“That would be awesome! So probably not!” LMAO
I just came here to write the same comment 😂😂
Same 😂
same :)
"That would be awesome, so definitely not." 😂
Just came here to write the same comment 😂
I love a good old fashioned version of Mickey Views News!
$250k? That’s just 5 days worth of popcorn bucket sales for DisneyWorld😂😂
Probally not even a day of those sales.
The Tiana logs would have been a great place to add a small Ray with a basic lighting effect. Just imagine the log at night with a small firefly light in the front.
That would’ve been awesome. So they definitely wouldn’t do it!
That would have been great but nah Disney wouldn’t ever do that, look what they did with the paint covering up where briar rabbit was, you would think they could have afforded to just continue and give the whole boat a new coat of paint smh 😂
Had a lot of hopes for this and am a big P&F fan, but it's looking more and more like they're doing it on the cheap.
@@adamp2384Yeah that log reminds me of this coaster at Six Flags great escape where they only re-painted the coaster where it’s visible from the walkway.
@@adamp2384 At the bare minimum, you'd think they would at least replace the Brer Rabbits on the boats with frogs.
@Brayden, when you visit Moana Journey of Water, be sure to check out the dirt, dinginess and rust under the canopy of Tron!
Drones at AK! They need a nighttime show and I dont think they'd interfere with the animals much!
Yeah much better than fireworks
I think the whirring node of the blades might make some animals crazy. It's a lower frequency noise, so it would likely be a problem for the animals at night in the dark.
@@gregorycerven3484depends what direction they fly in from. Everest direction has little to animals. They would only be in the air for less than 1 hour. I don’t see it being a total killer.
Would give a new use to the old Kite Tails water amphitheatre next to Everest
Many ppl chip in in opinions about this and that but here I am thinking how many ppl around the world who wished they could even get to experience Disney.
Dollywood has a night time drone show it's amazing, I'm shocked Walt Disney World is falling behind with such new technology
there not behind on technology there technology is way better universal and and Dollywood
I’ll never understand how these parks around the world get all these cool lands green lit but their main park can’t. Crazy
Disney doesn't own the other parks (except Paris). The companies that own the Asian parks seem to be willing to invest in the large scale where Disney is not able to spend or won't spend on North American parks.
Manifesting a SpectroMagic sky parade
Not on a WDW Magic Kingdom’s budget!
They’ll bring back the Main St. Electrical Parade before we ever see a nighttime drone show…
I saw a fully realized, if small-scale, drone show over the lake at Disney Springs years ago. Nice to hear that they've dusted off the idea again.
Disney Springs had a drone show over the lake quite a few years ago. It was impressive at the time but things have changed a lot since then.
I was just going to say that.
Ive been to the drone show in Paris as well as other drone shows and they always leave me sorta board after about 3-5 min. The slow percice movements of the drones drag on and get tedious. At least in an actual parade you can look up and down the street and see things coming, going, or watch the characters. The drone shows you are stuck looking at one show moving object for then another......... Its pretty much a slideshow
Completely agree! There hasn't been a drone show I've seen that wasn't a snoozer! 😴😴
Thats too bad about moana. It really is a charming walk through. Really hoping wdw management smartens up sooner than later
Animal kingdom has no night time experience just a bunch of benches at Asia .I wonder why they can’t just use drones there .I know fire works can’t bc it’s extremely loud .But drone show at the park make visitors stay longer
I loved seeing it in Disneyland Paris I can’t wait to see it in the domestic parks!
I happened to be at DLP at the debut of the Electrical Sky Parade and it’s really great, and the best thing to DLP in a long time.
We happened to be at DLP 30th opening and saw the d-light drone show, just beautiful
@@Petra.Disney I also got to see Marvel drone show at Walt Disney Studios, the first time I’ve seen drone show that close and are that scale, these drone shows are the future.
Disney quest was amazing and I can only hope they bring something like it back. Disney Springs needs something to help with the crowds.
Even when working Moana is very much a budget attraction. The technology is there that they could have done a lot more.
Excited for the next year in the parks! Thank you as always Brayden
RIP my girl Moana, it’s because she’s in the wrong park 💀
she’s not the only at the wrong park.. the Guardians should’ve been at MGM and Indiana Jones shouldn’t replace Dinosaur, it should be at MGM near the stunt show
@@ifightfortheusersGuardians should be in Space Mountain….Imagineers could work on an amazing new Energy Pavilion for EPCOT!
@@ifightfortheusersbut there’s no brown female to prop up that fits in over there.
@@ifightfortheusersIndiana Jones can still be animal themed
Same thing with Zootopia, I know a lot of people wanted that in Animal Kingdom but now I think it belongs in Hollywood Studios because even though the movie does have animals in it, it’s not about conservation and man’s fascination with animals it’s a race allegory about prey and prejudice.
another great video, Brayden. Cheers!
I really want a regular on the ground nighttime parade
Great videos coming from this channel! Thanks
14:40 they should do an imagineering museum. A bunch of concept art and models. Hold classes for urban designing students.
So happy there was a lot of news to discuss this week. Gave me a ton of nostalgia from your hour long news episodes from 2017
great update....you are now the only disney vlogger I listen/watch along with now. Thank you for the best content!! your are talented, gifted, best vocabulary with interest! your parents must be so proud of you.
Amazing! Beautiful!
I'm afraid a drone show means fireworks getting cut. They already heavily cut fireworks at Epcot, it doesn't seem too unlikely a new technology would be used for cost cutting first. Also, drones are used for many reasons, it may have only been taking aerial video of Disney Springs. That's going to happen at Epcot when they eventually finish construction as well, for the new Soarin ending scene.
Great report Brayden
The Electrical Sky Parade is the third drone show we’ve seen at DLP, and these type of shows just keep getting better and better! I really hope WDW take them on board also, they are just too good! ✨
We were at DLP 30th and Disney D-lite drone was fabulous
yay looking so professional!
Thanks for the awesome update Brayden! Kind of sad - but there seems like Disney could do so much with nighttime shows at the parks but chooses not too. In addition to a drone show it would be cool if they expanded the moat around the castle and put in dancing waters like Bellagio and have the fountains interact with everything else. The fountains would also be able to go off periodically throughout the day as well. Same thing with Disney Sprints - that lagoon seems like such a canvas that could be used for a drone show and/or some types of fountains/special effects yet they choose to do nothing with it. Excited to see what Universal does with the fountains and such that they are building!
I’m happy that the Falconbeam moving-head lights are back! they really made the show stand out more with the rest of the lights. I got worried they wouldn’t be replaced when I saw they were gone last year (noticed right away)
Just bring SpectroMagic back to the Magic Kingdom
I've been to Disneyland Paris, that show is amazing no words for that
Very cool
It better be the electric parade like Paris. That show looks amazing!
I loved the holiday drone show too! I hope that we get drones in WDW.
They should do Disney Quest 2.0 with updated VR technology...
I experienced Moana Journey of Water on March 1st, at night, and the water features were operational! It really was something quite remarkable and worth experiencing (especially at night)! 😀
Yay the intro is back! 🕺
We are so far beyond tech wise where we were when Soarin Around the World was created. they really should work on an update to it. Fix some of the wonky visuals
The ride will FOREVER be known as Splash Mountain to me
Oh, how exciting. I remember the Christmas Drone show that they had at Disney Springs for a short time years ago! :-)
if the drone was tested at Disney Springs then I think we can safely assume that's where the show will end up. adding a night time show there also has the added benefit of keeping guests there longer and spending more money at all the shops/restaurants
Forget escape rooms, bring Boston's Level99 type of challenge arcades.
I used to LOVE Soarin over California, but the last time I went they didn’t even have the orange or pine smell. I’m ready for Soarin around the World to come back.
I wish they would bring back the Main Street electric parade so bad. The drones would be cool and different but I want the original. I loved that parade for some reason it’s got a special place in my heart
I cant wait for the Drone Show in 2031, its gonna be great.
The demolition of The NBA Experience is the perfect analogy for Bob Iger's Tenure as CEO of the company.
Imaginerrings been doing so well, broken lights at Epcot, Epcots Central Park, Creepy Walt Statue, substandard construction, materials, and maintenance, those investments sure are showing.
We got to experience Moana and it was fun but everything was working. The water curtain was cool and I know my family really like the “playful” water. Considering how long we had to wait/walk around construction, I hope things get worked out.
I did the walk through of the Moana experience. The only cools effects are the ones that are broken which is unfortunate. (Although at least they heat the water which is nice lol)
Well Brayden,
When you show what has been seen and don't make a whole bunch of guarantees it helps in your reporting on things.
And you are only showing pictures of drone test spotting and sharing hopes of what you hope that it turns into without guaranteeing anything.
Also this could be that Disney is doing this while trying to maintain the vail that they no longer have in this digital age with social media, etc. just in case this winds up failing.
With that said, major props for keeping it real.
- Dwight
The good: Great job reporting Brayden! I always love seeing that one of your videos has been uploaded. You do a wonderful job!
The bad and sarcastic:
I just loved how they grinded off the rabbit on the Splash boats to replace them with absolutely nothing at all.
And then to know some are still sinking. Sounds about right.
another banger
Bring the drone show to Animal Kingdom! They can’t do fireworks because of the animals and have needed a nighttime spectacular for a while (ever since Rivers of Light closed). Drones feel like the perfect solution to get a wow factor for a nighttime show without disturbing the animals.
Disney Quest 2.0 would b AWESOME.
I think a drone show would do well in Animal Kingdom. That park has always struggled with a Nighttime spectacular because they can't do a Firework show because of the Animals. I think it would be the perfect solution and wouldn't flop like Rivers of Light.
I was just at Epcot After Hours event on 2/8 and you’re right. Certain parts of the Journey of water attraction was not working as per usual smh 😅 And I brought my friend to see it for the first time that night…we did get to walk through the dry path where the water disappears around you but overall it was good but yeah there’s always something not working it seems like.
14:58 i went on Soarin Over California twice last week when i was there and neither time did i smell oranges, it seemed like they just repurposed the smells from Soarin Around the World
Interesting. As long as they don't eliminate the fireworks and replace with the drones, im all for something new, but i agree with previous poster, igt would be a great addition to AK. EPCOT maybe. I found Luminous to be okay, but i wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. Thanks for the update!
I suspected Moana at EPCOT was problematical - the company cheaped out and this is what happens.
Thanks for the update!
Brayden if you recall pre pandemic there were drone shows down at Disney spring during xmas time... so is it for the theme parks or are they going back to recreating what they did for Disney springs ?
The problem with your vlog is that we don’t get enough "Mickey views" shows…Your the best, thanks
Something like teamLab in Tokyo would be perfect in that space.
A 4K Soarin refurb seem like the easiest win
Awesome
I think it would be a cool idea if they were to put the drone show in animal Kingdom then you would have a night time show back at that Park and it would be over water and drones are not near as loud as fireworks 💁
Im predicting a September opening for Tinana. That way they can open it in time for the busy Halloween rush.
What about a nighttime parade at Hollywood Studios? That would be cool
They did already have a drone type show when it was down town Disney as part of Xmas season
I would enjoy a drone show :)
Nice
It would be cool to have drones
everytime i went to florida espn expirence was closed
Thanks Brayden. Best all around news about Disney, the good, bad, and ugly. Still, the parks are my happiest places on earth. Maybe will try a cruise in the future too? 🤔🤔
Does anybody know if they brought back backstage tours at EPCOT? I know they have behind the seeds, but they used to give walking tours of Spaceship Earth like right after park closing I think 🤔. My guess is they might have done away with it because of all the stairs 🤷♂️
They already did a drones show over Disney springs a few years ago. So what’s to test now?
All this week at DLP, there's been no drones because of wind and wet weather. (I know, I just came back from there (23-26th Feb 2024)). So hopefully in the warmer months, there will be more drones.
Also speaking of things that were announced but never came to fruition, the Main Street Theatre project! what even happened to that!?
The rumor at the time was it was diverted to budget new monorails, something else Disney was looking into at the time which also ended up fizzling out. 🤪
@@MickeyViews ha! Go figure thx for the info
You moved out of FL? What live stream was that?
They just announced a drone show for this summer at Disney Springs, so the rumor was true
That view from above Disney Springs must have been taken during the pandemic. There isn't a single car on the road or person inside Disney Springs.... Although, their are cars parked in the surface lots. Weird that you can't see any on the roads though.
That's weird to hear that Walt Disney World is concerned by regulations for flying drones since the ones in France are way more strict than in the USA, so if they're able to do it at Disneyland Paris it should be possible at WDW (the drones don't fly a lot they take of closely to their position for the show)
I wonder how much back and forth with the FAA had to happen before they were even allowed to test drones near that many people.
Brayden…I know it’s all about beyond Big Thunder, but what about the land behind Tiana’s Bayou Adventure? What if they moved those backstage buildings to the other side of the water way? They would have much more property to expand even further?!?! Have you ever thought about that? Would love your thoughts on that.
"That Park Place" gave you a call out. You are the place for news!
Still bummed about the Marry Poppins getting canceled. Would have been nice I think
Dude, please do a review of Cedar Point & the new reimagined Top Thrill 2! Wanna know if it's worth going up there from Tampa! 😅 i heard it's $99 for a season pass. & its a great park!
Please consider it.
Sorin around california was a disappointment after all the hype. We all found it blurry and I even felt some motion sickness to it which I never found with Sorin around the word
I love the drones in Paris….but I don’t believe that drones alone are enough for a Disney night show. Their battery life is too short. I think they should be incorporated into the various aspects but not alone
I liked Disney d-light at Paris but I'm not really bothered about sky parade. Drones are a 'I've seen it now, no need to see it again' sort of thing for me.
I still long for the day Disney parks go back into real night parades because they take creativity and genuine effort.
You are correct that Disney doesn't want to spend a nickel at domestic parks. 60B is to make investors excited but it will not materialize.
Braden, love your take 99.9999% of the time. I have to differ here though. A Sky Parade/drone show is not equitable to a spectromagic or Main street electrical parade. It would be cool, but its not equivalent in the least.
Aw I’m going next year, I hope they get the Moana together I was excited to see it
I prefer the transitions from Soarin' Around The World. It's small, but it's big to me.
Speaking of drones. It would be nice to have a new soarin' filmed at somepoint with less CGI. Soarin; over california can make me a bit motion sick, the freeway flyover is horrible. Also, didn't you just move to Florida recently? Where are you located now?
Could a drone show be possible at AK? I know there are a lot of restrictions due to the animals but that park is in desperate need of evening entertainment.
The NBA thing was always Iger's passion project and doomed to fail. Plus, I'd prefer the Electric Light Parade to come back, thanks! 😂
It's my understanding that Epcot was looking to add drones but couldn't due to local aviation laws. The drones would be flying or would need to fly, over or too close to pedestrian access areas. Disney Springs did a drone show over the lake which was further from guest areas. If that was true information and still holds true, MK Doesn't seem plausible unless they can get the law to change (which definitely isn't likely at this point) but Animal Kingdom and the large show space they have in the water makes a lot of sense, and would probably be a million times better than Rivers of Light was, granted that's setting the bar extremely low. But if it turns AK into a full-day park again, I imagine the financial impact for Disney would be well worth the investment.
I did notice the lights seemed to be back during HEA last week. I really noticed it in the photos/videos I took. Hmmm that's weird all the Moana elements were working last week when we were there.
