure I'd want to put that on it.
2 buttons means 1 more thing that can break. With the handle being what controls the folding, what happens if button 2 breaks? Is the handle permanently locked in place? Is it permanently loose and floppy? Does the action still work?
Its a worktable, keep it simple.
I'm really not sure. The buttons are connected to some thick plastic that I don't see braking on the TB. IMO the button on the Dewalt works nicer and the overall open and close is smoother. If I bought another one of these two, I'd buy Dewalt.
A 3/8 mdf sacrificial top would make these usable for more tasks.
That's not a bad idea. Thanks man.
My guy you would be a good tile guy lol. “Ive done enough work and it’s getting close to noon, bye”
😂 wouldn't want to overwork the tables. They might not like it. 🤣
I love my Dewalt table
Any table that gets the job done is a good table. I can never have too many tables but I find the more tables I have the more junk that sits on them lol
The Keter is better than both. Lighter, easier to fold/collapse and it has a second shelf and clamps included.
That is what I' hearing. I want to find one in person and check it out. I'm thinking of getting rid of the Toughbuilt and getting a Keter.
@@tgltoday2717 buy it online if you can afford it. Worth the investment.
@jacobdimaria8250 will do. Thanks for the tip.
im a contractor and ive used both on jobs....neither have lasted more then 6 months before something breaks with the opening/closing mechanism....toughbuilt is way heavier and a bit bulkier so if your working out of a van like me where every inch matters go dewalt....but like i said before be prepared for either table to break
Dang, that's really disappointing to hear. Thanks for letting me know. So do you keep buying a new one or are you doing something different that's working better?
@@tgltoday2717 just keep buying new ones unfortunately....boss lets us buy whatever tools we need with company money....as long as he dont care i really dont either
@Draco51 haha nice. I don't blame you one bit there.
I know darn well my boss HAD the dewalt I have the husky, that Dewalt didn’t make it 6months without the legs getting all twisted and bent
Yikes. That sucks.
I want one. I dont even work in construction or anything related to it, but it looks cool and I want one
Haha you don't have to work in construction to need one lol they're just so handy. The fact that you can just carry them anywhere, open them up in 3 seconds and use them for anything you want. If you wait till around Black Friday they usually go on sale.
@@tgltoday2717 I'm definitely getting 2 on black Friday. Thanks for the heads up!
You're welcome!
I also noticed the surface in the Dewalt is not ridged because it’s not all that flat
I guess I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Been using the dealt one for 4 years+. No complaints about it. I actually don’t mind the and staying out and use it to hang stuff.
I'm finding a lot of people are liking the handle staying out to hang stuff on. Sweet deal.
Getting the handle out of the way is great
It sure is.
This is the first time I've ever even seen that... but I like them both.
They are pretty handy to have around.
Love the dewalt table. Not easy to open at all
I like theDeWalt one more as well. Mine opens really easy. That's a bummer yours does not. You might be able to grease something I've never actually looked cuz I haven't had an issue yet.
I find there's a trick on the Dewalt to make it easier to open. It may be a slight defect, but if I tilt mine forward before I push the button, the legs deploy much easier.
I've heard that about the Toughbuilt. I've tried it and seems to be about the same. Oddly enough my Dewalt seems to be the exact opposite of yours. It opens with pretty much no effort at all. Weird.
I really like my Worx sidekick table
My HD doesn't have that one in stock but I'm trying to find someplace that does so I can check it out. I'm finding that I really don't like the Toughbuilt much and might sell that one to get a different one.
The toughbuild looks so much more durable, i'll be taking that one
I think it is more durable than the DeWalt.
Price comparison would seal that
At the time of this video, the MSRP on both of them was the same.
I love the design of the handle
Which ones handle do you like the design on?
@@tgltoday2717the retractable, because it maintains the function to collapse, but collapses itself. Serves as a secondary way to stop collapse of table, and gets out of way.
Worthy complication to design
Agreed.
I'd like one or 2 or these for my little woodshop. The old saw horse table is tried and true but it can be a bit cumbersome, and I'm going to need to use the plywood I'm working off of.
The Dewalt is on sale at HD for $89 as of right now. It has been all month so if you want to get one, might want to now before it goes back up to $119.
@@tgltoday2717 I'm recovering from a layoff so it'll have to stay on the wishlist for now. Thanks for the tip regardless.
@@anthonymorris8891 Sorry to hear that. I totally get that. This table seems to go on sale every year starting around November so if that trend follows, next year is your year 😀
Great demonstration and review
Thank you.
I like the dewalt one, but I don’t own either. I’ve been eyeing dewalt though.
I like the DeWalt more due to it opening and closing easier and the pencil holder. However, the webbing on the side of mine has broke in one or two spots which may or may not be a bad sign. I will say that the DeWalt is on sale at home Depot right now for $89 versus $119 for the toughbuilt. So if you do want to buy the DeWalt I would recommend doing it now before the price goes back up.
@@tgltoday2717 I saw that it was on sale there. I should just go and get it, but most the work I do is maintenance, so I’m not convinced I need it, but I suppose I could try it out, I know it would get used.
@FR-sr9sy I to am guilty of buying a tool I didn't totally need lol but it sure made me happy.
Na im good using sawhorses and some plywood or some other contraption I've made
Nothing wrong with that. I did that for years and still have to some times.
I have both and have used both for a while. My dewalt stands seem to crack and fall apart way too easy. The tough built ones are harder to open / close, but are built sturdier. I think the tough built will hold up a lot longer than the dewalts. Tit for tat, the dewalts wont last as long but are $40 cheaper when on sale. I prefer the tough built.
I'm glad to hear that as those are my exact thoughts on the two except I just prefer the DeWalt due to the opening and closing. Lol I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thinks the Toughbuilt doesn't open and close that great. I have also had my DeWalt chip out in the edges in-between the ribs or whatever you want to call that plastic bracing stuff they have. That's definitely a design flaw I feel they should address on a 2.0 table hopefully.
Either one would be more than enough I think
I have to agree.
I had the toughbuilt. Loved it until it wouldn't open anymore no matter how hard I pushed the button or pulled the handle. I gave it away. I decided to downgrade to the worx sidekick. I miss the toughbuilt, but it was just too frustrating. Btw, I have several toughbuilt products and they are my go to, knives, chisel, knee pads, 2 totes and tape measure.
The button on my Toughbuilt bothers me as well. My Dewalt opens so easy. I'm not sure if I got a lemon or what. I've heard good things about worx. Let me know how that one holds up for you. I'm looking to replace the Toughbuilt I'm just still trying to decide with what. I had no idea how many tools Toughbuilt made up until you and a few others on this video have mentioned it. I'm defiantly going to check them out next time I go to Lowes. I'm hoping Menards will start to carry more Toughbuilt products.
@@tgltoday2717 menards carries some toughbuilt tool pouches and belts. Tbh, I've seen a lot less of toughbuilt in lowes and menards. They will probably get the boot in the near future. Believe it or not, you'll even find toughbuilt knee pads at harbor freight. They are the most comfortable I've ever owned.
@@vchow6749 I've seen the belts and pouches at Menards which is why I'm hoping they will get more. I didn't know Lowes was carrying less. I wonder where they will go if Lowes doesn't carry them. I had no idea HF carried there knee pads. I never would have expected that. Thanks for the info.
Lol…I have an old B&D Workmate. That sucker was so heavy I never haul it out anymore.
I bet, but at least it's held up.
Keter with bottom shelf for the win
I've heard good things about keter. I've yet to try them out.
