I'm 63, this is not unusual( the bug smash) when I was a kid. It's healthy for the pollinators (the bugs) and the creatures [birds and lizards] that eat bugs. My job as a six year old on a farm, was to scrub windshields every few days. Sadly, it's not so common now due to wide spread use of pesticides. At a minimum, put a stocking over the snorkel inlet. For larger bugs, fit a, removeable, large guage screen over your front. I have four screens for use - water crossing (canvas), anti-bug (wide guage), anti-seeds (small guage - slow speeds) and an anti-breaking for winch lines (to prevent death by recovery). The water crossing screen is rolled up and attached to the bull bar. The winch failure screen is steel mesh and folded back over the bonnet with rubber mounts. The other two screens are deployed as required.
Another good vid guys. Looking forward to seeing what you guys future entails (new van/tug) I have a question about your Scangauge you are using. I am assuming its a Scangauge 2? I am heading off to WA for a 3 month trip in April from Sydney and would like to monitor my Auto Transmission Temp as I am towing a 23 ft van with my 2017 Ranger XLT. I am pretty sure you mentioned you added the code/s to monitor these temps in yours. Does it work and does it appear accurate? Thanks for your time.
Thank you mate! We actually don’t have any kind of scanning tool on our car, I did look into them but never got one as I think I’m the kind of person who would monitor it way too closely and worry about everything!
Hi guys, the bugs are flying ants. When they get on the move it usually means rain is on the way.🥶They are more reliable than the weather report. Cheers.
