- Off-Ride footage of Cedar Point's new for 2024 roller coaster "Top Thrill 2" recorded Sunday, April 28 during the Prayers From Maria First Riders Charity Event. This roller coaster features 3 launches, a top speed of 120 mph, and a height of 420 feet. It is an incredible adrenaline rush and a great addition to the park.

I went last year (not so easy to visit from Australia lol) therefore missed this but had ridden TTD years prior, and only really cared about Steel Vengeance as I was dying to ride it, but I *think* the best part for me will be the very back row going up the vertical spike. That should be intense weightlessness with just a lap bar. I remember when tower of terror at Dreamworld (Intamin reverse free fall coaster) had only lap bars and went right up the tower, before they added OTSR's and reversed it, was quite glorious feeling that your lap bar was the only reason you were still in the train, and for a few seconds sustained, so top thrill 2 should be the same but even better as it's in reverse with the height view. It really feels like your body is floating out and is only being held there by a small contraption. Anyway, will see next year, but I think the rear spike has definitely transformed the ride for the better.

I imagine it will ideally be a back of the train ride for the best spike experience and a front of the train ride for the best top hat airtime experience

Hey if possible do you know how long the fast lane line was for TT2 ? I plan on going june 7th for coastermania day but i don’t know if it’s a good idea

How is it u don't like the spike?
You lose a lot of speed on the spike and it is the dullest moment of the ride. Not a bad moment, but not as exciting as the rest of the ride.

Depends on what you like. The original was much more forceful with the launch. Now it is meh with three launches to do what one could previously. Just isn't that exciting of a ride. I'm more looking forward to Epic Universe which will have some truly new and innovative things. As it stands now, TT2 doesn't come close to something like Velocicoaster.

The backwards launch, spike, and final launch more than make up for it. It’s an incredible ride

If it's more reliable that's what matters most.
