    Over Winter, I've taken to drinking "Bonox", it's a concentrated beef stock that you make into a beef tea with hot water, providing 22% DI of sodium and 2% DI protein with each teaspoon. It contains less than 1% DI for everything else. I drink this twice a day, and am really beginning to crave it - especially when I add milk and cream to it as well (I did it accidentally one half-awake time mistaking it for coffee!). The first one is at about morning tea time - I'm using it to help extend my fast a little because I'm struggling a little with not eating breakfast. The last one is at night about an hour before bed - the savoury taste absolutely kills any sugar cravings, so it really helps me to not snack after dinner. My question is: is this drink a good electrolyte source? Do you see any problems with my continued use of it? I've lost 15 years worth of weight, reduced BP and BSL back to normal and am basically maintaining myself now.

    Get ketone strips that measure BHB. Acetoacetate is the first ketone produced in the body during ketosis.

    • @Hertz2laugh
      @Hertz2laugh 7 месяцев назад +1

      Keep in mind that the longer you stay in ketosis, the more efficient your body gets at using up the ketones -- don't freak out if your ketone strips get lighter and lighter over time even though you are being strict with your eating.
      The more efficient your get with your ketones, the less you are peeing out onto the strips.

    Im trying to understand the use of keytones and wonder about the follow if you wake in the morning and have some coffee with MCT oil or powder so as not to break your fast and stay in keytosis but then you eat some carbohydrates what happens to the carbohydrates does the carbohydrates take precedence or what happens? Also how do you determine you have depleted the carbohydrates go I also saw a meter you showed I think its was called Lemu. Is that helpful to determine if you are in keytosis. Same goes if you wake up from sleep and start eating carbohydrates is it wastefull to take exogenous keytones will they do any good im confussed how to use these keytones does anyone have an information
    Thank you

    It's been 2 weeks since I've been on a keto diet, first 4 days I checked the keton level tru breath keton device and nothing show, kinda upset but I still continue the diet.
    I started keto on Oct 3rd
    Weight: 71,45 kg
    Body fat: 37,7%
    BMI: 30,9
    Oct 17th
    Weight: 68,95kg
    Body fat: 36,0%
    BMI: 29,8
    I don't know if this is good progress in keto or I should lose more than this

    • @Hertz2laugh
      @Hertz2laugh 7 месяцев назад

      Your progress depends on so many different factors. It's hard to compare it to any standard because each person's health condition when they start is so different.
      Are you really interested in losing weight in a general sense, or are you interested in losing *_fat_* and having a healthy body *_shape?_*
      I'm in my second year of zero-carb keto (carnivore diet). I strongly suggest you stop weighing yourself and switch to measuring yourself instead.
      Going by weight can be very depressing because you will inevitably hit a weight loss plateau.
      You'll start getting anxious when the number on the scale stops going down.
      Just be faithful to stay under 20g carbs per day and keep taking your measurements.
      How you look and feel is a much more psychologically healthy way to measure your progress than a number on a scale.
      That was my experience anyway.

      20 seconds MAXIMUM intensity. Rest until heart rate comes down to a comfortable level and then go again.

    Hi kait, when I eat just fat and protein example, 3 slices of bacon, 3 eggs Fried in bacon fat and 3 tablespoon of cold butter. I still feel this type of slight hunger after I’m finished however when I eat this same breakfast BUT add a small amount of white potato Fried in bacon fat, I then don’t feel hunger for hours. I would love to cut out all carbs but my body doesn’t feel fully satisfied after a meal unless I include some. Can someone explain? (I’m female, 53kg and 163cm, athletic frame)
    I’m just worried because I’m eating such high fat COMBINED carbs. I have one stick of butter along with fatty meats and eggs, and about 120 grams carbs a day.
