- A good stuffing makes or breaks Thanksgiving dinner. At its simplest, stuffing is a seasoned bread cube mixture of onion and herbs. Traditionally it's stuffed inside the bird, but we prefer to bake ours in a separate baking dish. Click the link below for the full recipe and instructions.

Next can you do a sweet potato soufflé with the marshmallows.
I'm South African, Thanksgiving is foreign to me and I've always wondered about that particular dish. Marshmallows and sweet potato??? Together?!
We're doing that next week, actually! Though I'll never truly understand why we put marshmallows on our sweet potatoes, haha.
Lydi I’m South African as well! Came to Seattle about a year ago and had my very first Thanksgiving here! 2nd one on the way. I can tell you that stuffing is delicious! And this recipe looks a lot like the very first stuffing I tasted. But I’ve never heard of this sweet potato soufflé with marshmallows.. Sounds like it could be interesting
Lydi I’ve always wondered about it too! Is it eaten as a dessert??!! 😂
I am from Italy we don't have thanksgiving either, it is only a US holiday. In Italy we keep it simple and genuine, in the US they add too many useless ingredients and put sugar everywhere, that's why they end up being overweight. Many add extra salt at the table when it was already added in the recipe. My cousin's husband doesn't even know if salt is needed because he adds more before he even tastes it.
arrivagabry fuck off and stop being a snob.
This looks like the perfect recipe for first-time "stuffers" like myself.
Best video, straight to the point and not too much talking.
I absolutely love stuffing, I can eat the whole box of it and that's my dinner.
I watched this recipe and made it for thanksgiving. Everyone loved it and now have requests to make it for Christmas Dinner tomorrow. Thanks so much!
Did you make the stuffing with or without the sausage?
Did you make the stuffing with or without the sausage?
@@ghostofreality7235 in the past year I’ve tried it with sausage and it was too heavy on the stomach. As a main dish it’d be great but as a side the sausage is just too much.
I’m making it in 2021 with Italian sausage.
It’s so simple as well. I’m making it right now.
clear and easy instructions, you're the Best! i''v seen this three times now and hope to try it tomorrow for the Play Offs!!
I make this recipe every year for Thanksgiving absolutely love it.
Me, too! Every year... And anytime I'm feeling Thanksgiving-y at other times of the year.
Hi. I'm Brazilian, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I would love to try thanksgiving food. Love the recipe
My favorite video to rewatch every thanksgiving. This recipe never fails me
What is the exact recipe?
I'll try this thank you. You have a great personality.
Amazing, this is my second time making this stuffing. The first one ended up with my son's girlfriend because they were supposed to bring stuffing, everyone loved it. Thanks!
Wow it looks so simple and delicious!
I made this last year for my family and they loved it! Can’t wait to make it again
I use parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme often. I call it my "Scarborough Fair" blend!
Yes, I just made this with Jimmy Deans sausage and this is by far the best recipe I've ever made it was so Delish!
Thank you and I also made this without the eggs.
This looks so good and simple. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this recipe. Looks delicious 😋
Girl, I love your recipes! !

Thanks to this video I fixed my errors in making stuffing. Thanks!
My family literally lost their minds over the stuffing last year my brother-in-law talked about it for 6 months straight my husband said this year make three batches of it. LOL I guess they liked it. It was also the first time in my life I didn't make stove top thank you Mom and Dad and for growing up in the 70s
People are expecting stovetop but I’m going to make this with sourdough bread just like she did 😁
that is some yummy stuffing
Absolutely lovely!
I'm anxious to taste a stuffing with eggs added. I like a stuffing that's super colorful with lots of celery, corn and olives. Thank you so much.
3 year in a row i follow this and it always comes out tasty
You nailed it.
Last year I made this recipe and it was delicious. My husband is a cook and he is very observant with food and gave it 10😊. Now look for it again to do it this year.
Did you make the stuffing with or without the sausage?
Delighted, trying this nxt month. Looks 😊. Thanks for sharing
This is the best recipe I have ever made!Thank you so much!
Can you share the recipe?
Thank you great stuffing
That stuffing looks so good I never made my own homemade stuffing before I always use the box stuff but this recipe is make me want to make this thank you wish me luck
Making this today!
Looks easy enough, but I can mess up any recipe real good when given the chance, lol. I will give this one a try. Thank you for posting.
Thank you for saving thanksgiving (Canadian)
I had no celery so I used the stem of the brocolli and cauliflower - used the food processor to minced it. It turned out great - my boys didn't even know that I had broccoli/cauliflower stems in it and it wasn't overbearing. Also had a few flakes of red peppers. Wonderful
Yum and thank you
It’s so good I added turkey sausage amazing
This is the stuffing I make every year but I don't add eggs, and I do add chestnuts in the mix.
What would I do without Delish.
Very delicious 👍👍👍
Delicious
Ever since I be made this recipe, I’m I charge with the stuffing. I’m so happy because in Hungary we don’t eat stuffing. And my American husband and his family says I have the best stuffing. I also reduce the chicken stock so the top is crunchy but the middle is nice and moist without being mushy ❤️
I like to add pecan pieces. Yummy!
Looks good. I tried homemade stuffing last year, it came out terrible. Maybe I'll try a re-do this year. Thanks for the video.
OH MY GOODNess Thank You! !!!!
I’m keeping it simple this year - this is the dressing I will make. Thank you for the recipe.
Aaaaaamazing yummmm made it so happy thank you ❤️
It is rhe best stuffing. I am making this 3rd year in a row.
That recipe + pork sausage = the best
I absolutely love the breakdown of this recipe. I’m going to make a keto version of this. Of course with a keto bread recipe I have. Super excited. Thank you.
Hahaha doing the same.
How did it turn out? Could YOU make a video????
I give honest reviews. We did make this and it was delicious. We used keto bread from Walmart, which only have 1 carb per slice. I will make this every Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Thank you
I had to look at my search history from last year.
I made it last year and this was delish
Mi first time making american Thanksgiving dinner btw she mah new fave cooking youtuber
I Love your expresións 😄
You can use croutons instead of drying out bread crumbs overnight. Croutons are the same as stuffing.
Pepperidge farm has some great flavors. Love their sage & onion brand.
@@emerald9578
Me too.
YUP! Very herb-y, but delicious 😋! It was simple. I did omit all the salt & just added regular chicken broth and that gave it plenty of salt!!
This is pretty much identical to the dressing we make but instead of baking it in a pan we shape it into a loaf on well greased foil, folding the foil down on the top and baking. It doesn’t take as much room in the oven and it’s crispy all the way around and soft in the middle. Our favorite part is slicing the leftovers and frying it in butter ( more butter!). Yum!
Screen shot saved today might have to try this..great idea
I’ve never added egg to stuffing before, but I wanna do it this year!! ❤️
thank you im preparing this for tomorrow
My 1st video Nice presentation , Now I got to get fresh herbs making it today.
Can you put the mixture in the crockpot with the bread and cook on low for 4-5 hours?
Hi - you're sweet. I rarely add my two cents - but you asked....my mom's stuffing, she started with a big pot ( like a soup pot) and cooked the Italian sausage first, then sautéed the vegetables like you did, then added the bread cubes right into the pan....stir, stir, stir.....add the stock and cooked it all on the stove adding more stock as she stirred till the bread was all partially soggy and even distributed. It all soaked up. I really don't remember her ever adding eggs and baking it. I'd die to have a dish of that stuffing right now......Thank you so much for showing your way. You seem very friendly ♡
Never eggs here either, also I still stuff my bird,it's always delish!
I put some mozzarella cheese as a second layer of my stuffing, makes it super awesome
I added fried, crumbled sausage also.
looks a lot like what I've planned to do, 'cep I bought a carton of mushrooms. going to slice 'em and add them to the party. Loved watching you do what you do.
Yum and Yum! 👍🏻
I like Bells Seasoning and I like to use the tops of the celery and some green onion. Honestly the most important thing is butter. That makes the stuffing great
You forgot bacon.
I made this with Gordon Ramsey’s turkey and potatoes. Perfect! Hailing from Colombia. Edward
cranberries would be good in there as well
So I like adding venison maple breakfast sausage and cranberries also to Mt stuffing
Happy Thanksgiving ❤😂 I got to have mushrooms and apple yum
Incluir subtitulos en español, también deseamos hacer sus platillos. Gracias.
Looks awesome! I use bacon instead of sausage though.
It’s my first time to make stuffing. Can we make the stuffing the night before?
Before cooking I add raisins to my stuffing. That little bit of sweet is delicious.
I like that idea I think I might incorporate that into my stuffing this year or even some dried cranberries. Happy Thanksgiving
🤢
............... no
Hi! Happy November. Was wondering if I can make this a few hours before my gathering (or night before) and reheat in the oven before serving? 🥰
I make mine one to two days ahead and then I put it in a casserole dish the morning of and I heat it on the day of.
Looks great! I’m going to add chopped apples and cranberries
Eww 😷
I do the same as you. I add cranberries and raisins and pecans
I also add apples.
You're very good Chef. How do I know? So am I.
I like it... not a lot of work but a big reward...yeah..lots of butter...thanks....
Just made this Christmas morning. I noticed you like ice cream cones:). Thanks for the video. We’ll see how I did later today. In fridge now till I bake later. Hope that’s ok.
Hey, did baking it later turn out ok
Making it again this year ;)
Can I please have the recipe quantities for the stuffing thank you.
Hilarious at 0:53 I played it over and over. And over.
Who here for ready for thanksgiving meals
HOW MUCH OF THE ROSEMARY THYM PARSLEY AND SAGE ARE YOU PUTTING IN. I DONT SEE THE FULL RECEIPT
Excellent..just like Momma's.To me this is a classic, personally I don't like the stuffing recipes with apples or sausage or cornbread, they seem so heavy with turkey. This one is a perfect and even better when it's baked in the turkey. I know they say not to do that but look, I ate turkey with baked in stuffing for over 60 years, never got sick and the flavor baked in is fantastic.
If you're taking about the supposed flavor of the stuffing , imparted by the turkey fat, it just ain't so.
You see, the cavity of the turkey is covered from the inside, which also protects the ribs.
It acts like a condom- nothing IN and nothing OUT, flavor-wise.
I pretty much make this exact recipe, but I add small diced apple. I like the sweetness with the celery.
Nicely done..I’d probably add som pecans and dried cranberries just to add color.
So u can ad sausage would be great right
Love it!
Thanks for a great video
Can you prep it the day before and then throw it in the oven?
I do this.
lactose intolerance sucks but that looks delish!
How much are noon and celery do you use
How many cups of bread cubes do you use. And how much celery and onion please. Happy Thanksgiving
Hey so I used roughly a whole bag of the herb stuffing bread cubes it’s store bought but it worked out for me
