- Darth Vader is my favorite Star Wars character.This video highlights Vader's sense of humor, and how he can be sarcastic and threatening :) I uploaded here what I consider to be his best lines. What are your favorite lines?
I already uploaded this video on my old RUclips channel "Darth Magistra", which was unfortunately deleted. In this new video, I added lines from Rogue One, and also one or two lines from the original trilogy that were missing in the first upload.

Vader lives for drama. even when he saved Luke at the end on RotJ, he didn't do it because he wanted to save his son, but because it would be the most dramatic way to play out the event at the time

George Lucas’ subtle hints (due to the limits of technology at the time) at how truly powerful Vader is in the Force (choking someone THOUSANDS of light years away) always brings me back to these movies.

The only high ranking officers that are free of reprimand seem to be warrant officers real officers dont know what to do with them so in a way they are like the jedi knights of the army i guess. But yeah other than that PFC/specialist all the way
Vader held most of the officers in disdain, with their office politics and maneuvering. He did respect his Stormtroopers for actually fighting on the ground and getting their hands dirty, as well as certain officers who did the same (e.g. General Veers).
L Spence he really hates those officers that stand on top of star destroyers. He respects the ones the go to battle with him and get their hands dirty
You do really well as a soldier and Vader and Palpatine personally tell you that you have been promoted to Admiral. You smile in their face and thank them but around the corner you cry and say, "oh great... I'm gonna die..." The promotion nobody wants.

I love how Tarkin allows Vader to choke the officer for a little bit before stopping him. It’s like he’s making sure the officer learns his lesson.
It was definitely not Vader‘s fault that the plans ended up in rebel hands long enough for them to analyze it. That was low the officer to say that. So Tarkin was right: bickering is pointless.

The thing i love most about Vader is the inability too read him. Aside from his frightening poise and slow tempo aggression his face being hidden by a masked helmet makes everything all the more menacing. He’s ruthless honestly.
Mac Moncler in addition, he remains calm and ruthlessly deliberate. No one gets him out of character. His anger is at most a slow boil

I think one of the more impressive things about James Earl Jones's voicing of Vader is just how well he can punctuate each and every syllable like with 0:29, despite how JEJ normally has a sort of drawl to his voice and has admitted to having trouble with stuttering. Being able to switch from naturally using longer sounds in your normal voice to all of these pointed, sharp sounds in Vader's lines is impressive.

He’s literally the coldest movie villain of all time you can’t change my mind
I really loved how all of his movements were so cold and calculated the entire time he was Vader with the mask. Even his slaughter on the Rebel Corvette in Rogue One is measured. We only see his pure rage as Vader prior to his duel with Obi-Wan. Movies 4-6 we see a measured man. Evil but measured. The arc of Anakin/Vader was done so well even though the movies were released in the order than they were. And honestly Hayden Christiansen blended the them together beautifully in 2 and 3.

Vader's voice in Empire was just complete perfection. James Earl Jones and the sound team really nailed it in that one.
He had a couple of awesome lines in some of the more recent comics that have stuck with me:
Luke: "You killed my father!"
Vader: "I have killed many fathers. You will have to be more specific."
Rebel soldier: "You're surrounded!"
Vader: "All I am surrounded by is fear and dead men."
The casual television choke is the best.
The Admiral Ozzle killing and Piett promotion is the best scene in all of star wars, maybe in cinema history. I laugh every time Piett side eyes Ozzle as he's passing out.
It's one of my favorite scenes with Vader. He chokes dude out, gives orders and a field promotion all at the same time. Cold-blooded.
I loved how he force choked dude to death while giving the other guy instructions and a promotion.

Darth Vader showed that fighting him required much more than light saber skills (but he also was better in that area) -> when Darth Vader proceeded to throw object after object against him and simply look at Luke struggle.

there are differences in his voice in all the movies. New Hope sounds almost British, Empire it’s more of a chilling growl and then Jedi is more deep and the most American sounding. Rogue One obviously has J E Jones being an older man so that’s why that sounds very different
