Man this finale DELIVERED! They packed SO MUCH STUFF in this that I was scared if it would end on a cliffhanger because how could they POSSIBLY FIT SO MUCH IN!? I felt really bad for Emperor Javicco, the poor man had the world literally pulled out under his feet and told that his life is a lie. This was like Shakespearean level tragic with Javicco killing himself, Francesca's heartbreak and getting murdered by Natalya. At least Ness and hot Artreides boy Kieran get to live and the 3 of them get to run off to Arrakis. I love the switching between younger selves and older selves and you get to see how uncomfortable Tula was with her older sister's crazy ambitious, ruthless plans. Even though Tula went ahead with everything, she was incredibly reluctant and was haunted by the lives she took. Tula was strung along and manipulated by her older sis but even then, she made the decision early on that she didn't want her son to experience what a mess of life the 2 sisters had and it broke her heart to send him away. She felt enough was enough when she even used the voice to stop Valya from killing Desmond and chose to seek an alternate solution to free her son from the machine influence vs killing him. I was surprised that Valya agreed to let Tula go. It is a funny thing that despite all the mess they both get up to, they love each other dearly as family and will still help each other out. Especially you would think Valya is usually the heartless very objective one, but she let Tula go. And despite all the mixed feelings Tula has about Valya, she saved her from death by guiding her out of the fear madness, and what looks like the origins of the 'Litany Against fear'. I love how that it originated from Tula and it was she who discovered this. I'm also deeply curious that Jen the Acolyte wasn't infected by the virus, but it is cool that she discovered that she's some sort of dislocation escape artist, which is pretty awesome. But hot damn, what a mess in the Sisterhood now that all the skeletons have been let out of the closet thanks to rezzed Dorothea. I guess Valya will have to burn that bridge and operate on her own doing crazy prophecy seeding stuff in Arrakis. I'm curious as to what Tula is going to do and how she will attempt to heal Desmond / offer her services or yeah big question mark. She may not look that independent but as we've seen, she can take care of herself pretty darn well. That reconciliation scene with Tula and Desmond was heartbreaking and so messy and crazy! I don't think it is the Ixians. I think it the Tlexalau working with banned technology and that Desmond is a ghola or one of a long line of gholas. When Desmond's vision started in this episode we saw two thumpers. Who besides Fremen would be crazy enough to call a worm? I think it is a manufactured memory to explain his disappearance and miraculous survival.
Ghola can't remember their past yet. Desmond remember who he is. He probably was saved by one of Vorean Atreides upgraded siblings that killed Griffin.
Ghost in the shell (1995). Star Trek: First Contact (1996). Foundation (2021). Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Terminator (1984). Oppenheimer (2023}. Battlestar Galactica (2004). The Matrix: Revolutions (2003). What a beautiful sequence to illustrate the Ixians lore.
While we pretty much know Valya's vision for the Bene Gesserit will succeed, what likely won't succeed is her plan to put Ynez on the throne, simply because, if it were possible to have a female Bene Gesserit on the throne, there'd be no need for a Kwisatz Haderach - a male Bene Gesserit. Fine for a science fiction show. Just doesn’t work, as one meant to be set in the DUNE universe. Which appears to be fairly common, when making adaptations for television unfortunately.
I have always been fascinated by the Weirding Way, even as a young teenager some 45+ years ago. Finally, the retcon I wish the Dune folks had fixed was the "no one uses lasers because the Holzman shields reaction was an atomic explosion." A sacrifice to create an atomic explosion is just too easy.
I can’t wait until season two it kept me on my toes, but it’s a fantastic series and I love Travis Fimmel‘s part. He plays it very well. He’s an amazing actor brings out everything in the movies.
16:29 this is a good point. The plan that AI gives them takes 10,000 years to produce a make with the same power set and it was still “too soon”. Like what human benefits from a plan that lasts that long?
That assumes the AI plan would take that long. That's not confirmed. Perhaps the AI plan would have been a lot quicker but then Doratea destroyed it, perhaps they then have to rely on Presience to complete the breeding plan which takes longer.
@ I’m not assuming the plan took that long I’m just doing the math from the prequel to the timeline of the main story. When it was 10,000 years later and Paul was born the bene said it was one generation too early and she was meant to have a girl that would’ve been wed to a harkonen.

In reading about Herbert and his process, His son claims that our computers today, and even decades or centuries ahead are NOT even close to the level of sophistication of the kind of thing banned in the Duniverse. The guild is using compilers that are NOT even questionable, alongside developing more piwerful predictive systems that are indeed quite controversial in the extended books. It's worth noting that while we see things seem to use circuitry, nothing inanimate is ever autonomous except for...guided missiles (Duh!!!!)
What about the spacing guild? The navigators would be the player behind the shadows, wouldn't they?
8 дней назад+1
Not really. All that matters to the Guild is the spice flow, economy that never stops and their monopoly to space travel. They don't have any political agendas, they don't really care what Landsraad or Emperor or any other faction do aslong as spice is flowing. P.S. Forgot to mention, the Guild is still very young at this stage and the whole timeline is very complicated because there is Original timeline and timeline from Expanded universe, which we must use here. So, Javicco Corrino's rule started in the year 9 AG (after Guild creation), thus Guild cannot be older than roughly, what, say...60 years? The fact the Guild was formerly known as Foldspace Shipping Company complicates the matter even more...
It's a small nitpick, but IIRC in the books undergoing the agony only granted the memories of their ancestors up until the point that they gave birth to the next generation because the memories are passed on genetically. So Lila-as-Dorothea wouldn't remember her death or the events leading up to it. That sort of derails the whole plot though, so I get why they changed it.
i believe the entirety of the dream is up to self interpretation. It can easily fit Paul, Leto II, and Desmond. I could be totally wrong but I’d like to think so
Desmond should have been a Tlailaxu before they mutate themselves into little goblins. They talk about Tlailaxu attempts to make a Kwaizats Hederach. This would explain why they view Leto as a Prophet, like Desmond he is also born twice, once by surviving "inside" a worm.
My outside shout is that it’s linked to Erasmus, irregardless of the debate around the prequel books his character is an interesting one and he’d have the wherewithal to do something so dangerous. In the books he’s known for wearing a cape and had even created a human body for himself cloned from an adopted son and mentat. It’s unlikely, but it would be interesting to see Erasmus in the show laying foundations for an AI return
As i was confused to were i should start to see Dune movie its more confusing Anyone please suggest me were should I start and buy list our time of relase or how can I watch the movies 😅😅😅
I just finished this season. It felt cohesive to the films and books. I've read the original books and most of the prequels. It was interesting to see the early Bene Gesserit. They are less refined. There is nothing of the Guild in this. This could be the 3rd power, but Ix is more logical.
Erasmus likes experimenting on humans, and since he is still around in the book, I am wondering if that is, who did it to Desmond. And the cloaked figure is Gilbertus Albans

Say that to Tula. Somehow I feel she had real emotions toward Orry Atreides, but killing him and other Atreides is loyalty to her house.

What about the spacing guild? The navigators would be the player behind the shadows, wouldn't they?
I love their friendship 😂
It's a small nitpick, but IIRC in the books undergoing the agony only granted the memories of their ancestors up until the point that they gave birth to the next generation because the memories are passed on genetically. So Lila-as-Dorothea wouldn't remember her death or the events leading up to it. That sort of derails the whole plot though, so I get why they changed it.
Excellent Office stich😂
You guys this show deserved a breakdown for each episode
Your mom loves her job too, she's always on her back!
I think we are seeing the Tleilaxu with Desmond
Kyle MacLachlan and Sean Young are like wtf
Why wasn’t this show covered? You literally only did episode 1 and the finale
The video probably had low views, so they didn't see the need to cover the other episodes if they were gonna have low views too
Lol love the crossover at the end 😅
I wanted them to say 'fear is the mind-killer'
atreides harkounen corrion on the same team together again against thinking machine is insane
i believe the entirety of the dream is up to self interpretation. It can easily fit Paul, Leto II, and Desmond. I could be totally wrong but I’d like to think so
bro just forgot Dune existed all this while
Just remember, when reality begins to resemble Dune, that it all started with self checkout and chatbots.
Dang!!! You're telling me Ragnar Lothbrok is the OG Kwisatz Haderach!?!?
Desmond should have been a Tlailaxu before they mutate themselves into little goblins. They talk about Tlailaxu attempts to make a Kwaizats Hederach. This would explain why they view Leto as a Prophet, like Desmond he is also born twice, once by surviving "inside" a worm.
Now you cover dune after making me listen to Paul all season long?
My outside shout is that it’s linked to Erasmus, irregardless of the debate around the prequel books his character is an interesting one and he’d have the wherewithal to do something so dangerous. In the books he’s known for wearing a cape and had even created a human body for himself cloned from an adopted son and mentat.
It’s unlikely, but it would be interesting to see Erasmus in the show laying foundations for an AI return
I worry that in trying to make the show lore deep and rich, they actually just lose track of the meaning and plot web.
I really loved this show. You see some complaints that it’s “too complicated” but I think that’s fine! It’s impossible to please everyone
The cloaked figure is Erasmus, not Omnious
Did Tula know that Kieran Atreides is the one who left when she killed bunch of Atreides?
My Reddit post weeks ago called Desmond being from the machines
As i was confused to were i should start to see Dune movie its more confusing
Anyone please suggest me were should I start and buy list our time of relase or how can I watch the movies 😅😅😅
I just finished this season. It felt cohesive to the films and books. I've read the original books and most of the prequels.
It was interesting to see the early Bene Gesserit. They are less refined.
There is nothing of the Guild in this. This could be the 3rd power, but Ix is more logical.
21:40 that aged well
17:22 “but” 👀
Erasmus likes experimenting on humans, and since he is still around in the book, I am wondering if that is, who did it to Desmond. And the cloaked figure is Gilbertus Albans
First mentat? I highly doubt it, he's already dead during series.
Will Alejandro Jodorowsky ever be asked to direct or do a collaboration in the Dune film universe?
What does this say about the "farm couple" at the end of the scattering???
Isn’t it more likely that the thinking machine is Erasmus and not Omnius?
Hooded figure….Erasmus, who works with Omnius.
desmond was created by rakela's daughter (who im guessing can see in the future
I predict Valya regains control of the sisterhood by denouncing possession as abomination
Could be! She's one step ahead of everyone
Are these the only two videos this channel did for this show??? First episode and last??? I can’t find anything for episodes 2-5 whatsoever.
What did I miss? Why is Ryan in the TV now?
where was the ester eggs videos for the series?
Its refreshing when a fucking sci fi franchise is what brings shakespearean biblical level writing back to the mainstream.
