Thanks for Watching and Have a Magical Day! - Развлечения
I have said this before and I will say it again, thank you for reporting on this with a very neutral stance. Its hard to find that now-a-days.
He's basically the only news source that reports this way. Professionals should take note s from him on how to be unbiased and just report news
@@mike2865even the other RUclipsrs that aren't corporate news biased are still biased in their own way. Def congrats deserved here.
100%
Its funny you think this channel is not biased.
@@BAM5636 you're a sensitive little Democrat aren't ya?
Brayden, kudos for your unbiased and accurate reporting throughout this entire saga!
Indeed!!
My thoughts exactly
Fully agree.
Exactly…people these days can’t go reporting something without giving their own view on it. Like DSNY newscast etc.
The reality is just the opposite.
This reporting is the most biased and inaccurate coverage.
Realistically, with how consistently over-capacity Disney has been over the last few years, and how easily it would be printing money, Disney needs to build a 5th park AND expand the existing 4.
Completely agree….but they likely won’t do either.
@@SlackerWannaB You know what they will do?
Another DVC!
Disney never had any cleanup issues before…
@@user-li2yv5je5eWhile another DVC is annoying. It's a way to make money and have another flow of income to be able to make more expansions.
Are they over capacity or limiting their staff and slowing down access to attractions to make it appear like larger crowds?
How full are the parking lots daily and their water parks?
I agree with you Brayden that the focus needs to be on the current 4 parks and making some major updates to them.
I could list at least 20 things Disney could and should do to update the 4 parks they have and make them that much better. So many things are outdated and hated.
This is the best explanation of this issue you will find anywhere. Thank You! Glad it’s over.
Disney can't keep up the maintenance & up-keep of their existing 4 parks, how would they handle a fifth park with all new budget cut attractions!?
Exactly.
But maybe they’ll add a fifth park that is basically a themed shopping district where you have to buy a $100+/day ticket to enter to “enjoy”?
It's very hard to believe...
It is easier to build a 5th park than to maintain current parks, it just simply is. It is easier to hire, it is easier to build, it is easier to do NEW. In fact look at Universal Studios, that park is rough.... same with the old parts of Islands, much smarter to be all new.
@EpicLemonMusic if you have money, then it's easier. But maintenance is cheaper than building an entire new park. Disney is lacking maintenance with their parks, and its hard to imagine they could build a brand new park and not give love to their other 4. Specifically Disneyworld. Disneyland, I think has their sh*t together.
Wdym by they can’t keep up the maintenance for their existing parks? Their parks look great and are always maintained the best out of any theme park I’ve ever been to, unless you mean by rarely adding new things.
Things to do instead of a 5th park:
Expand Animal Kingdom
Expand Hollywood Studios
Expand Epcot
Expand Magic Kingdom
Other things to do instead of a 5th park:
-Reopen Closed Attractions
-Build Cancelled Attractions
-Repair Existing Attractions
-Retrain Cast Members
-Remove Bad Guests from Resort
-Bring Back Magical Express
-Make Resort Hotel Rooms Beautiful Again
-Eliminate Lightning Lane, or Restrict the Number of Lightning Lanes Sold to Just a Few Thousand a Day (and Charge a Lot More for the Privilege)
Fix the current attractions. Many of the attractions, including Rise the Resistance, Are partially broken.
Also, many of the buildings and infrastructure need TLC, Minor repairs and paint jobs
just went to animal kingdom saturday , its so damn boring , we prefer epcot and hollywood studios .
@@jackwhitetronROR was down both this past sat and sunday when we were there .
@@johndoe-to2uc Well, Disney is going to be overhauling the Dinoland, USA area soon. Encanto, Coco, and Indiana Jones will soon satisfy people's insatiable lust for IP.
Just want to say thank you for giving us a really well measured, factually based breakdown of the whole situation up to this point. So many headlines trying to twist narratives on either side. I wish people/media weren't so entrenched in this culture war nonsense.

Thanks for the update, Brayden! Excellent reporting!
This young man is so talented! This is some of the best independent journalism I’ve heard in a while.
Never clicked so fast
Great job providing the commentary, clips and article screen shots! Cheers! Keep up the great work!
Excellent breakdown Brayden!!
Brayden, thank you for your candor and clarity. You are the best!
Wow! Excellent reporting 🎉
Great update!
2:03 Simplest answer - they weren’t. That much debt means you need to start planning well in advance of the deadline to figure out who assumes the debt burden (likely assumed by the state b/c Reedy Creek is/was a state-created municipal district), and by October 2022, no planning had taken place yet. That kind of debt transference takes years a best, so I never believed DeSantis was gonna follow through on killing Reedy Creek. I think he was hoping by spring 2023 someone would’ve blinked.
Brayden, this is the most accurate covering of this topic I've heard by ANY of the Disney influencers out there. WDW News has gotten just about all of this information wrong. You nailed it! You remain at the top of my list of Disney influencers to watch and keep up with. Thank you for doing your due diligence and reporting accurately.
Thanks so much for braking everything down. Great content as always.
Brayden. Great job explaining all this!! Thank you!
Brayden - your reports are SO informative and well-thought out and well spoken. I never have to try and wonder what information it is that you’re trying to relay. Such a great update!! Looking forward to watching as this continues to unfold. Overall, these past couple of weeks are the FIRST TIME in over a year that I am feeling even the slightest bit hopeful with Disney news coming out. 🙏🏻
Wow! This video was beyond perfect on all points in how and what it presented. You have absolutely nailed this and I didn't think that would be possible! 👏 👏 👏
This has been incredibly interesting (and mildly hilarious) to follow on this channel. Thank you for your hard work!!
Thanks for the update; I had forgotten about this issue and I live in West Palm Beach, FL with a Universal annual pass. Looks like it's going to be a win-win for all Floridians regardless of political stance and those who visit.
Your reporting of this topic has been amazing!
They wouldn’t have settled unless they knew they had no chance to win.
You’ve just made what seemed impossible: making a comprehensive breakdown of all this mess for a layman to understand. Congratulations!!
Great Report Brayden! Best in the business no nonsense,
Thanks Brayden… I enjoy your unbiased, truthful, detailed, and concise reports!!! Keep up the good work!!! Again Thank you!!!
A fair and balanced analysis from Brayden. I expected nothing less. But folks should know that DeSantis dissolved ALL special districts over a certain age, as those districts were out of line with recent laws. I think the law only affected like 7 districts, but worth pointing out.
Didn’t he just give universal and the villages their own districts? I might be off but I heard that 🤔
@@Jan-kf5ej those districts don’t have the same privileges that RCID had. RCID was established based on the original EPCOT concept of being an actual city. RCID could have built its own nuclear power plant, as an example. None of those special powers were removed even after Disney abandoned Walt’s original concept for EPCOT.
Thanks for the update
Honest as always. Thanks for the update. Can't wait to hear your breaking news D23 sneak peaks!
Great summary. I still curse desantis and the board for all this though.
If only corporate news reported this well, without opinions and politics. Good job!
Best Disney reporting on the web. Great job!
I am thoroughly impressed by how well you navigated this situation without being a simp or a shill. I tip my hat to you good sir.
Outstanding as always!!!!
Thank you for reporting on this 2-year saga, Brayden! The CFTOD board members will have a tough time.
I'm satisfied with this case dismissal and settlement. Disney needs to focus on their domestic resorts, cruise line, and entertainment business. Florida needs to focus on continual economic growth.
It's hard to grow your economy when the state government makes a sport out of bashing economic engines like Disney. Disney itself needs to find a more regulation friendly southern state or territory to relocate to. Lower taxes (they and their customers pay $6,600,000,000.00 per year) and fewer government regulations. The government shouldn't be allowed to punish anyone including companies for their speech. If Disney caves to this socialism, just imagine the type of pressure you or I would be under if we crossed the wrong corrupt politician.
Thanks guy for bringing this….. to light.
Typical Brayden W video. also hilarious to see how other Disney RUclipsrs covered this as a slam dunk for Disney haha😂
Right!!
There are almost zero unbiased Disney RUclipsrs. Brayden is one of the very few. The rest are shills for Disney.
Other channels have to protect their privileged access to Disney. Ask WDWNT...
I’m going to reiterate what many have said. Thank you Brayden for reporting on this in an unbiased and informative manner. Just stating the facts and what they mean. Very much appreciated.
This is very interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing, the video was great and well presented.
The Michael Sasso haircut is something else…
It's the most hideous wig I've ever seen
It appears Disney got what it wanted - a government it can work with instead of a government out to get them. As you may recall (and was left out of the summary) was that DeSantis and the new board wanted more than just regulating roads and sewers around Disney - they wanted to affect the content of Disney media, claiming Disney was too woke.
The lawsuits worked. DeSantis no longer speaks out against Disney (damaging their reputation), and the new board agrees to work with Disney instead of punishing them.
Disney, in return, gives up a contract that, to them, was only necessary when working with a advisory. With the adversarial nature of the relationship gone, the contract isn’t needed.
apparently he has no mirrors in the house
Good report. Thanks!
Awesome video as always!
That was the best, most unbiased breakdown of this whole legal battle I've seen. Thank you!
ty great reporting
i didnt know i had been subscribed to an even moreee premium channel!!! upping your game again and again! this is such a high quality video- thank you for putting in the time!
I was hoping you would give us an update about this
I would love to see the dirt FL found on Disney and told them to get in step or would make it public.
The Great Rat needs
FL never had the authority to effectively create a state within a state to begin with.
Everyone in Central Florida from St. Pete to Daytona Beach knows The Great Rat has always had to much independence.
Amazing what happens when you realize your not moving to Washington DC!
Nah this was going to happen regardless. Most media reporting - how Disney had supposedly outfoxed the Florida state govt and would keep control as long as King Charles’ still had descendants and blah blah blah was wishcasting all along.
Don't forget to mention Disney violated their contract with Florida and was in violation for over 30 years. Served them right.
Thanks Brayden! It's been a long strange road, all right! Hope this signals progress! I guess we'll see!
Thanks Brayden!!!
Brayden, have you heard anything about the D23 event in Brazil? I’m so excited about it I don’t even know what to expect!!!
This is the video I have been waiting for.
Thanks!
I mean, on the one hand, I'm legit curious what Disney would do with a fifth park and it could potentially increase capacity so they can finally get around to fixing those other parks. On the other hand, yeah, Disney's last few renovations and updates to their old parks leaves me with little confidence in regards to constructing a new park. Maybe now they should just settle for new lands, specifically ones that don't replace Dinosaur pretty please!
I’d rather Universal just build another park as soon as they finish Epic Universe.
The video mentioned how Disney "could possibly" go after the board members personally. This was just allowing them to try to not saying how successful they would've been. However, it didn't go into detail one of the big reasons Disney signed this was due to that audit which had disastrous findings for Disney. It was mentioned briefly, but it's huge if true. The new settlement may not allow for Disney to be sued criminally for things found in the audit. For you that have read the audit, you know it's really bad some of the things that have happened behind close doors.
Knowing that the state won't come after them criminally is huge for Disney as more and more of these problems with the audit come out. That being said the audit may bring some civil suits (from residents and others) as well as SEC violations against the company itself. However, at least criminal charges won't be brought. That's big for Disney as those could've been bad personally and for the business brand.
Brayden thank you so much for explaining all of this legal complexity in plain English! And yes it sounds like good news for all of us! 🙂
Brayden I need an update video asap on all the new news I’m way to excited to hear what u have to say
Epic Mickey in the thumbnail hell yea😊
Having Bridget Ziegler on that board is laughable. She is an embarrassment
Excellent coverage as always Brayden. I think a 5th park would be a Awesome idea in the Disney Sports area. Since Disney likes to copy things ? They should copy "Fantasy Springs" like in Japan it would be a perfect go between Magic Kingdom & Downtown Disney. Move the Sporting stuff in the Golfing land area. Keeping sports stuff together. Just a idea. I've always wanted to be a Disney Imagineer even at my old age of 60. LoL. Thank You for everything you do. Keep up the Awesome work. Your fan from Maine. 😀
There are other places they can build. Why move one area and then have to build two lands/parks?
@@TheMess1998 Florida land is notoriously difficult to build. Look at the amount of civil engineering that went into Magic Kingdom. If the land is already prepared and built, it would be massively cheaper than starting with swap-woodland.
Great job, as always. Skyliner expansion as part of this infrastructure approval?
Brayden, Is the CFTOD’s board make up the same as the new Universal district? The number of governor appointed and Universal appointed the same as CFTOD’s governor appointed and Disney appointed.
I realize the RCD was approved before the current Florida constitution took effect and ran against the current FL constitution. However, all districts should be developed equally.
The makeup of the board matters less than the power granted to the district itself. That is why RCID needed to change, and even now, I don’t think the CFTOD and the Universal district are exactly the same thing.
@@mahall85You are correct, they are not the same anymore as Disney's is now more strict and has less power than Universal because the governor controls the Disney district with his appointments at anytime on a whim, unlike Universal. Universal's new district is exactly how Disney's Reedy was with Universal employees exclusively making up the board of supervisors. Disney no longer has that. Shingle Creek, Universal's district, also is a taxing district that will set bonds, just like Reedy was. Shingle Creek already has plans for $170M in bonds for infrastructure that is similar to what Disney constructed around its theme parks with Reedy. So in essence, Universal has what Disney used to have. You spoke of the power that the district has, Universal has that power now. Its own employees controlling the board and Disney has a generally hostile governor-appointed board.
@@gtr82 “Essentially,” LOL. You’re failing to mention that the Universal district was formed under current Florida law, while Reedy Creek was formed in the late 1960s under VERY different circumstances. It doesn’t matter if the Universal district is helmed by the board of directors of Comcast itself, they don’t have the same power that Reedy Creek had, nor would the State of Florida legislature ever grant that kind of power again. It’s apples to oranges, beyond the surface level observation that both are “special districts.”
Before Disney builds a new parks they really need to address the issues with animal kingdom and Hollywood Studios those two parks do not have enough rides at all both of them need dramatic investment. The fact that Disney removed The Great Movie Ride to install that new silly ride to me it's just insane when especially at the time the park needed way more rides than what it has.
Well…crossing my fingers that the Shades of Green problems will be resolved as well!!
Please.
What problems is that?
Why would Disney want to allow the construction of a pedestrian bridge through their property to the monorail station at Polynesian Village which is already very much over capacity?
And to give the cut-rate military family guests access to transportation that is normally reserved for guests staying at their deluxe resorts?
Shades of Green is a privately owned Disney affiliate hotel. The DoD would have to put up the money.
Great job i wish all news was as straightforward as this channel and let the listener make their own opinions
Interesting. I am currently going through IAAPA and WWA classes while talking with the commissioners of Clay County for designing a park in North Florida. I wonder how far it will go
I’m very much a limited government person, but reedy creek was effectively giving favors to a single company with its inception. If there’s one thing I hate more than state overreach, it’s state cronyism (state corporate alliances/favoritism). If a small business is not given the same favors or rights then it’s anti free market. I’d rather the state be the arbiter for all businesses when it comes to development than corporations being allowed to lobby or buy rights that others don’t have. That’s a legitimate discussion on reedy creek and it’s unfortunate this happens around political drama, but I just can’t stand when people go play into the political divide with bad tropes and false equivalencies
Wow! Brayden, I'll go in the same direction to many other comments here, you are doing a great job in clearing those complex documents and this particular complex case. Yes you put yourself with a disclaimer, but it is so clear that you are attempting to stay neutral in all this. Rare these days to see that. You deserve more followers! And thank you for making sense of all this. Keep up the great work!
That 60 B started as 75 B as I recall. And it is 60 B worldwide. Not all in 1/6 of the world of Disney Parks. It is all going to Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris, Sydney
Is their a Sydney park?
I am still kind of recovering from the last D23 and just all the non-announcements. Here’s to hoping there are some actual announcements coming this year!
If Disney would stay out of dictating politics it would be much better off.
Hey Brandon, There are over 1,900 special districts in FL, which I understand operate similar to how RCID operated. It sounds like you’re biased against the previous structure under Disney & RCID. I’m sincerely interested in why it was a good thing (seemingly in your opinion) for the Gov. to treat Disney & RCID differently from the other special districts.
Yeah, also he didn’t understand the settlement and the reason for the state settlement not to include federal actions. Disney got everything they wanted in this deal. The federal action is still an option and that is pivotal because Disney added people individually to the complaints. That means if the fed suit is successful( and it will be) they can be sued civilly.
Disney does not need another hotel. Anther park would definitely give some much needed crowd control. Also agree that upgrading the current parks and building canceled attractions would be great.
It really doesn’t seem like a win for Disney at all when you were tallying up the wins. 😬
Anything with 'Reedy Creek' on it, I'm checking out on eBay.
I wonder if Disney is going to suddenly realize and protest the train stop at Epic Universe…..
Just because CFTOD can’t potentially sue Disney over any past improprieties, doesn’t mean there aren’t other (federal) entities that may be interested in looking into Reedy Creek’s past.
What's the gain?
Literally no federal agencies are interested in this.
@@jason_kucera What do you mean? What many fail (and continue to fail) to realize is that Disney was never supposed to be “in charge” of Reedy Creek, and that RCID was formed to create the city of Epcot outside of Disney’s direct control (because private corporations don’t also run governments in America). The “gain” would be that Disney committed potential fraud by applying for bonds (public money) to build things not designed for public use (theme parks, instead of public infrastructure related to a functioning city). That is illegal, so the “gain” would be self-evident.
Yawn...keep dreaming.
This all had to be resolved before D23, Disney knew that they couldn’t have another crap all “blue sky” event they needed to be able to announce something that will actually happen. Now they can
Central Florida Tourism Oversight District sounds like there is too much government involved in that area. Please change it back or to something more touristy and fun.
Had to make sure this wasn’t posted on April fools day
"THEY MAYBE SHAKING HANDS. HOWEVER, THEIR OTHER HANDS ARE HOLDING DAGGERS."
Great reporting as usual, Brayden but thank God Ronny boy won't be President and I can't wait till he's out of office in Florida.
What I want to see happened to the parks is that they have rights that are not just for skinny people but are for curvy people as well and I want to see them get rid of all of the junk food venues in the park and have healthier food options and don’t charge people an arm and a leg just to go to the park. It should be for everybody and lowered the subscription cost on Disney+ and souvenirs that people want to buy and stop over pricing every single booth and vendor there and just give the employees a raise in their salaries and I would also like to see them add a plus size princess to their princess cast members and prince and I think they should even have people in their 20s 30s 40s play Disney cast characters like princesses Maybe start a nail stamping station in nail Tech station like email towards adults not just kids and they need to make accommodations for people with disabilities work wise. They need to deal with the climate crisis right now. This is insane.
Perfect reporting, well done!
Absurd what was done to Disney resulting in massive job losses of 6 figure income jobs which were pulled. 🤦♀️
"working together" Aka DeSantis punishing Disney next time they express an opinion he doesn't agree with.
Disney shouldn't have made such a political stance in the first place, but DeSantis' reaction is a gross mis-use of power. There has to be more checks and balances to prevent a rogue governor from changing the laws until he gets everything he wants. Especially when he seems to be doing it to boost his political stature ahead of running for president. Shameful. He lost the respect of moderates on both sides of the line.
We need an update video from you on the “Beyond Big Thunder” project @ MK
Great reporting! I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again ~ this whole mess was ridiculous so long as The Villages planning district was allowed to exist untouched.
That was his biggest voting bloc.
The Villages didnt insert themseves into state legislation, did they.....
@@mz610 Why would they when they agree with it? That's the problem. No dissent allowed and you're fine with it.
😊 wow sooooô we free again to b magic Kingdom ✨ 💛 💖
I’m glad that the soap opera finally ended. Now, can Disney focus on something that actually matters? Like getting rid of Bob Iger or improving guest experience at the parks?
You repeated yourself!
Great video but also wildest combover I've ever seen. 17:37
Phenomenal reporting! What a high quality update!
I'd love to see them create a Japanese Ryokan at Walt Disney World.
I think what it came down to in the end, Disney said to the board (all through lawyers obviously) that they are investing $60b into their parks, resorts & cruise ships and that they said that how much they invest in Florida (both at WDW and cruise terminals) will depend on how long they want to drag this out in courts.
More like trying to win the shareholder votes this Month.
That make no sense, because this settlement gives Florida everything they wanted... The entire Settlement is Disney saying they give up...
And $60B for all those parks worldwide AND DCL really isn’t much, especially considering all the deferred maintenance needed at the US parks. Disney is in a hole.
I think they later said the investment in the US parks was about $17 billion. Much of the money goes to the cruise ships. And they didn't make it clear how much of the money was from Disney itself and how much was from investors such as Enterprise and Chrysler.
@@writerpatrick Also, remember most of the money at WDW has gone to hotel de-themes and new DVC.
This whole thing was political theatre on both sides.
Is it ? Disney started this political fight because iger wanted to look progressive he was warned repeatedly not to push it by Desantas the blame sits squarely on disney and its gay agenda
