Fallout 4 really is an amazing game. There are infinite dialogue options and ways to complete the game. In-depth writing and photo realistic graphics make it perfect. 10/10 (HELP, Todd Howard is holding me at gunpoint.)

I've just gone through the Brotherhood story line twice. Once killing PAM and the other leaving PAM alive. Once getting to this mission I have no unique dialogue options. If you have any video recordings of this option let me know I'd love to see it.

For the gen 1 and gen 2 synths, it is silly, but who else is going to care for the innocent third generation synths that don't want to be slaves to the Institute? In the end, they're just one group tackling a problem that nobody else will solve. Meanwhile, the Minutemen are more than capable of saving those who need it, especially slaves.

The biggest irony is how much they sort of need the Institute for their own existence - if you blow it up, no more Synths to worry about. They'd become obsolete the moment the Institute would be beaten or destroyed. I'm not saying their cause isn't sort of subjectively moral. Their have a certain view and act on it or for it. As a pro-Institute player however, well, they seem to be one of the factions I like the least as they're in opposition. Given how I play the main character and not just pretend I'm someone else, I was looking for my son the whole time. Found him. They offered me a spot in that fold, as a sort of "extended family". How could I not take it? I'd rather reform the Institute to make them aid the people long run (at the very least, not hinder them anymore any time soon) than blow an amazing basket of technology and knowledge up because a few synth hippies or techno-fascists demand it. The synths-right question could be dealt with later and over time. Meanwhile we got a Commonwealth to rebuild with the Minutemen and anyone interested :D

@Bob Sacamano The BoS at Cambridge is avoidable. You don’t need to visit them at all. The BoS only really becomes part of the main story after Kellog is dead snd you exit out the building using the elevator upon which the BoS arrival is triggered. I know because I went back to the enterance my first playthrouh and literally spent like 30 hours of playthrough wondering when I’d get to progress the main quest

Killing Danse and Co. technically wiped out the Brotherhood in the Commonwealth... for a matter of days or weeks until their giant airship full of reinforcements shows up immediately hostile to you. As for the Institute, you can kill Father, but you're then unable to progress much through the Institute beyond killing some Gen 2 Synth security. You have to go through the rest of the story with another faction to come back and blow them up. Railroad are so weak you can just walk right in, day one, and shoot their entire leadership on the spot, ending them as an effective faction.
Yeah that writing oversight is rather glaring because I did this on my second play through not really thinking about and just thought to myself why the hell would I go back to that rank church basement again.
I remember when I first played it on the Xbox 1. I had killed everyone like I was supposed to. I noticed my fusion core was low & didn't have a spare. So I left my T51. About an in game week later while heading for Bunker Hill. I heard gunfire in the distance. I proceeded to the location only to find Deacon somehow resurrected stole my power armor and went on a killing spree.
I did this on my first play through because I thought I would be doing the brotherhood a favor by getting rid of them after I heard they were planning to destroy the brotherhood

I only fire in self defense, so I walked into the Railroad HQ and picked up (stole) something from one of their tables. They all opened fire and I was forced to defend myself.
Can the robot be recovered? That would be interesting to see. For example, say a knight loses an arm. If they can use assaultron technology to give him a new one, and maybe give him an extra weapon too, that could be fun.

Bethesda here failed to use this template. Even though the railroad is already dead, the video shows that the player still has to follow the quest exactly as Bethesda designed it. It’s tedious, outdated game design, and depressing.

The BOS should just have focused on taking out the Institute and any issue with the Railroad would have solved itself.
I let Tinker Tom decode the chip then immediately open fired on everybody. Paladin didn't even hate it either, my relationship level was unchanged which was hilarious to me.
I like how the Railroad agents later set up defenses, closed the doors, but left their butt naked leaders just lying there.
