Alex love your Rover p4 and what an achievement to refurbish the old icon of British workmanship. I ran a Rover 105s with overdrive as a young lad in 1976 and worked on it endlessly. Name a bit of it and I worked on it. Repaired dash instruments as well. Your speedo video was most interesting, they work on the eddy current method , mutual inductance, magnetic principle and all that. Can be calibrated on the bench with a speed controlled motor driving the rear bearing. Love ❤ your videos .
That meet looked great. So much variety there and all the cars looked in lovely condition! You did a good job of filming all the cars. I wouldn't know where to have started haha. Lyndon's Sunbeam looks amazing! I'd love to see a video on it if possible one day. Thanks for sharing!😎👍
Hi Alex, Great video, loads of different models... A few "did you knows", Daimler Darts were used by Motorway Police when the M1 was opened, and the black Citroen with the "suicide doors" was a type used by French Police to great effect. The blue Ford Cortina Mk3 was a 1600 XL, of which I worked on and drove when I worked at Dagenham Assembly Plant in the '70s, The Fiat 127 body was used by Fords Research Centre at Dunton when they were developing the first Fiestas, codenamed Bobcat... And the "old Bus" you referred to was a Bristol engined and chassis type FLF built at Eastern Coachworks of Lowestoft and was supplied new to Eastern Counties Omnibus Ltd. Hope Jesse enjoyed the day too. Belated Happy New Year to you and thanks again for an enjoyable watch. Cheers for now, Jon B.
8:13 I think it's a voluntary obligation on those to have roof off. it doesn't matter since water will always find its way in; better to be vary about what is going to go wrong next lovely meet and lovely coverage :)
