I currently have a Pixel 1 watch and my daily go to is a Galaxy watch 6 Classic. I agree with you in that the Pixel watch is beautiful and it's ui is super pleasing to use. However, another factor is software. I was a Fitbit user for years before Google purchased it. They removed a lot of features that people loved Fitbit for. Now I'm a Samsung user.
Pixel watch is way below Galaxy watch. But I prefer Huawei watch, because Pixel, Galaxy and Apple watches have poor battery. One or two days is unacceptable.
I switched from the PW2 to the larger PW3, and the upgrade in battery life is insane. I'm ending each day with like 70 percent battery left. Pretty insane to think we got to this point only two generations after the original PW couldn't even make it through a full day.
I recently switched from the Galaxy Watch Ultra to the Pixel Watch 3 45 mm and I have to say, the watch experience is waaaayyy better on the pixel! It just feels more refined.
There is a guy on RUclips called (Quantified Scientist) that does excellent research and placed the Google Pixel 3 watch on par with Apple watches for accuracy #1. Samsung wasn't even close. I must say wife and I just got the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and love 'em! Find that channel! @@juanmiranda4054
And just so you know recently, it seems like my watch now informs it when it's 100% charged... Since I know you mentioned you wish they would add that. I guess Google paid attention to your video LOL
I don't know if you know, but if you wear the watch on your right wrist, but want the crown facing towards your hand, you can flip the screen orientation in the watch app. You'll have to reverse the wrist straps though.
I had the same issue as you with the download bug. It's because of a bad update/download from an app on the app store. What I did was go to the recent apps and see which app was causing the problem. I then uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. This worked for a short time until the app tries to update again, so I had to turn off the automatic app update and never got it again.
A great start to improvements compared to Pixel Watch 1 and 2. Google needs to keep this up for future smart watches. -- But google still needs to reduce the Bezel !!
i been debating pixel or galaxy watch fe but since we have on the LITERAL same hello kitty bandaid, I trust you lmao i love how the pixel looks but i been worried about swapping
thank you for the video , i have just one question , when you pair the pixel watch to the Galaxy phone , can you use all the features ? or some features work only with pixel phones ?
watch look so good but a protector will be a must i remember my fitbit versa 2 got hit multiple times and had scratches on all edges so now rocking galaxy watch 7 with spigen case
I feel like I would shatter that within a day while at work. I’ll stick with the galaxy watch 5 pro (that thing can take a beating). The pixel watch does look pretty classy though
I had the pixel watch 2 with a Ringke case and screen protector. Got knocked around alot at work and had no damage. The size was perfect for work but the speaker to make calls was rubbish. So traded it in for the watch 7 40mm.
You touched on two things that made me leave the galaxy watch line, in the first minute of your review. The sharp edges of the design and the flaring of the bands. Couldn't sleep well with those edges and hated the gap between my waist and the band because of that flare. Great review. Why it took so long to drop? google had some great trade-in promos for pre orders. This might have helped some folks.
Hi Thao, I tried to find you by ins but seems I can't find you. I love your review, I will go with the Pixel Watch 3 41mm like you, my wrist is 160cm so I might fit with the 41mm, or do you think I should go with the 45mm?
I have the GW4, and I've been using it with the A52 5G before and now with the Pixel 8. On both, when the watch is fully charged, I get a notification. Did they remove it in the GW7?
I like the simplicity of the PW3 45 mm as it's just clean. Battery life has been pretty good as I get 4 days out of my PW3. Now the watch bands are cheap AF, but that's what Amazon is for. I can't comment on fitness as I personally find that a gimmick as that bloat was removed and disabled on my PW3. Definitely doesn't out perform the Galaxy Watch Ultra when it comes to the smoothness of the OS. Both watches serve different purposes anyway.
Thao is my bih ! I always like her content when I Am catching up on my Tech - Tech ain't been techin' lately - these corps are in cahoots HAHAH they not competiting like they used to, largely because the advancements cant keep up with demand that cant keep up with their prim goal of profit - Iook at the last several "updates" from Apple & Samsung - heck, Google - lol these companies are secretely meeting lol
Interesting the watches show the differences in the companies. The pixel looks nicer but I think the galaxy current watches might be more useful. Software is always a problem.
Only 3 years of updates? So I pay $399 and toss it out after 3 years? That's not environmentally friendly. That's the sad state of smart watches. I have old school analog watches that just need a new battery every 10 years, it charges via light and last forever! Honestly I still like my Fitbit Sense watch but seems Google has been sabotaging the integrated Google Assistant so it won't work, keeps disconnecting within the Fitbit app no matter how I reconnect it. I get 5-7 days of battery still! I hate that Google won't be releasing any new Fitbit watches more than likely will be shutting it all down. So once my Fitbit Sense dies I'm out of the smart watch scene.
5:18 can someone tell me how to enable these stress notifications on my pixel watch (1st gen)? not sure if I can get them on the original pixel watch but if I can I don't know how.
It looks great. It's definitely one of the better-looking watches for Android. It seems to me that if Apple made a round watch, it would look much like this.
Galaxy has sapphire glass, sleep apnea and AGEs which pixel doesn't and you don't have to pay extra for a subscription for the more detailed health, galaxy watch 7 is way better imo
I just ordered my Pixel Watch 3. I'm not sure what I'll do with my Pixel Watch 1. Give it to my niece? A way to avoid banging is on doorknobs would be wearing it military style, with the watchface on the inside of your wrist, or buy Amazon covers for it that shouldn't be too expensive, definitely less so than a new watch/the deductible from insurance replacements. Cheers!
Still holding on to galaxy watch 6 classic, the galaxy watch 7 cannot charge wirelessly to my phone and pixel watch's propriatery charging is a deal breaker
I disagree, I think they named it correctly. Now if next year they release a 47mm, a 48mm, or a 49mm variant; then the XL moniker would be warranted. But next year they need to release a Pixel watch that can compete with the Apple Watch Ultra series.
How are you like the pixel 9 fold. I have the fold 6. We didn't get the first pix9fold in Australia. Which I didn't like anyway. But we have the new one. There seems to be a lot of bezel especially on the cover display. Especially near the hinge. Makes the screen seem off centre.
The thing with the galaxy watch is that Samsung Health monitor doesnt work unless youre also using a Samsung phone. Boo. Its why im switching from a GW5 to the PW3.
Far more accurate than samsung. I m sad even being in galaxy ecosystem i cant buy the watch7 because its inaccurate. Samsung should stop being naive and catch up with Google snd apple on fitness tracking
You can buy protective covers that are plastic for the Pixel watch models I believe. At least I got one for my Pixel watch 1 after putting a small chip in it from hitting the doorknob. Ugh. You can imagine the words that escaped my mouth 😂 I forgot what else I was going to mention but depending on the ecosystem too will help determine your watch choice. Plus the Pixel watch 3 will alert first responders of your pulse stops and you're incapacitated. I dunno it the Samsung watches do that but I know they have fall detection I believe. I'm 53 and have been taken in an ambulance for heart issues once but my heart is mostly ok now. So I'd like to upgrade soon. Great reviews as always. Thorough and unbiased!
In the video, "Pixel Watch 3 Review: Better Than Galaxy Watch 7?", Thao Huynh shares her experience using the Pixel Watch 3, particularly the 41mm version. She covers a range of topics including design, battery life, charging, new features, software updates, app ecosystem, UI, health and fitness tracking. She finds the design elegant and comfortable, but acknowledges its vulnerability to damage. While the battery life remains largely unchanged from the previous generation, charging speed has significantly improved. The addition of an ultra-wide band chip enhances location accuracy and watch unlock features. Thao compares the Pixel Watch 3 to the Galaxy Watch 7, highlighting the smoother UI and cohesive aesthetics of the Pixel Watch, but also acknowledging the Galaxy Watch's durability and software flexibility. She discusses the integration with the Fitbit app for health and fitness tracking, expressing appreciation for features like daily readiness score and cardio load. Overall, she concludes that the Pixel Watch 3, especially the 41mm version, offers incremental upgrades over its predecessor. The key selling point for this generation is the introduction of a larger 45mm size option with longer battery life. While the Pixel Watch 3 is a stylish and functional smartwatch that pairs well with Pixel phones, she notes its lack of repairability as a drawback.
I had to give you a thumbs down for this. I really like the new watch 3, it is very intuitive for my work out needs. You really cut your video short on the things that matter to a lot of us. Otherwise, most of your videos are great and have followed you a long time, Keep it going Thao.
The curved screen of the pixel watch what made me trading my pixel 7 for a Samsung phone and a watch 7. There's zero chance the pixel watch won't be damaged . You can't even get a proper tempered glass for it.
Id love a smart watch but they're still far behind where I need them to be with battery life. I want the display always on with 5+ days of battery. Everything else looks incredible but charging a watch over and over with proprietary chargers? Nah... It needs to work on any wireless charger.
I really appreciate your efforts! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
🔴Pixel Watch or Galaxy Watch, which design do you like better?
I want the rotary ring back for Samsung if they keep this industrial design. Else the pixel watch looks a lot better and gorgeous.
Im happy with my galaxy watch ultra ❤but the pixel watch 3 45mm looks great

You should put both on if you can but most people agree the larger one is better due to the increased battery life
Can we get pixel watch 3 vs huawei watch gt 5 vs galaxy watch 7
Noticed you are wearing the 45mm. I got the 41mm and it is too small so I returned it. Planning to get the 45mm.
She's wearing the 41mm, she just has tiny wrists
Did you wear both the GW7 and PW3 at the same time? How did their heart rates compare? The PW3 is supposed to be very accurate. How off was the GW7?
I have the GW4, and I've been using it with the A52 5G before and now with the Pixel 8. On both, when the watch is fully charged, I get a notification. Did they remove it in the GW7?
I was talking about the Pixel Watch not having that feature. It's always been there for Galaxy Watches 😊
