The Bugz is fantastic...great as a ned rig on the bottom...it you pump the rod as you reel it in ....it looks like a swimming crawdad trying to escape...that will get the hesitant fish to nail it. Its definitely a craw imitation. Set the hook fast ...they suck them down fast to get them into the crushing plates in their throats...if you wait to set the hook they swallow them.

    Richard,
To avoid shippin' down in that slick mud, find yourself on sale a pair of football, baseball, or soccer shoes. I learned this in high school growing up in the panhandle of Florida, hunting and fishing river bottoms, in the 60s.

Not being sarcastic. But releasing the bass down a little bit is beyond smart. So many people, myself included release them exactly where I catch ‘em. Makes so much sense to release them away from catching them.

It's really not necessary, it just eats up time you could be casting or moving on the bank to another spot. You saw yourself in this video that he missed the 3 other bass that he spotted when the first was hooked. If they weren't spooked when he caught the first they weren't going to be spooked by a returning fish.

Just loaded up with some Nikko and zman bulletzs. You can catch a lot of fish on just one bait if you use a bait keeper jig hook and are fishing in smaller creeks where if you get snagged you can just walk out and fetch your lure instead of breaking off or cutting your line. Nikko will SAVE you money buying artificial bates in the long run. the competitors and their closest is probably Yum just give you a few more in a package bt you aren't going to get a lot of mileage out of them.
