Love the trick with the super glue to hold the brass together while you drilled it. I didn't recognize how you would use it but, when you mounted it to the wall on the tiny home I said "Damn pure genius". Your work with just simple wood and brass is art. Keep broadcasting!!
What a clever idea! I can't speak for some of these guys, but I love watching HOW things are done and not so much as WHAT'S being created. It's beautiful brain food! Thank you!
You have to love the mind of a creator and maker! One of the more creative tablet holders I have seen, and certainly much more elegant than any home-made solution I've tried. Thanks Laura!
Beautifully made. I love the well aged surface of your "cutting table"! When the time comes to replace it, you should consider encasing it in resin and turning it into one or more coffee tables.
John Franklin once said "Simplicity, carried to an extreme, becomes elegance." I can't think of a better description of that concept than this project. Well done again, my friend....
Nice shelf. Next one could have a rail system to move it away from the wall for a better viewing angle and a place for a charging cable. Keep building cool stuff!
Beautifully done, Laura! All of your projects with brass are inspiring me to want to make something with it, too. I have a sheet of 1/16" brass in my garage that I had planned for a switch panel in the car, but now that project doesn't seem good enough for it.
Endlich jemand bei RUclips der den Dickenhobel mir Absaugung nutzt... Wie oft sieht man den Sägespäne-Wasserfall. Tolles Produkt und wie immer sieht Messing/Holz super aus. Danke fürs Zeigen
Why do so many people seem to think you made this just for them? "if you would just change this or change that I would be happy" Make it your own damn self, your own way....... Just watch the video, click the thumbs up, and move on. Also if I hear the word practical one more time I'm going to loose it. Sorry to rant, loved it Laura, especially the music choice.
yep, how 'bout "nothin' nice to say, say nothin'"? input is good, but snark for snark sake? I do appreciate "please use safety glasses" not "what a moron for not wearing safety glasses" Yes, internet, yes, I know what you are like, but maybe, just once, can we think "what would Mr. Rogers do?"
How simple ideas can be made simpel but yet brilliantly made. Feels familiar to see uploads without talking again but at the same time i have to get used to it again :)
I follow and watch your videos because of the excellent craftsmanship, video editing, music and creativity. You make things that are atypical and unique, which I enjoy.... Thank you!
At long last a video with the vice solid and not wobbling like jelly .One tip when cross cutting a halving joint and finishing with a chisel .This makes the surface really smooth .The better way and faster is to complete the process on the bench saw moving blade width at a time ,it's more acurate and gives a brilliant bonding syrface area because its coarser theres actually more surface area and bonds better.Do a test sample of both and check it out .LOVE THE VIDS.
Beautiful video as always, the design is totally clever, the construction is lovely, those brass screws are awesome and I love the music! 5 out of 5 stars!! And a couple of thumbs up! ;)
+Laura Kampf & mike maybe consider a phone case called a loopy, I swear it's the best investment i've ever made. Their company motto is Stop the Drop and it's such a convenient addition to any phone :) ive not smashed myself in the face with my phone in a very long while :P

Such a great project. Not overbuilt, not overthought, but still really elegant and skookum. That's what good design is.
I've found this channel today....Thank you Laura for all the inspiration in every video !!!
What a clever idea! I can't speak for some of these guys, but I love watching HOW things are done and not so much as WHAT'S being created. It's beautiful brain food! Thank you!
Laura you are a great inspiration and my 7year niece likes watching your videos and yesterday she started learning to mig welding
You have to love the mind of a creator and maker! One of the more creative tablet holders I have seen, and certainly much more elegant than any home-made solution I've tried. Thanks Laura!
You make some cool stuff and love how you mix wood with metal
Nice build. I think you produce probably the most relaxing build videos on RUclips. Thank you.
Really brilliant storytelling, you're as skilled with videography and editing as you are with making.
Laura back on brass! Whooop whooop!
Love that style of countersink, didn't think they would work on metal. Great video like usual.
I think this is a fabulous idea. The shelving can be put up in many ways to suit which way you prefer to see your I-pad/ have your bookshelf.
i think this video is all about what "do it yourself" is about, nice video Laura - thank you !!!
Really cool project, once again. The cut, the music, the composition... on point, as always. So great to watch them Laura, thanks for sharing!
Brass and wood, such a great combination. Classy.

Beautifully made. I love the well aged surface of your "cutting table"! When the time comes to replace it, you should consider encasing it in resin and turning it into one or more coffee tables.

It’s an open forum mate.
If you are afraid you might see other opinions that you disagree with you could also just move on.
It isn't the "opinions" that I have a problem with, and I'm not your mate.
