He caught his most elusive target AND the empire's most wanted. One of the reasons why I like to think he was drunk before falling into the sarlacc because hey, who WOULDN'T celebrate a bit after all that? He was practically set for life then and there.

As a kid I must've watched the original trilogy and ROTJ at least a few dozen times (It was one of the few VHSes you could rent at the local library). Bobafet never stood out to me like ever. But after clone wars and especially the Mandalorian all I can say is thanks to the fans who did notice him and kept the lore alive until it was greatly expanded upon in the comics, cartoons, EU and now in live action.
@@cheesedust-n3w we gotta appreciate to his die-hard fans despite his short screen times, and kept his lore alive for over 40 years of comics, novels, short stories and video games, and the introduction of his dad, Jango Fett
@Nick Fletcher. Not to mention when Vader told specifically to Boba in ESB "No disintegrations". You already know that he really means business that he doesn't kill with a blaster outright.
@@someguy9496 na, I'm still sticking with old school Boba, I mean true he came to an undignified & embarrassing end but then at this time he was still a minor character, a briefly seen, hardly heard & ultimately expendable bad guy & tbh, I preferred him this way, not to mention as a clear cut villain too rather than the anti hero type he gets written as later & with the greatest respect to Temuera Morrison, his Boba voice was never quite as menacing as Jason Wingreen. I was ok with his re-intro in the Mandalorian, but in the Book of B F, well, he's basically been turned into the dad in a sitcom. But if you still prefer Disney Boba, then that's ok too...or as Boba might say: "As you wish."
Boba Fett is basically the anti Han Solo: Both are rogues with a code of ethics that got involved in the Galactic Civil War in exchange for money and don't care about politics. But Han eventually grew attached to the Rebellion, genuinely fighting for their cause, whilst Boba doesn't care whom he gets involved with and only works with the Empire as long as he gets paid.
CRFlixxx notice how his so professional about everything like he still calls Han captain solo and has respect for other bounty hunters his not a good or bad guy his just a gunslinger living in that world
The reason Boba Fett became such an icon is probably because of how he catches Solo; he sees through his incredibly cunning escape from the Empire. He’s the guy who figured out his plan and tracked him down. That’s amazing and shows he’s the best bounty hunter ever.

I always saw that as one of small moments Vader showed a light side. That's why Boba Fett and Leia look kind of puzzled since it was seemingly out of character.
In the very original version of Star Wars, Jabba was a human. A short fat guy & he speaks English. But that line from Han still fits with alien Jabba because the sarcastic tone Harrison delivered.
4:52 I love that even the faint sound of Luke drawing his blaster around the corner still alerted Fett. His senses are so sharp, even under the bucket.

@@mase_mase whatever genius writers they had in the original and empire started huffing nitrous or something for rotj. the stuff in the emperor's throne room is amazing and the space battle is good, but other than that, its kinda wild how goofy and nonsensical the movie is. its kinda like the franchise had already gotten too big for its own britches. the sarlac burp is kind of a microcosm of it. that type of thing was not in the first two movies. and empire still manages to be really funny in a lot of parts without stooping to that type of thing

That scene really shouldn't have been brought back, and there's so much wrong with it. It ruins the surprise of Jabba that was originally hyped for 3 movies, is incredibly redundant due to the dialogue being almost one-for-one like the Greedo scene, has the dumbest and most out-of-place Boba Fett cameo(how he legit looks RIGHT at the camera), the fact that Greedo is IN the scene so it taking place after Han shoots him makes no sense... ...Oh yeah, and Jabba looks like shit
Man, I never realized the balls Han Solo had talking to Jabba that way. I always thought Jabba was intimidating. Han steps on his tail and he says, "Han, my boy, you're the best."
@Flare That's what I thought till my friend made me watch it. It's actually really well done and they use a lot of oldschool practical effects along with CG. I also love that stuff brought back from the original movies (like Boba himself) isn't modernized at all... they remade his armor exactly as it was in the 80's.
Now THIS is the Boba Fett character I’ve always known and loved. Mysterious, brooding…not this Book of Boba Fett character who only ever seems to hold his helmet under his arm! OT Boba Fett - face never seen. BOBF - you’re lucky if you see him with his helmet on!!
What the hell did you want? .Just him speaking a line every now , never taking his helmet off and being a total dick for 7 episodes just collecting bounty. They needed to grow his character.
