- In this video, I'll be sharing valuable insights about the life of a pilot. From enjoying layovers with a great crew to dealing with the challenges of a demanding schedule, I'll give you a glimpse into this rewarding profession. Being a pilot can be physically and mentally exhausting, but maintaining a positive attitude is crucial. It's also essential to be passionate about aviation, as becoming a pilot involves a significant financial investment. Staying fit and healthy is a priority, and wearing a uniform simplifies life on the job. Flight tests and examinations are common, so getting comfortable with evaluation is necessary. Flexibility is vital, as pilots often miss weekends and holidays due to changing schedules. Remember, love the job, not just the airline you work for. I hope you find these insights valuable.

Being a Student Pilot, I liked that you mention the point of enjoying the journey of becoming a Pilot , and not rushing it ... Have Safe Flights ✈
I’m also a student pilot and I was thinking the exact same
It is so important! Enjoy your ride guys 🙌✈️
@@Pascalklr Thanks!
Starting academy in april! so close and so excited! definably will take this advice :)
I will be a pilot no matter what!
I love that you mentioned getting used to being tested. I am in the process of becoming a pilot and the amount of testing is incredibly daunting.
It's definitely going to be part of your life from now on 🛫✌️
I have a question for you, what subjects should I be good at to become a pilot, and how much will it cost me? I am just in the middle school but I have some ambitions since i was young.
@@mike-yd5fvcost for me is 55k for all my licenses up to commercial. If you go to college it’s about another 60k or so

As a young person (11) who wants to be a pilot since I was 6, this motivated even more! Nothing is stopping me! Even if my friends say “Man, you’re gonna get Jet-lag, considering you’re in New Zealand”, HA! No.
Get it lil dude, soar like a bird 🛫
I’m a CFII and I still get incredible test anxiety for even the slightest “exam”.
Story of our lives 🛫
I am a truck driver in the US but grew up wanting to be a pilot. I enjoy trucking but I can see many similarities between the flight life and the driving life. I had days driving where I was doing long hours without many stops and other times where I had tons of stops in a short time. Both are very exhausting!!! Thank you for the advice. All the information is very useful.
Ima trucker too- and about to start aviation training
@@kennethstewart9278I’m a truck driver and I quit that crap. I’m about to take my physical tomorrow for my medical for aviation.
I'm an electrician that works as a sort of 'gun for hire'. I'll drive out 500 km at times just for a job that'll take a week, tops. Life would be much easier flying to my destinations and dropping off materials (which are sometimes in remote areas).

The quality of your videos is soooo good!! I feel like I’m watching a channel that has millions of subscribers. Your content is truly inspirational 🤩🤩
Thank you so much!!! That really means a lot thanks 🙌
Congrats on becoming a commercial pilot. I dodged all the costs by joining the RAF after leaving school at 18. Pay wasn't brilliant but the airforce paid for your training! Enjoyed my time flying the F4 Phantom and the Tornado that replaced it. Many of my contemporaries ended up with the airlines but after flying fighters for 11 years that didn't appeal to me! Bought myself a little Cessna to flog around in (at considerably less speed...) but it's still quite a laugh. Enjoy the bright blue yonder!
Are you able to join airlines from the raf because I don’t think I could afford flight school
By all means apply for flight training in the airforce. If your ultimate intention is to fly commercials your best bet is to be streamed onto the 'heavies' rather than fast jets. Being qualified to fly multi-engined turbojet or jet aircraft will prepare you much better for large commercial aircraft. Good luck with whatever route you take!
another two key things:
The log book, training record and incident/accident reports, if any, start to follow you once you begin the very first flight that means how many hours you needed until the 1st solo, how many times you needed to pass the re-checks and etc..., which airlines might ask when you applying the jobs, so keep it in mind.
and can you always be positive towards the mistakes you made or how can you recover from the failures you had in a reasonable time? that's crucial through this career.
Good points Tim! When you apply for a new job airlines want to know everything… so in aviation it’s impossible to hide something, everything is recorded!
Have a good day mate ✌️

i never knew what i wanted to do with my life as a highschooler. Suddenly, a couple days ago, i just got really really really into becoming a pilot, and laid out a detailed intricate plan to becoming one. It may not be set in stone, and I do not want to force myself if I do no want to do it some day in the future, but right now, it is whaat i want for sure, and i feel like that will stay pretty consistent.
Just watching these kinds of videos, being a pilot, and aspiring to become one, knowing that I can never achieve the same because of how hard life is, sucks and hurts. But that's life. Have a safe flight, sir.
Really really nice video with a lot of motivating and interesting contents.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Becoming a pilot sounds so cool! Im definitely gonna study hard to become a pilot
Hi Pascal, thanks for this video of 10 Things you should know before becoming a Pilot. Seems like every career has it's good parts and hard parts as well. Thanks for all of the great views from the cockpit windows and also the landing in Florida as well as the landing in Frankfurt. Your command of English is great, did you study it throughout your school training? I'm sure it comes in handy when traveling to English speaking destinations.
Thanks Ben, yes I had English throughout my entire school and then I did some exchange holidays. 🙌✌️
What an incredible storytelling you have mate. Good job!

Your streaming is PHENOMENAL. You are showing the pilot real life, not just what they have to do in the cockpit, but showng pilot life far a way from the cockpit. You are naturally showing, talking the naked tru pilot life in reality. It is friendly, signature streaming, and it is you. VRB SR60 is my hometown n I love it. Many new student pilots studying and flying above VRB.
Your enthusiasm being pilot is outlined. Personally I'm long time sim pilot since been 90" MSFS DOS version. I'm not much of Subscribing chanels, but now I'm happily subscribe your channel. I dreaming of being an a330 pilot just like you Pascal! Thx for these tips! 😊
Thank you Pascal. LOVE THE JOB NOT THE AIRLINE.
One other thing that one should know, which was not mentioned, is that airlines can compulsorily post one from one base to another. This can massively disrupt one's life in many ways.
Depends on the Airlines you're working for... some can do it unfortunately.✌️
Great Great content, many thanks for your effort sir!
Glad i found you the pilot i used to get inspriration from stopped posting
I find your videos very interesting. Love your accent too mate.

I had to watch this video again after watching this last month. Still deciding if this life is meant for me
Currently a truck driver and I’m thinking about getting into this, I like what I do but being able to fly a plane is next level.
Me too
How old are you currently? I always worry about my age factor and being from another profession. At 29 years old now and working in investments since I was like 20 I do worry about the costs of flight school, leaving a stable job that I have been at for 9 years and possibly the low wages of starting out as a pilot. I'd still have to take out a lot of financing to pay for flight school unfortunately.

6 tests, one for each topic in ground school, then a final test with all topics combined. 1 pre test at my academy for the written, then the written...2 pre checkrides at my academy, then the actual checkride. All to get my PPL.
The amount of tests is no joke, but absolutely necessary.
You’re landing was beautiful
What I can say is, that you will have to learn till the end of your career. Lots of learning, reading Manuals reading amendments!
Regarding n5 😅
You can help yourself try to be a Cabin Crew and start to work, earn money, and ask for off-period where you can concentrate yourself for training (or earn all money necessary for a full integrated ATPL and enjoy the training process without gaps) . Like I am doing, and my training process is doing well.
Suggestion before search for a fly accademy, is it better before to achieve a first medical pilot class that can determinate your process.
Enjoy Cabin Crew before being a Pilot can be a good step to find a job """easily""" with your company!
I suggest to every person dreaming to be a Pilot to stop dreaming only and work on it.
I usually say : "Everything is possible in this life, because only the DEATH can close the doors"🎉

Smart requested;)
I’m now a pilot! Captain next step for me yay
This video motivates me to be an airline pilot
Hi pascal this was a amazing video I can tell that you are putting a lot of your time and effort into these wonderful videos and I can see that because this video was so entertaining and the way that your explain everything in detail is very useful because I am learning a lot of things from watching your videos and also I love watching your videos just keep up the hard work Pascal and also I have a maths question that I am struggling to find a easy way to solve is it possible if you can help me with this question the question is :You are walking on a bearing of 32 degrees. You turn left 115 degrees and continue walking forward. You then turn right 46 degrees. What is your final bearing? The Answer options are 193,231,101,323 I think the answer is 231 degrees you have to count every single degree in increments what is the fastest way to do this kind of question.🙌✈️❤️👍
As we all know, a compass has 360 degrees. We start at 32 and turn left 115 degrees. This means, we have heading -83 or 277. 46 to the right means +46, therefore we have 323.
Hi Pascal, Great Video once again!

I’m in Australia, we probably have the best set up here. I’m interested in becoming a pilot and the cost ranges from $85,000 - $170,000 Aud and we have have multiple government loan set ups 1 of them is called VET loan and they offer up to $121,000 for aviation and there are other ones as well that offer more. Anyway you don’t have to pay that back until you start working and are earning over $52,000 Australian government are here to help students 🙌🏼
I`m so glad i discovered your channel - You a very charming dude.

Hello, I am student pilot right, hoping to get on an airline as young as possible. How old were you when you got on with your airline, and did you struggle getting hired purely based from your age? (Assuming you had sufficient flight hours) Also how many years have you been flying for, and how many pilot in command hours do you have?. Thank you!

You can place all other limiting factors aside but cost is always one thing that is preventing many out there from becoming pilots.if only there was a way to reduce the cost in the near future
The cost is really much.
But i got an ideea for me idk if it will work but i want to go to wizz air academy and i play like 13.000 Euro firstly then wizz air pays for your training and after 30th month you pay the money back every month and until 30 month you should already work for them and you just pay the rent.
That is my ideea idk if it will work but i need to get 13-14000 euro in abt 4-5 years

I want to be an airline pilot, but I'm only 14 now, and I'm afraid that by the time I get to the point you're at, it will be all computers, and there will be no real challenge or excitement coming with this job. My other option is military aviation, however I don't think I want to be restricted by that life. I would hate to have to give up my dream.
The uniform part was my favorite part.
All I could think about for a few seconds was "polyester?" Can't go wrong w/ 100% cotton; especially in hot; humid weather.

Hello pascal, this I just subscribed the channel looks amazing but i have a question
With which airline do you work?
Welcome mate, glad you found your way! I'm flying for Eurowings Discover 🛫🙌✌️
This video makes me so excited for my journey to become a pilot! I am going to start training soon and this video really helps inform me about my decisions (i'm 15). Since you are a pro pilot, i had a little question in mind, do you think pilots will be needed in the next 10-15 years?
As a 14 year old who also dreams of being a pilot I'm happy that I found other young people that love this too. A lot of airlines are building their fleets faster than ever and as planes are evolving it's becoming a faster and better way of transportation. So yes, I believe the demand will still be high or even great in the coming years
That's so nice to hear! Thank you.
Yes i do think pilots will be needed the next 10 to 15 years! ✌️✈️
I wanted to be a pilot when I was a child. I become a truck driver instead. Pretty much same job. Just one in the air and one on the ground. I'm very interested in becoming a pilot now. After 11 years of being a truck driver its time to retire from the road and take my career to the skies now.
