    I've used these a couple of times over 20 years. Saved my butt. I remember the supply outfit guy saying "they're not guaranteed to work every time", which I took to mean 'be really careful'. First one was a 4" sanitary line, and thank the spirits it worked great. Worth every penny even for a single use.

    Thanks for sharing this really nifty tool! I've seen other videos on youtube showing how they use fire, hot guns or cut the inside pipe. This is the best method. I just ordered this tool. Let's hope it works well.

    I can't even count how many times I could have used that too!
    EDIT: I just ordered through your link. Got the 11/2" and the inside cutter.

    thank for sharing your knowledge , what may work is if the ball valve is leaking from the stem in some cases ,operate the valve a slightly and over extend the travel while tapping with a rubber mallet

    Thanks for the demo. I'm an amateur who works as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. I get into all kinds of situations working on new houses and rehabs. Great technique to have in my arsenal.

      kdbergin you could easily heat it up with a torch but if it's a sewer pipe put a wet rag down the pipe first heat the pipe inside and pull out with pliers. Or cut slits in it with a hacksaw blade and use a thin flathead screw driver and remove like that as well I do it at least once a week

    don't they make one in 3/4"? I'd like to use it to ream out a 3/4" t so I can slip it on my supply line in a tight space so i dont have to bend the old pvc lines too much.

    • @kingalthe1st160
      @kingalthe1st160 5 лет назад

      Torch seems like it could be overkill? I use a heat gun. Just took an old fitting off a sewer line in a hairy location to bring it up to code and relocate toilet. Saved a lot of time and hassle by not cutting all the way back to the stack.
