    After 4,000 miles I'm still loving my 2024 X. Build quality on mine is near perfect, and the horn in the middle of the round steering wheel is great, though I still don't care for the turn indicators on the wheel. Once the price came down to the point where the X qualified Federal tax incentives I was sold.

    Great video. One thing to note if you ever do a 1 year update is that on 2023 Model X the front doors now only barely open since they removed the ultra sonic sensors. They only open a fixed 10 degrees when before they would open 20-45 degrees.

  • @kattmd8294
    @kattmd8294 10 месяцев назад +2

    I agree, there is absolutely no excuse for having a 360-degree camera or being able to access the front camera at will. My other camera's (firmware 4) are seen in real time on screen, but not the forward camera. I have this on my Infiniti and it is wonderful. You can make sure you will clear any parking space cement obstructin, and when pulling out and going forward again it shows you if you will clear the debris or curbs. To me the 360-degree camera is a safety feature when I park and get out, especially to the grocery store at night. For safety reasons I want to be able to lock all doors immediately after getting into the car. My X will not do this without me accessing the screen ->controls-> and by this time I can be dragged out of my car and have it stolen. "Come on Tesla engineers...you know you are so brilliant...grant access to those cameras for safety sake!"

    I have no desire to transport people so I would order it with the minimum 4 seats LOL.
    My dream SUV (I think, I have to sit in one first and see if my 6ft 4 frame with bad lower back is comfy in the car) is a 4 seater Plaid. Just the basic car as is. In red or blue with the light interior. Also, think for maximum leg room and visibility of instruments I would want the yoke wheel. That super flat bottom would be amazing for thigh room - hopefully! I also find in every car I have ever driven to this date, (at 50yo I have owned 20 cars), because I have the seat at lowest setting and wheel at highest to accommodate my legs, the bottom of the instrument panel is ALWAYS obscured. Every darn car thus far bar none. This looks like it could completely solve that issue for me.

    • @jamesmerryman
      @jamesmerryman 11 месяцев назад

      Nice! If you end up going with the Plaid it only comes in the 6 seat configuration.

    • @teddym2808
      @teddym2808 11 месяцев назад

      @@jamesmerryman I think I am going to save a lot of money and get a model y performance with an aftermarket hud. I really like it and I fit comfortably and it's a more compact SUV. It's also 110K here in AU vs 200, I can't see almost double the cost in the Model X.. Considering it's only for me and not a family, the model Y will be fine.
      Or a GV60 performance. I am not sure yet. The GV60 is really posh inside and the same money as the Y performance but a tad "slower". But that interior.......
      Still happy with my ICE Cupra for now till I decide on my first EV, want to be really sure of my choice when it happens.
